I thoroughly enjoyed spending a full day at the Great Wall. My guide was Jackie and I enjoyed walking on the Wall with him a lot. So then why only 2 stars? I booked the "Thru-Hike Adventure (Challenge)" option, and the description there states "4.5-Hour Guided hike over 20 Towers from unrestored section. Covering West & East Line + Toboggan included". My guide only walked from Tower 14 to Tower 6 with me, so the description turned out to be misleading.

The tour was pretty nice, tour guide Fred gave us all the information needed to have a pleasant time in the Great Wall, all the options and recommendations to be able to enjoy the visit, they are really flexible about the options. I would highly recommend this tour if you want to visit the Great Wall and avoid the crowed areas

I wasn’t sure what to expect from the tour, as I had booked the self-stroll option. But the whole experience was amazing! The driver who picked me up was prompt, and then Tony met me at the entrance to the site. He was chatty and friendly, and did an excellent job of explaining everything to me. He came with me in the shuttle bus, and up in the cable car and took pictures for me as I was alone. He messaged me to check in with how I was getting on, and made me feel very comfortable. An amazing experience. This is my second time at Mutianyu section and it didn’t disappoint especially this time. The reason is because I decided to go with Mubus. Mike was our guide and let me tell you that he’s the best tour guide I’ve ever had. Jolly, outgoing, funny person. He spoke very fluent English and explained to us about the history of the Wall. Took care of our tickets to the wall, cable car/ropeway/tobaggon and the lunch buffet. Also the picture frames which he’ll explain to you on the bus. My family had a wonderful time and it was their first time in China! Thanks to Mike and Mubus for making our trip a very memorable and welcoming experience. Highly recommend this service by Mubus. My husband and I wanted to visit the Great Wall and we chose Mubus because Lonely Planet Guide book recommended it. We took the private car option and we couldn't have been happier! Fred has an electric car which is very clean & comfortable. He is a very professional guide and gave us many explanations about Chinese history. He is a real professional! I would highly recommend him and Mubus private car service option for everyone interested in visiting the Great Wall!

Saw the reviewed at Tripadvisor but still compared with private car. I thought it will be difficult to navigate to the meeting point in town but it was easy by metro. Last minute, I decided and choosed Mubus 8:00am departure with lunch package. Meet Fred, our tour guide and the registration was smooth. Fred spoke English and Mandarin, very friendly and made our journey relax. The bus were clean with 2+2 seat configuration and we were about almost 30 pax on that day. Lunch come with delicious hot chinese food, salad, soup, fries and fruits. Thank you Mubus.

This trip was a 10/10. Claire was the best guide we could ask for! English speaking was great and made the entire trip go smoothly.

I enjoyed my experience with this trip to Great Wall. The weather is great in October. Jily is a good tour guide too.

Tour is great, can’t recommend it enough! I had initially planned to go on the 8am but because of taxi issues, went on 10am, which ended up being great. The Great Wall was pretty much empty and we caught great late afternoon with clear skies. Tony, our guide, explained everything on the way and gave all the tips, super clear. We had enough time to do East and West sections, including the toboggan. The lunch provided is nothing especial, but it is good enough so you don’t have to worry about food there. Also loved that this tour went right away to the Wall without any stops for shopping. Highly recommend and would go again!

Going to Mutainyu Great Wall with Musbus is good choice. Very convenient with reasonable price. Tour guide name Fred is a nice guy.

Great variant if you do not like shopping and like to be concentrated on the wall exploration. Two cable cars allow to see substantial part of the wall during 4 hours.
