My friend of I did the 9-day highlights of the Morocco tour in early October. It's an excellent tour for visiting many cities and seeing many important sights. The tour was very well organized. Hamid, the tour organizer was responsive and thorough to all my questions as I planned the entire trip via email. Our driver Ibrahim spoke English well and was easy to travel with. The guides in Fez and Marrakech were excellent. Spoke English well and knew the history of each city very well. Our guide, Amal, in Fez, took us to a bakery and mint tea shop where we were offered samples and given fresh tea. That was such a personal touch and a highlight for me. Great trip and highly recommend it.

What an awesome trip - from the excellent pre trip communication with Hamid including the professional digital links, to our fantastic driver Youssef, and then to the amazing places we visited across our 9-day adventure. We travelled as a group of 6 - which worked perfectly with Youssef always available and willing to help us with anything and everything along the way - always checking in to make sure we were safe!! Highlights were the camel trek from the Sahara camp, Marrakesh and the beautiful Riads we stayed at - but seriously it was all a highlight. Would highly recommend MSDT to anyone planning a trip to Morocco!

My family (me, my husband and my 17-year-old daughter) went on this tour at the end of February, 2023. It was fabulous! At first we weren't positive it was a trustworthy company, as some of the reviews on other websites didn't seem real. I expressed this concern to Hamid, the owner, and he did exactly the right things to make me feel comfortable. Our family enjoys flexibility when we travel and this was exactly the right way for us to see Morocco! A lot of people in restaurants and hotels speak English, but it was so helpful to have Youssef, our driver, there to help us with the Moroccan Arabic on occasion. The itinerary was exactly what we wanted to see. I did a lot of research comparing this to her to other tours and while there is a lot of driving, seeing Chefchaouen and sleeping in the Sahara were absolutely worth it. The large van we had was spacious and comfortable and routinely cleaned by our wonderful driver, Youssef The accommodations were routinely good though in Chefchaouen and Marrakech they were a little further away from the main sightseeing area than ideal. The food was great, the landscape unexpected and dramatic, the people friendly and the entire trip very safe. We have self-driven on many tours, but we were very glad we had Youssef, especially in the mountains and Marrakech. I can't read this company or tore highly enough! You should use them for an exceptional Moroccan experience!

Morocco is not close to Asia - you would usually need to take 7-8 hours' flight to Dubai, and then another 7-8 hours from Dubai to Casablanca or Marrakesh. Yet you find many Asian travellers who have been to, who are on their way to, or who are talking about Morocco. And Morocco Sahara Desert Travel made sure that we had a taste of all that this mysterious country could offer: ocean waterfront, old castles, mountain forests, desert camps and crowded markets. Hamid is the company owner and our contact before the trip - he is always responsive, patient and super helpful to address all our questions to help us with a tailor-made itinerary. Mostapha was our driver and guide for the entire tour around the country. He also replies to our messages within minutes and picks up our calls within the first two rings. Our daily routine starts with Mostapha greeting us at the riad lobby (15 min before the agreed meet-up time), giving us a briefing about what our destinations are and what would be the highlights for the day, and hitting the road. Riding with Mostapha is never boring - he would give us history or geography talks from time to time depending on where we get to, talk about stories of Moroccan people, and of course play local music all day long! He also brings gifts to my children who are too young to join this trip! Mostapha is simply THE best guide that I have ever toured with. Hamid was an absolute pleasure from the start to the end. His itinerary for us was so thought out and allowed us to see almost every part of Morocco without feeling rushed. He always responds on time and makes sure that you feel safe when traveling. Truly his goal is to assure that you have the absolute best time. His services took away all the stress of planning a trip with every detail planned out carefully and intentionally. We cannot thank him enough for this amazing experience that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Mostapha was our driver and we could not have asked for a better person to be with us for the entire trip. I went on this trip with my best friend and being two women in a foreign country can be worrisome, but he made us feel safe and made sure that we were able to experience as much of Morocco as possible. Each pit stop was thought out. We stopped to see how roses were picked and used to make organic products, stopped to see monkeys, saw the "Switzerland" of Morocco and so many more thoughtful stops along our journey. He was able to answer all and any questions we had. He gave the best recommendations in terms of places to explore and places to eat. The car rides were such a blast and made the long drives feel so short. He truly made this experience more amazing than we could've ever thought possible. We came in as guests and left with a life long friend. We cannot wait to go back!

