Harriet was a funny and fabulous character … loved the gumbo, tips, pralines and bananas foster… only slight negative was the jambalaya which didn’t have much flavour… but so glad I went on this activity! Yummy and fun

The chef was funny and knowledge about New Orleans history and also made plenty of delicious food to share with the class. Recipes for what we are we're provided as well as tips for future use. Have find this before with a different menu and it was nice to see there are choices of menus before you book. Fun!

Chef Michael was so informative and entertaining. Great value, atmosphere and food. Being from Louisiana myself and cooking since the age of 12, I too learned a few new tricks. Thanks. We hope to return again one day.

The stories the chef shared during the demonstration were interesting and informative. My husband and I enjoyed this class. Being able to watch the chef prepare the food and then eating it was well worth the cost.

Pros. The cooking demonstration was informative and interesting and he had a wealth of knowledge on Louisiana and how the cooking style morphed from other countries into what it is now. Cons. The instructor made sexual innuendos which was amusing to 1 particular table but it was very uncomfortable for me and my table mates and as I looked around at other participants, I could tell by eye contact and their expressions that they were feeling ill at ease as well and it was certainly not appropriate and in the business world it is considered “ sexual harassment”. Although the instructor was very informative and created very good food, his assertive nature bordered a bit confrontational side. The first “con” can be remedied with a bit of coaching but can’t be undone, the 2nd one is just his personality it seems.

This was a highlight of our trip! Pat the woman conducting the glass is a first class chef with humour and great history lessons tossed in for flavour. If our class was this good the hands on would 5+!! The actual meal was excellent and you won’t need to eat again for awhile. The shopping is fun after too! This will satisfy any foodies in your group but it is just a good time or time well spent. PS Thank You Pat!

Our chef Pat was incredible. She could run her own tv show. Fun and interesting information. This was a demonstration class, and by the time she was done there was plenty of food to go around so don't eat beforehand. You could tell everyone in the group was having a great time. She answered questions and gave us ideas of how to add certain ingredients to change up the recipe to suit you taste. This is an activity that I would go to again.

We thoroughly enjoyed the 2 hour demo class with Chef Rene. He was well prepared to feed 60 of us gumbo, jambalaya and pralines. Most of the food was already prepped or started so it would be ready to serve. We learned so much about the creole and Cajun dishes and all the variations as well as the history of the people. Super fun class and I’d highly recommend it. You get several drink option and enough to eat to leave full.
