What a fun way to spend the morning. Very accommodating to my mom who was with us (91) with a walker. The driver helped her on and off and couldn’t have been nicer. The guide Kathryn was so knowledgeable about everything Myrtle beach! Love learning history of an area we are visiting and this was such a great way to learn all sorts of tidbits. We all highly recommend taking this tour. We will surely take one of the other 2 next time we are here. Even got a great book included! Thank you for everything

I liked that the tour was inclusive. The tour shared the White and Black influence on music and movie culture.

The tour guide was a wealth of information. She rhymed off events, dates and personalities non stop throughout the tour. I enjoyed this tour and would recommend it to others.

Visiting Charlie's place was a high point with the history of Myrtle Beach's Black history. I have recommended the tour to family and friends.

Our guide did a fantastic job at sharing so many stories about Myrtle Beach, and its unique history in many different aspects from real estate, movies, golf courses and travel. Even if you’re not a newcomer to the area, you will enjoy this tour!

Excellent tour!! Besides a wealth of interesting information succinctly delivered, communication and meet-up instructions were great. The mix of info was very well integrated and even included ‘who knew?’ tidbits!

This is a excellent experience! The tour had great details on the start off Myrtle Beach and the WWII Era. It's definitely a tour everyone should consider taking.

Fun! Packed with LOTS of information - at times, too much info. Maybe could have slowed down and given us time to relax and enjoy the ride.

Unfortunately, we had to cancel because my girlfriend was sick. I called the operator the morning of the tour. The rep told me that “I hope she feels better “.

It was memorable because it has a lot of history of how the South was before the Civil War. In spite of the segregation, the black ancestors always found a way to express themselves through music.

My husband and I live in NC and go to Myrtle Beach often. This tour made this trip one of our best so far. Our tour guide, Kathryn, was very knowledgeable, clear spoken and enthusiastic. She knew the people, the places, and the key events that make up Myrtle Beach history. I especially enjoyed MB's revitalization projects and the stop at Tony's place. I would recommend this tour to all history buffs.

Loved the Myrtle Beach tour especially the history of Charlie's Place. Katherine's reflections of her life and how it intertwined with significant elements in Myrtle Beach was remarkable.

My parents and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour by Katherine. She was very complete and enthusiastic about teaching us about her town. My favorite parts were the history of the country singers and how they made it big and our visit to Charlie's Place that is now a historic marker. I would definitely do another tour with Katharine. The movie history book we received was so very informative. Best 2 hours of my day.

When we travel we like taking bus tours to get an overview of the area we were in. Lucky for us, this tour was available in Myrtle Beach. In a 2 hour tour we were driven all over Myrtle Beach and got a good overview of the city, its place in history and in particular movies that were filmed there and music. (Admittedly we know little about music so that part was less interesting to us.) Catherine, the tour guide, was very knowledgeable and passionate about the area. The bus was comfortable. We even received a complimentary book authored by Catherine. An enjoyable way to spend 2 hours. The tour begins and ends at The Market Common, a shopping, dining and entertainment area, where it was easy to get lunch after the tour.

My favorite part was when we went to Charlie’s Place. I truly enjoyed all of the background information that was shared with us and how she put it into context for Myrtle Beach history