My best friend and I decided to do this 9 day 8 night trip to Morocco after reading the great reviews, and this trip did not disappoint. It has been the best trip ever, and will certainly be hard to beat. Everything about our experience was incredible. We were greeted at the airport by our driver, and he accompanied us the entire trip driving us to the different cities and always made sure we were safe. If you can, you should request Mostapha…he is the absolute best and this trip would not have been the same without him! He was super thoughtful and really added to the whole experience. His knowledge and love for Morocco is unmatched annd we now have a friend in Morocco for life. All of our accommodations were well curated by Hamid and in a good location that allowed for easy access to major sites. We were in awe of all the different landscapes and cities we saw, and we truly would not have changed a single thing about the itinerary. We got the opportunity to meet with Hamid at the end of the trip, you can really tell he wants you to have the best experience! He checked in to see what we really enjoyed and any changes we would make. Overall, 11/10 experience!

I am 81 years old and have just had one of the best travel weeks of my life. I toured with three women friends and we had a spectacular time. Youssef was our guide and driver and he was an excellent driver on roads and with traffic I wouldnt have wanted to tackle. He is a smart, kind, generous and gracious host. He made sure we were safe and delivered us to our lovely accommodations, picked us up on time, stopped at highights along the way and told us so much about his country, its history, customs, and traditions. Our city guides were wonderful and were also knowledgeable, kind and generous. I hope to return and I will encourage my friends to explore Morocco. It is a country of exceptional topography, fascinating history and beautiful kind people.

I was promised an itinerary and someone to pick me up at the airport though received neither. Upon arrival I spent 2.5 hours waiting alone for the driver, without the name of the first night hotel (to be able to take a taxi directly), and no local contact number to call Morocco Sahara Desert. Later, I found out that Hamid had told the driver to pick up and deliver the couple on the trip and that I "could wait". It was a scary, and potentially dangerous, experience to be a Western female waiting alone in a Muslim country. The driver, Imad, was excellent and made up for the other less favorable aspects of the trip. Morocco was beautiful and the itinerary allowed me to see much of it. I saw and learned a lot. Upon arrival home, I was offered a 1000 euro refund to NOT write this honest review and rather, simply rate the experience a 5. I understand now why this company and their trips are so highly rated.

This was an incredible tour. Morocco’s food people and scenery is all amazing. I highly recommend anyone that’s thinking of booking in should! It was a special highlight to see the sunrise and sunset in the Sahara desert. Morocco Sahara Desert Travel was great at organising all transport and accommodation. There were a few hiccups with accommodation along the way but these were quickly sorted out by Hamid and his team. Our driver Zack was absolutely fantastic. He was great at introducing us to the Moroccan food and culture! He was also able to navigate the tricky Moroccan traffic! I recommend requesting Zack as a guide as he was knowledgeable and took great care to make sure we had altered the trip itinerary to suit what we wanted to see. I am truly grateful for all that Zack did and I feel like I have made a true Moroccan friend for life. One piece of advice for prospective travelers. I would book at least 11 nights as it’s a fairly action packed trip and it might be nice to take it a bit slower and take in the towns/cities more!

My best-friend and I had such an amazing time on our Morocco Tour. From our very first contact with Hamid through the end was fantastic. We had flown in and out of Casablanca and from the moment we were met by Guide/Driver Ali, it was memorable from then on. Ali started out as a complete stranger and after our trip, we considered him a friend. With being with him from beginning to end and having spent a lot of time in the car from going from one destination to another, you really get to know the people you are with and we LAUGHED so much the entire time! The destinations and tours Hamid had planned for us were all amazing and I am glad we had visited the sites we had visited as we were able to really get a good taste of who and what Morocco is which is what we really wanted to experience. We are all about wanting to experience things like locals do but of course doing some "touristy" stuff and I feel we were able to get a mix of both. Ali was phenomenal in making sure we were always comfortable and always ensuring we were getting the experience we were looking for from having local fare and eating at, for the most part, non-touristy spots. He was very accommodating and we really got lucky having him for our tour. We are firm believers that when you travel, sometimes it less about the places or sites you go to but the people you meet is what makes an experience and for sure, that is what Morocco provided for us. The accommodations Hamid had selected for us, especially the Riads in Fes and Marrakech were fantastic not only were they beautiful but the staff were superb. They treat you like family and made sure you were comfortable. I even learned a Moroccan Card Game from Mohamed in Marrakech which I will teach our friends. So fun! In a nutshell - an awesome experience all around!!!!!

