Yoshiko Hattori is a wonderful tour guide of Nagasaki! She was easy to find at the meeting point and our 2 boys (6 &9) loved her company. Our first stop was the Atomic Bomb Museum. Yoshi advised on the parts of museum that might be too gruesome for the children. She took the boys and taught them how to fold origami cranes while we were able to continue through the rest of the museum. We then walked to the Hypocenter and Peace Park. Yoshi has lots of great local knowledge and personal stories to share regarding the history of Nagasaki which enriched our experience. Our next stop took us to the Ropeway to the observation deck on Mt. Inasayama to enjoy the views of Nagasaki. At there entrance there is a Shinto Shrine and Yoshi shared with our family the proper etiquette. The last stop with Yoshi was the stone bridges that span the Nakashima River. At Meganebashi Bridge (Spectacles Bridge) much to the delight of my children she pulled out bread for to feed the koi/carp. Thank you Yoshi for the great tour and your patient kindness with our energetic boys.

We had a fabulous time with Minnie. She was great at getting us to the spots we were most interested in and ensuring we had a good experience. We saw a lot more than we expected to, and many brought a locals perspective that only enhanced our visit highly recommend her to anyone.

Yoshi is knowledgeable and personable for our Nagasaki tour. Way before our trip, she contacted us about our preference for transportation, lunch, and sightseeing places. We went to five places and spent sufficient time at each location. My favourite was the Dutch Deijima. Yoshi shared about how foreign influence shaped the city and how such influence was spread or intentionally curtailed in Japan at that time. I observed that Nagasaki served as the artery for trade with China, Korea, and Europe. Nagasaki is cosmopolitan, a place rich with history of trade and WWII. We were pleasantly surprised by Nagasaki as the people and atmosphere differ from other major Japanese cities. Yoshi called tour guiding her calling, and you could feel her passion instantly.

Hattori Yoshikoさん provided me such a wonderful and memorable experience in Nagasaki! She is fluent in English and very knowledgeable about the history, local food, life in Nagasaki, whatever questions we have, she knows the answer. I didn’t have an itinerary, 全部 Yoshikoさんにお任せしました. I feel that she is a local friend of mine, in addition to the sight seeing, she also taught us how to make 折り紙, and a surprise stop by at 福山雅治’s実家!as a Japanese ドラマ fan, I was thrilled! 色々、芸能人の話をして、すごく楽しかった!運転手さんもとても親切してくれた。本当にありがとうございました!if you want to tour around Nagasaki, ぜひ、Yoshikoさんに会いに来て、Yoshikoさんに任せてください!

Dear Norah, thank you so much for sharing your love of this beautiful city with my family and I. Your passion is infectious, and Nagasaki has quickly become one of our favourite places in Japan, and we are looking forward to coming back one day and spending more time here! I really appreciated not just your knowledge that you so readily shared, but also your thoughtfulness by looking for options to make my parents more comfortable during their experience.

The atomic bomb museum was quite impactful, as was the visit to Spectacle Bridge. However, after the tourist activities, the quiet lunch in a small soba noodle restaurant was a real pleasure.

We had a great time touring and learning about Nagasaki with Norah (Noriko) our guide. She was a pleasure to be around and has great knowledge of the area. She organized the whole day including a visit to the peace museum. She also arranged a lunch at a fantastic Yakiniku restaurant that the locals like.

Our guide was wonderful, considerate, and kind. We were able.to learn about ground zero and the effects of the A bomb on jJapan and the world as a whole with this personalized tour. If you are looking for a day full of knowledge, this is a tour for you. Our guide even helped me with a unique gift request from my grandson for anime characters. Wonderful day!

We loved this tour, and especially our guide, Yoshi San, who spoke with great pride about her beautiful city. She is very knowledgeable and crafted a custom itinerary that was the perfect fit for us. We visited Mount Inasa for gorgeous panoramic views of the city, took a gondola down the mountain, visited ground zero and Peace Park, and a number of other spots for sightseeing. Yoshi also told us about local dishes and helped us find a restaurant for after our tour. We can't wait to come back again after our wonderful tour. Thanks Yoshi San!

We booked the full day tour. Fumiko was our assigned guide. She was amazing. We discussed with her what we wanted to do because our cruise ship was coming back to Nagasaki for a second stop. On the first stop with Fumiko we did distant sites. She perfectly planned our tour by bus. We paid for the one day bus pass. We could not be more pleased with our day with Fumiko. On our second stop in Nagasaki we walked to the sites that were close to the port. If we ever return to Nagasaki we will request Fumiko to be our guide. It was a great day.

A warm and wonderfully charming guide in Yoshiko Hattatori. Absolutely best guide we have had over many years experience in different countries and on different continents. We were especially interested in Dejima and Yoshi adapted with exquisite skill to our particular interests. We thought by the time we had finished that we were bidding goodbye to a good friend.

We had the most amazing day with Yoshiko. she was so knowledgeable about Nagasaki and introduced numbers of unexpected elements which made it one of our best days on our trip to japan. We had a lot of private guides in our two weeks in the country and Yoshiko stood out as the best! Her english was excellent and she gave us a very broad and deep understanding of Japan as well as her city.

Yoshi was friendly, engaging and very knowledgeable. Her fluency of English was truly impressive as Yoshi taught herself by reading books. She even laughed at my sometimes poorly timed and not-so-funny jokes! Yoshi was obviously a Nagasaki native who knew the city and it’s important monuments like the back of her hands. I highly recommend Yoshi for anyone visiting Nagasaki and especially for those who are interested in history and culture.

We spent a great day with Fumiko San, our guide from Japan Guide Agency (JGA). She was prompt, arrived early in meeting us at our hotel, friendly, very knowledgeable about her home city of Nagasaki and spoke English very well. My young son was especially engaged with her in discussions about her beautiful home city and its history. Pre-tour communication with Fumiko and JGA regarding arrangements were very prompt and helpful. Aloha and thank you Fumiko San.
