Obed picked us up promptly for our Tea Farm Tour. He was pleasant and provided a wealth of knowledge on the ride up to the farm. One of my friends had been avidly practicing Swahili and he entertained her questions while teaching her new phrases. Upon arrival at the tea farm estate we were greeted by Fiona who was a very kind and sweet lady. Her family is 5th generation British tea farmers and she was born and raised in Kenya. She explained in grave detail what the harvesting process was like, took us to the field and let us know how they get the tea from picking stage to the processing factory. After that, we broke for tea tasting and then Julius gave us a tour of the forrest on the estate. It was filled with medicinal trees, plants, and herbs. He was very patient, knowledgeable and taught us so much about what the Kenyan ecosystem has to offer! Following this we had a delicious 4 course dinner made by the in house chef of Kenya delights and were transported back by Obed. We loved it! The program was great and we enjoyed how it flowed. Please do not miss out on this incredible experience!

The tea farm was a beautiful place to spend the day. I enjoyed the tour and education on how tea is made, as well as the history of tea in Kenya. They also had a nice garden to walk around, a small forest walk, and great food. It was also cool to see the home and how much was preserved from what Fiona's grandfather built. After the tour and food, we were welcome to hang out in the gardens and on the lawn, very big leisure vibes, which I love. Even if you aren't a big tea drinker this is a great trip. Alex was an amazing guide and driver, and great company for the drive, ask for Alex whenever you book!

This owner of this tea farm does a wonderful job of explaining how tea is grown and processed. It was very educational! We sat in her living room as she explained things. The actual tea farm is quite small (2 acres) and doesn’t give the feeling of a large tea plantation . The walk through the natural forest was nice but the guide wasn’t very informative. The food was excellent and everything was well appointed. One could imagine tea time in the early 20s. Highly recommend

Me and my boyfriend went to Kiambethu Tea Farm in September. We were picked up from a private residence and driven to the tea farm. Our driver was around an hour early but otherwise he was great. He told us many things about Kenya on the way and was a very nice driver. The views were beautiful, the food was great and overall the experience was great. It's a great activity for tea lovers.

We loved visiting the tea farm. It was so beautiful and peaceful. It was interesting to learn all about growing and processing tea. Then we took a walk in the forest followed by an incredible lunch outside surrounded by the flower gardens. Our driver Tim was great and gave us lots of information. The area we drove through were very enlightening.

If you're a tea-drinker like me, this experience is a wonderful way to learn about and appreciate the labor and complexities that goes into the tea that so many of us enjoy. If you've spent days being active in and around Nairobi and are ready for a lower key day, this fits the bill. Safari Port makes transportation easy, and the beautiful setting and enjoyable meal at Kiambethu is a lovely way to unwind a little.

The tour was very well thought through. It was a perfect balance of info, drinks, walks, owner presence, employees, dogs, landscape, forest, garden. Exquisite food. Relaxing atmosphere. The perfect twist was a traffic jam at the UN HQ, which allowed us to discuss local politics at length with our excellent driver Moses.

Once in the farm, beatiful, the owner, Fiona gives a lecture about the tea history in Nairobi and about their family in a very comfy plce. We have tasted teas follow her explanations an enjoy a good meal. Of course we have visited the farm. Go for it booked with them

A lovely respite from the hustle and bustle of Nairobi up in the beautiful Ngong Hills. Fiona gave an excellent presentation about the harvesting of tea. A walk through the forest there showed us many medicinal trees. The garden as well as the luncheon we’re spectacular.

Moses was knowledgeable in regard to Kenya history. The drive to the tea farm was quite enjoyable. The Riara farm tea experience was exceptionally informative. The process, from the field to the final product was explained within an interactive format.

This was a last minute request on my side. And Oled was very reactive and was able to arrange a tour for me on time. Right before I had to leave for the airport. Can't ask for a better service. As for the visit itself, the farm visit was nice. Though we didn't get to pick up some tea leaves :) The food served was really delicious. PS: The farm owner is a very nice british lady. Not a local.

Fantastic tour! I didn't realize I had booked a private driver, but Dennis was a great tour guide! On the hour and a half drive to the tea farm he told me many things about the history of Kenya and taught me Swahili words. There were more people attending the actual tour at the tea farm once I got there. It was very informative about the tea making process. A home cooked meal made from fresh produce grown right there on the farm is served for lunch and you can purchase boxes of tea to take home with you. Dennis was very accommodating because after the tour I asked him where I could buy additional souvenirs and he took me to the Village Market mall even though that was not included in the original itinerary.

Our driver Paul promptly picked us up at our hotel in Nairobi and took us to the tea farm. We had a wonderful time listening to Fiona's stories and history of her farm. Well worth the money. The multi-course lunch was great. When we were done with our meal, Paul took us back to our starting point. I would highly recommend the tour and don't hesitate to ask for Paul as your driver!

My tour guide Obed was very kind and informative. The drive to the tea farm alone was full of information ! The tea tour itself is short but enough. And the meal on the farm was amazing. The set up / staff were extremely kind . I think it’s a unique experience that anyone can enjoy (even solo).
