Neel is amazing! I had such a lovely day sightseeing around Negombo. Neel was knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable and very safe. Such a great start to my trip in Sri Lanka :)

I booked a four hour Negombo Day Tour for 10:30, not realizing how intense the heat is in the middle of the day. But Amal was so accommodating and made adjustments for the itinerary. He even added a boat ride on the lagoon, which was lovely (and cooler than staying on land). Here we are enjoying delicious local fruit in the lagoon. As an older female traveling alone, I felt very safe with Amal. He is engaging and knowledgeable which makes him a perfect guide. I highly recommend Amal to give you a great experience in Sri Lanka.

Great tour of Negombo! Neel was fantastic - genuine guy with excellent knowledge of Negombo. Visited all of the sights - market, fish market, fishing and drying area, tasted fresh fruits, visited churches and temples. If you need a guide, you need Neel! Check out his business - he is a real asset to Sri Lankan tourism!

Neel was great !! Very accommodating and helpful. Tour was definitely great value. We ended up adding on a canal boat tour and lunch at a canal restaurant. Lots of information, lots to see and learn. Boat skipper was and excellent wildlife spotter. Would absolutely recommend!!

Neel was amazing !! He happily delayed our tour for an hour as we had had motel issues. He then extended our tour to include a canal boat tour which was beautiful and full of nature - our skipper had a great eye for bird spotting !! We had a fabulous lunch at a canal restaurant - excellent food and cold drinks. We saw lots of Negombo and learnt some interesting facts about Sri Lanka in general. Booked aiport pickup and the day tour next day. Neel was always on time, really easy going and a safe driver. He showed us around Negombo - churches, temples, fish market. It was super hot so we declined a shopping visit but then late pm we paid for the river trip & he picked us up. Really lovely. All was great. We will recommend him to anyone wanting a Sri Lankan tour.

This was a fabulous half day tour of Negombo with Amal, who is a great tour guide and driver. We went to churches, Buddhist and Hindu temples, and some time in a few markets. I am so happy that I chose this tour! I highly recommend for anyone coming to this area.

The next step, the next door country which is just 25Kms away from my home land India - Srilanka is such a better place to come out of your regular, routine work & be peaceful for some days. & Neel (I suggest to call him Armstrong :) ) will be the best guide support, companion in Srilanka. On the tour day, we picked up by Shannon (the son) and his friend Ayesh. We had a good time with Shannon and Ayesh who showed us around Negombo. He came on time to pick us up at the hotel and we went around town to hit the landmarks, churches, temples and the Dutch fort. We went to the fisherman’s village and saw up close the drying of salted fish, and the auctions and bargaining for tuna and other premium fish. Close to noon, we made a stop at a small pier where we could rent a boat and cruise along the lagoon. At first we hesitated but this turned out to be the highlight of the trip. We visited islands, enjoyed fresh local watermelon and mangos with coconut drinks. Shannon and Ayesh were born and raised in Negombo and are very knowledgeable so be sure to chat with them and ask questions and their opinions. Going back, I asked Shannon to recommend a restaurant for us to have lunch. He recommended an Italian restaurant that happened to be walking distance from our hotel. The food was amazing!!

I had a solo tour today. It was very chill and relaxing. It is good. Guide is friendly and flexible with the schedule.

We had a great time with Neel proudly showing us around this lovely fishing town, now also a tourist hub just north of Colombo airport. Much recommended, as he will adapt the tour to your own requirements and interests.

Our driver Amal picked us up promptly from the hotel and took us to places of interest as well as those we wanted to visit. Amal is an extremely friendly, patient and kind man who permanently has a big smile on his face and nothing is too much trouble for him. We visited various places of interest beautiful churches and temples One of the highlights was the boat trip along the Dutch Canal and into the lagoon. We saw lots of herons, egrets, monkeys and also lizards you need a camera with you to capture all the wildlife. We had a fruit picnic and fresh coconut milk sitting on a stool with our feet in the water in the middle of the lagoon.The highlight of the trip was feeding monkeys who live on a small island in the mangroves who came onto the boat and finished the fruit we didn’t eat. Would recommend wearing shorts if you don’t want to get your trousers wet and a certain amount of mobility is required to get in and out of the boat.

Neel was a considerate and conscientious tour guide on this 1/2 day tour; happy to make suggestions of what to do / see, but also happy to let the tour evolve based on interests and preferences. Neel, was knowledgeable and polite. He showed us the sights of Negombo and let us defer from the plan if we wished to, or if there was something in particular we wanted to see. He also drove us from Negombo to Kandy for a very reasonable price. Recommend!
