Great experience. We were a group of 5 40 something men, and it was a great mix of leisure and movement. Saw some cool parts of town, had a great bagel and a great beer. Rufus was amazing, a great wealth of information beyond touristy stuff. Highly recommend!!!

The coolest experience I had in Montreal. I got to see local neighborhoods and people and learn all about the culture and history of the city. Jeff was a top tier guide. He is local to the neighborhood and provided so much helpful information. Bagel stop was super cool. I was a little worried because I’ve only ridden a bike a handful of times since childhood. But the bike ride was super easy and Montreal is the most bikeable city in Nlrth America.

If you want to see and taste Montreal and learn about this wonderful city book a tour w Fitz Montreal on your first day here. We brought our 4 adult kids and their partners for a long weekend away and went on an afternoon tour led by Jeff. He was amazing, funny and caring. One member of our family had to bail early on due to not feeling well and our guide stepped up to make sure she was returned safe. Jeff gave us the history that help congeal our understanding of how Montreal food scene came together. Jeff pointed out hot spots to dine at and told us why they were great. Jeff is a total foodie and our family w restaurant work flowing through our veins set the stage for a fantastic weekend. My wife and I first did a Fitz Montreal trip 6 years ago and have been wanting to take our family back to Montreal. We are so glad we returned to Montreal and Had Jeff as our guide.

The guide - Martin - was excellent. If I was just reviewing him this would be 5+ stars. He was wonderful - personal, professional, knowledgeable, and very able to safely navigate our group while on bikes. He had a lot of tidbits to offer about the neighborhoods, the history of Montreal and the various areas, the way things are changing, etc. This was not a dry history tour. I am not a biker. I probably hadn’t been on a bike in 7-8 years before this tour. If you’re even reasonably fit, this tour is doable. I had walked 5.5 miles before the tour, and didn’t have any issues. The bikes are nice, but the seats are not very soft for a 3 hour tour. My only issue was with the booking. I booked an available tour for a Friday, and paid the Friday price. I got a text message asking me to reschedule (because I was the only person booked for that day/time), which I didn’t want to do but had no option. I rescheduled for Sunday due to already having other things booked - which would have been a lower price had I booked for Sunday - but no one mentioned this until I found out during the tour, at which time it didn’t seem appropriate to mention to the guide since he didn’t have anything to do with scheduling. I also wanted to do the tour earlier in my trip to have a better idea of where to go. Doing the tour less than 24 hours before I left to fly home wasn’t ideal since I couldn’t go back to stop at any of the places we saw and flying home with bicycle seat soreness wasn’t great.

This was a perfect bike ride to introduce us to a number of downtown Montreal neighbourhoods. Anne-Marie was a great guide, friendly, knowledgeable and took care to make sure we were safe on the roads. Really easy ride to discover some cool spots in the city. We really enjoyed the afternoon on the bike with your tour. Thanks so much!

Fantastic ride through less touristy parts of Montreal. Our guide, Julie, was lovely. The terrain was mostly neighborhoods with a smaller portion on city streets, but with the dedicated bike lanes it always felt safe. Julie showed us several murals, Mont Royal Park and the bustling Jean Talon market. She also got us delicious, warm bagels from St. Viateur.

This was such a great way to get to know the neighborhoods surrounding downtown Montreal and get a sense for how locals live. The bagels and stop at the Jean-Talon market were definite highlights. Very knowledgeable and passionate guide who gave us plenty of time for pictures and was able to answer questions. Plus, it's about 9 miles of biking, which means you get a workout in!

Our guide Eduardo was very enthusiastic with an infectious smile, and well informed about the areas we visited. He was also safety conscious and made sure everyone was comfortable riding in the bike lanes and with traffic. My husband and I are happy that we took this tour as we would never have discovered the ‘hidden gems and neighborhoods’ on our own. We highly recommend this tour and this guide!!

I highly recommend this tour. You do not need to be super-fit and it gives you an insight into some of the neighbourhoods of Montréal. Our guide Eduardo was really nice and explained to us many aspects of the history and society of Montreal. We stopped at a bagel shop (warm bagel was included in the tour cost) and the Jean Talon Markets and several other places of interest.

Frederick was great and an awesome tour guide. The 3 hours flew by and we felt we covered so much of the Plateau & Mile End. It was a great way to see a part of the city that wasn't Old Montreal. Highly recommend.

This tour gave us a view of Montreal that was off of the beaten path. Ann Marie provided us with insights at every stop and we saw some truly hidden gems. The route was mostly away from traffic and was easy to negotiate the intersections. The pace was easy and not too slow so we could enjoy and observe all of our surroundings. Ann Marie also provided us with brewery recommendations for after the ride which were greatly appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed.

Thoroughly enjoyed our bike tour, experiencing the culture and food of Montreal’s neighbourhoods. Our guide, Jeff was very personable , knowledgeable and funny. The mid-ride stop at St Viature bagel shop was delicious! All in all, a wonderful way to see Montreal. I would highly recommend this.

The tour was amazing and could not have asked for a better guide! Darren was knowledgeable about the history of Montréal and allowed for breaks so we could appreciate the area. The Montréal Bagels were delicious. Definitely need to come back!

This was a solid bike tour that hit a number of Montreal's parks, neighborhood hubs, and known dining destinations. The bikes were well maintained, and our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. That said, given this is called "hidden gems" and the emphasis Fitz's website places on laneways/ruelles vertes, this felt rather on the beaten path. We in fact were not going to hit ANY ruelles vertes until I asked about it and was told that construction had impacted the route, so that's why we hadn't done any. We spent lots of time on busy bike thoroughfares, having to watch out for faster cyclists. I had specifically booked this tour because I love biking and had read about the unique culture and beauty of the ruelles vertes and hoped that this tour would hit a few greatest hits amongst its many stops, saving me from having to seek them out on my own. In my home city, I actually do a number of bike rides that utilize alleyways akin to Montreal's. I understand the alleys are just that--alleyways--and was certainly not expecting them to figure prominently in the tour, but considering Fitz's own website, the fact that google turns up RV greatest hits, and the sheer amount of them in the city regardless of construction, I was very surprised to hear that we were planning on skipping them entirely with no advance heads up. Perhaps sensing the disappointment, our guide said they'd try to find some, and a few twists and turns were tacked on in the last 10 minutes. As we concluded our tour, they told the other attendees, "We just did this because I guess it's mentioned in the description of the tour," rather than explaining anything about the ruelles vertes, which seemed odd--but the other attendees chimed in they'd been expecting to do them as well given the description. Confusingly, it seemed like we were supposed to go to Little Italy before wrapping as the guide referenced it multiple times as our next stop...but I don't think we did. I don't know if I somehow derailed it by asking about the RV, and visiting some RV was done in place of going to Little Italy.