I can't say enough good things about this trip. From day one till the end, our family of 5 wouldn't change a thing! Hamid was in constant contact with me the moment we booked the trip. He was able to customize the trip to allow our family a day at the beach. Aziz (our guide/driver) has a wealth of knowledge about his country and he was able to further tailor the trip to fit everyone's interests. Like adding a last minute stop at a dinosaur fossil museum. Everyone went above and beyond to make the trip special. I mentioned that I would love to learn how you cook lamb and the next day we had a cooking class for us set up with a local family! All of the hotels/riads we stayed in were wonderful and they treated us with the upmost hospitality. Our guide handled any and all needs that may arise, as well as, impromptu requests to ensure a fantastic experience. As the person who usually has to plan, coordinate, and manage the trip, having this guided tour allowed me to relax and enjoy the experience without stress. I fully recommend this experience!!

I can honestly say that the tour with Morocco Sahara Desert Travel was the best travel experience I have ever had. The dealings with the Tour Director Hamid for two years leading up to the trip were exceptional. During the uncertain times of Covid he was always there to respond to my questions. The driver Youssef was excellent. He was calm and caring. We felt totally comfortable at all times The accommodations were luxurious and they were no issues with checkins or room allocations. The staff at all the hotels provided excellent service. Morocco is a sensational country with varied geography from ocean to higher atlas mountains to old cities. I highly recommend MSDT.

We enjoyed every part of our tour. In each destination, be it Casablanca, Barat, Feze, chefchau, or Marrakech, there is always something enjoyable/memorable. Our driver/tour guide, Zachariah was also wonderful. He's professional, clean, calm and collected. I love his music selection too!!! Even on the occasions we missed our exist, he was able to get back on track without getting frustrated. Hats off to Zachariah! Definitely recommend this tour company!

Amazing except for our driver, Aziz Morocco is a beautiful country and we loved all the planned stops on the 9 day tour. The hotels, especially Hotel Mulino Gardens in Chefchaouen and Auberge Atlas Dades, were lovely, combining charm with modern amenities. Hamid did an excellent job picking the hotels and planning the tour. The reason for the low rating is our driver, Aziz, who unfortunately spoiled many of our hours in Morocco. He was continuously rude to us and bossy, making the many long drives during the tour unpleasant. We expected on a private tour to be given options based on our likes and dislikes, and also for our tour guide to make recommendations for good restaurants etc. Instead, we were given little information. When he did give us an option, it was communicated with no details or explanation of trade-offs (eg. “If we stop here, we will have less time at…”) and it felt as though he were telling us, rather than asking. At times it seemed his likes and dislikes, rather than ours, were motivating the tour. The tour includes many long drives, and so a nice driver communicating information in a pleasant manner is a must. We also would have liked to be given more historical information about the various cities and regions we were driving through. Most other tours we have been on included much more historical details and stories. We would have asked for more, but we did not want to engage in more conversation with Aziz and experience his condescension. If we asked a question or made a remark, the response was often “as I told you,” when usually he had not in fact already shared the information. He treated us like schoolchildren who don’t know anything and can’t do simple things like walking around Casablanca. For instance, we stopped at a movie studio in Ourzazate and were told we had 30 minutes. However, going inside we discovered the only way to see the studio was through a tour, which lasted one hour. When we returned to the car, Aziz very curtly informed us that we had taken, 1.5 hrs. In contrast to Aziz, our local guide in Fez, and Marrakesh, our camel guide, and the hotel managers, especially in Chefchaouen and Dades valley, were a pleasure to spend time with and showed us true Moroccan hospitality. They went the extra mile to give us local knowledge and discover things we could not have found on our own. They also made it clear that the schedule and timings depended on our wishes, completely different from Aziz. We recommend this tour but make sure your driver is not Aziz.

