The driver, Greg was wonderful!! The wineries were nice but would have rather gone to others. The lunch in Sonoma was wonderful at the Girl and the Fig!!
I really wanted to give this tour a great review, as the tour guide was very friendly and the vineyards were wonderful. However, my complaint is also a pretty big one as it relates to safety. We were told when this tour happened that when travelling and in enclosed spaces that masks were mandatory. To be honest that is one of the reasons we selected this tour. However, instead there were multiple people on board who did not wear masks. I also realize that this would be difficult to monitor if they wore the masks on board and then took them off. But this wasn't the case there were many who did not wear masks on to the bus, and even had conversations with the bus driver! Therefore it was extremely evident that they were not following the rules and yet they were never spoken to. My girlfriend and I are now worried, this tour took place one week before we see our families (many of whom are older or have pre-existing ailments) and now we are going to have to try somehow to get tested before seeing them because of this tour. Again, I wish I did not have to give this tour such a negative review as it was really fun....but having fun is not as much a priority as feeling safe, and we did not feel safe.
Antonio gave us a great experience, we have a wonderful day and went to great wineries, however the tour could add some extra time in Napa
The whole trip was planned well to attend 3 wineries. The lunch break could be shortened to 1 hour as when we reached the 3rd winery, we did not get much time to relax there.
The tour was amazing. Great tour guide. Very knowledgeable about San Francisco and Sonoma/Napa Valley. Highly recommend!!
The different stops were all amazing. We met lots of new people. My favorite was Roche Winery. Greg was a wonderful tour guide.
Everything about this experience was AMAZING! Loved every single thing from tour bus tour guide to every stop made was fantastic! Learning about how wine is made was wondering.
The bus was very nice and comfortable however the group of about 40 people was rowdy overall and people were not wearing masks on the bus and it wasn’t enforced. The driver was very nice though and knowledgeable about wine and shared a lot of interesting facts as we made our way to wine country. Once there the wineries we visited had beautiful grounds i think the first winery we visited though did not even provide any info about the wines, how to drink wine and gave us tiny pours- like barely one swig. Yes it’s a tasting but the other wineries poured a lot more so we could actually taste the wine and get our moneys worth. The other two wineries were great, the hosts took time to explain their winery and really explain why their wine is special. Overall it was an ok experience but I’ve been on better wine tours here in the bay. This one is a bit less personalized for my taste and too many people in times of the pandemic.
Antonio our tour guide gave us a great history of wine country and the wineries were just right. We enjoyed it very much! Would highly suggest it.
Tour guide Greg was very knowledgeable about the Sonoma and Napa wine areas. He was pleasant and accommodating. Tour is highly recommended.
This was a really complete tour! We really only saw the land of a winery at the first place (B.R. Cohn), but it was really beautiful. Our tour guide was very kind & knowledgeable. He explained a lot about San Francisco's history and about winemaking as we drove to Sonoma. The wine at the second winery was really tasty (Madonna Estates), and they explained a bit of the process and how to taste wine. The last winery was small, but had a good selection of red wines. The bus was comfortable, and I felt like we got to see a lot in a relatively short period of time. We got about 1-1.5 hours at each winery, and 1.5 hours for lunch. The donuts in Sonoma Square are worth every penny! Overall, a really good experience!
Wonderful experience with good friends. The wine was wonderful and the the venders kept pouring. 🍇🍸🍷🍸🍇🍸🍷🍸🍇🍸🍷🍇🍇
Highly recommend this tour! They were friendly and organized, and made the experience fun and stress-free.
We had a girls weekend and the wine tour was the best part of the trip. It was informative and drinking wine is always a plus. Lol
We really had such a great time. I went with my husband for our 10 year anniversary. Our guide was amazing and so knowledgeable. We stopped at good places, got to enjoy ourselves, and even met great people. I would definitely do it again and recommend it.
This was an awesome experience. Enjoyed this towards the end of our trip to San Francisco and enjoyed every minute of it. The tour guide was awesome! He spoke about the history of the city and wineries during the drive. All the wineries were great and had a different vibe to them. This is a must even if your visiting for a long weekend.
My sister and I went to Napa/Sonoma during the Bomb Cyclone, when it rained 14 inches that day in Sonoma alone. Antonio, our driver, was very interesting and knew the area very well. The best part is he was a really good driver and managed to get us there and back during one of the worst rainstorms in a very long time. I hope people tipped him well. He deserved it!
Before I go in on everything that was wrong with this day, there were some positives: Greg our bus driver was FANTASTIC. We learned so much from him! Great commentary. Also I was able to get in touch with customer service while we were at the first winery to express our disappointment at the entire day schedule change. And B.R. Cohn winery is the most beautiful winery EVER. NEGATIVES: we were so looking forward to seeing Napa and Sonoma. Once we got on the bus the driver told us the wineries we were going to be going to, where we were going to go for lunch etc. As we were 10 minutes away from the first winery, the bus driver gets a call that the WHOLE itinerary was changing. They sent us to a winery farther away in Sonoma so we were later than expected for the first tasting. Yes the scenery was gorgeous but we were literally sitting on the side of a very busy highway (noisy) and the wine was not that great (winery was Muscardini). Then we went to B.R. Cohn which was the only good part of the day. Beautiful place, good wine and olive oil club to join. Then to lunch in Sonoma-many excellent places to eat and good ice cream spot. Last place was Sutter Home winery-SHUTTER HOME? I will not even buy Sutter Home in the liquor store let alone want to go there on a Napa tour. So disappointing that was our only Napa experience. Had much higher expectations.
We had so much fun from pick up to drop off and wish it didn't end. Our tour was full but the coach bus was VERY COMFORTABLE. Our group was fun, we had a Birthday, a proposal and upbeat crowd. Tour was 9 hours but was not boring AT ALL. Highly recommend this tour, don't plan anything because it is a full day. Hopefully you'll get Antonio he was the bomb and I'll do any tour with him. He rarely stopped talking, very knowledgeable, funny, respectable and responsible for all of us. Took everyone's pictures, cracked all kinds of jokes. Played some great music too keep the mood going. It was bittersweet to say goodbye to Antonio and hopefully you get him!
The tour was amazing . Every vineyard we visited were beautiful and knowledgeable. This is a perfect tour and worth every penny !
We loved the first winery -Muscardini cellars. Excellent wines. Madonna state excellent for white wines. The third winery, beautiful vineyard but not so crazy about the wines. The driver/tour guide-excellent. His name is Antonio, from the beginning to the end of the tour was giving us excellent information and also we learned about the vineyards with him. Again, we give him a million stars.
This full day wine tour was such a great experience! The tour guide was great and he gave tons of information about San Francisco and the wineries throughout the ride. Three wineries and lunch in Sonoma was the perfect way to see the wine country in one day, and they were all very beautiful. Highly recommend this trip!
Great trip driver Greg was awesome. Great views great winery’s BR Cohn is beautiful views. Sutter home great grounds. Just a really awesome trip. Wow!
It was such an organized trip and both driver and a guide is knowledgeable and fun. Definitely a money worth day trip for anyone.
Took a bus tour with grey lines and they did a great job. Met a lot of wonderful people.would highly recommend it.
Tour guide was AMAZING! He told us about a lot of significant stops along the way. He had so much knowledge.
I loved the whole tour. Our driver Greg was great. He showed us the sights along our journey to the wineries and have us plenty of time at each stop. Roche Winery was by far the favorite, great personalities and generous pours! 🥂 Lunch at Sonoma Plaza was perfect, went to the Italian restaurant and it was delicious. Definitely recommend!
Michele was great! As was our driver! I am a tour guide in Yellowstone and understand the balance of talk and be quiet, as Michele did. So much great information on the way to Napa and Sonoma and between wineries, but allowed those who really enjoyed the wine to sleep on the way back! The winery selections were great. Beware of Roche as they will please you borderline of too much! I have not taken any other tours of the area but I doubt one is as good as this, especially for the price! Love Love Love!!! Highly recommend and will book again, next year and the next and the next, forever!
The host Antonio is what made our trip special. The wine choices where ehh but it was the tour and experience.