My wife and I took the tour and just came back. The whole tour was amazing for us: the big and splendid mosque in Casablanca, blue city on the hill, lively Fes and Marrakech filled with history, culture and shopping in the Medina, Argan trees and of course the Sahara desert in Merzouga, plus many other places and the landscapes and the local people along the driveways. What we enjoyed the same if not more was the hospitality of the Moroccan people we interacted with and the excellent service the travel agency provided. Hamid interacted with us through WhatsApp prior to the trip to answer everyone question we had and came to a local restaurant to meet us in person In Marrakech. The driver, Youssef, was super friendly the whole way and very flexible and attentive with our requests. We made good friendship during the whole trip. They both showed the professional side to make our trip as easy and comfortable as can be and also the human side to make us feel so welcome while in Morocco. The program was well organized with tour guides and free time appropriately mixed on the agenda. We highly recommend the program as a way to take the stress of planning out and let you focus on enjoying the beautiful sceneries, people, history, culture, cuisines and also the fun of bargaining in the Medina! Enjoy Morocco!

Exploring the country and culture of Morocco was truly amazing especially experiencing the Berber culture. Our guide, Oulid, was wonderful and knowledgeable and took very good care of us. We saw amazing landscapes from mountains to desert and riding on a dromedary and spending a night in the desert was very special. I would absolutely recommend this trip wholeheartedly.

First, Morocco was a mind-expanding experience. We are from the USA and before our visit, our collective knowledge was the black and white movie Casablanca. Our tour around Morocco was just remarkable! From the cities, the landscapes, the desert, and the food! The camel ride and overnight stay in a desert camp were once in a life experiences, but by far the most remarkable day for me was the Madina in Fez. The experience was almost overwhelming! It was like stepping back 1000 years. It was just remarkable! The tour specifically, we have to thank Morocco Sahara Desert Travel for their flexibility. The border from Ceuta to Morocco was closed delaying our start by 2 days. They flexed their schedule with the restriction. Our driver, Karim was a positive and entertaining guide! He was helpful and flexible with a great personality! The overnight stays were all very comfortable with air-conditioning (except the desert). The Riad in Fez was hidden behind the ancient walls and narrow walkways - but opened up into some of the most impressive architecture! Anyway, too much to share. Two things I would change if I did it again. First, fly into Casablanca (we brought our car by ferry) and second, the amount of distance covered would be better experienced with 2 or 3 more days added. Strongly recommend!

I have just returned home from a once in a life time trip with Morocco Sahara Desert Travel all across Morocco. As a female Canadian solo traveller, I wanted to make sure I felt safe, that things were organized for me, but that I had the flexibility to change/ask for what I wanted along the way. My driver & I had a wonderful time laughing, exploring, sharing stories & he took me off the beaten path to some secret, quieter stops - moving away from the common tourist places allowed for a calmer & more local experience. I felt well taken care of, really truly cared for, and 100% safe every moment of the trip. The accommodations were better than photos can do them justice. The hospitality I experienced with Rabia (and Hamid) is a reflection of the hospitality I received through every town we visited. I think I’m more sad to leave my driver Rabia than the country of Morocco itself. It was really grateful that I chose this agency, as I know it truly impacted my experience in Morocco. You’re lucky if you take a leap of faith & choose this company. They will not disappoint. You will leave with memories that last a life time - I don’t think you’ll find a better option anywhere!

We had an amazing trip through Morocco organized by Hamid! I truly can’t imagine a more organized, responsive, or trustworthy company to work with. Our guide Rabia was wonderful and fun, he made the trip exactly what we wanted it to be - for us that meant avoiding the super touristy places, stopping for photos, and connecting with the Moroccan people and culture. As two female travellers we felt safe, so we’ll taken care of, and the accommodations exceeded expectations at every stop.
