Fantastic team at Princess Monterey whale Watching who do everything they can to ensure you have a fun and safe trip. Of course they will never guarantee sightings or activity, but they are so informative throughout the trip you are learning as you go regardless. We were lucky to see dolphins and whales on our trip which was incredible!! Tips. No matter how warm take a waterproof jacket and layers as the wind cuts across the boat and you WILL feel it!! If you are not a good traveller then get some sea clams to ease you especially if it's choppy. Other than that, listen, look and enjoy it .

The crew was amazing and got up close to the whales. What a great experience. The naturalist was great at explaining the whales and predicting their movements.

The crew are friendly and knowledgeable. It's kinda like cat and mouse. We would power along til we saw whales. Then watch them and then power along to the next pods. Awesome experience!!

Everything was worth seeing! The captain ,guide and crew made sure we got the best view of the whales. We saw 6 whales and 2 dolphins. Definitely worth the price.

Had a great time on the 3 hr round trip on monterey bay to watch humpback whales. Saw quite a few whales on the trip ( double-digits, lost count after some time) and few dolphins and seals on the trip. The crew was very professional and friendly. Although the boat rocks quite a bit, I managed not to get seasick. I did see 2-3 others get seasick, so beware and take some precautions. Overall, the experience was great and I would recommend trying this out.

We went to the tour the second time and it was amazing. Princess Monterey folks leave no stone unturned to try spot whales and dolphins. We were able to see hundreds of dolphins, 8 orcas and 2 hump back whales in the first tour and 2 hump back whales in the second tour, we were more than happy to be able to see

the crew was awsome and they were extremely helpful answering questions the captain was great he manuered the boat so everyone could see the whale and it was a awsome time

Great experience! We were surprised by how much sea life we saw! Whales, dolphins, sea lions, birds! Dress warmly! We were a bit chilly with the winds.

This was a great trip. The whales were not really showing out for us but it was still amazing. The weather was very cold (early May) but the crew was very accommodating. We saw humpback whales, sea lions, seals, and otters

Excellent staff and very well run. Perfect experience on a very nice weather day. The upper deck upgrade was well worth it! Many thanks. We saw about 12 whales, many types of Seals and Sea Lions and 2 species of Dolphin.

This was an amazing opportunity to experience the great wonders of God’s creation. The captain aggressively went after the spouts and we saw humpback whales and common dolphins. The crew was knowledgeable and the onboard naturalist shared amazing facts about the creatures that we were seeing. We had the best time!

When they tell you it is going to be choppy really listen to them. Half the passengers on board were getting sick off the back of the boat. Couldn’t wait for the trip to end. Did see some whales so that was cool.

First 55 minutes nothing to see. After that time suddenly we saw four wales. And unexpected right next to our boat. It was impressive. And for so many times we where hardly even paying attention… a tip to stay focused on the ocean. About the princess, we where on the 9am boat. It was not so busy. Had a different (smaller, still large enough) boat. They ask everyone if you want to upgrade. 50% did. We didn’t and had the best view (I think) at the front of the boat. About the lady who was the guide. We could hear here at the front. That was a pitty.

We saw quite a few whales, maybe 5-6 different whales, with some very close encounters to the boat. The crew was nice and friendly, the only thing I didn’t like and didn’t find out until I got on the boat was that there was an up charge of $20 of you wanted access to the top deck of the boat. This felt very tacky and nothing I’ve ever seen on other boats.

We saw 7 humpback whales and sea lions. The lady commentator was knowledgeable and entertaining. All the staff were polite and helpful. We enjoyed the trip very much

seeing all the whales, and a beautiful sea otter swimming in the middle of the ocean. Due to the fact that a lot of whales were around us it made me feel sea sick but the experience was worthed.

The captain and crew were friendly and knowledgeable. They took us to a great location where a pod of Humpbacks were feeding. There were at least 5 whales with dozens of sea lions and scores of sea birds of many varieties feeding as well. The captain kept moving the boat so everyone could get a clear view. We stayed with the pod for about an hour. The best part was on the return journey, A humpback was spotted about a mile away breaching. Even though our tour was over, the captain turned the boat and went after them. We were able to get close. It was a mother and her calf. The mother breached close to boat. We then returned to the dock. I have been on other whale watching tours and this is the best one.

Excellent. We've never seen so many whales, dolphins and sea lions. The captain knew exactly where they had been seen and took us there. Then explored until he found more. Crew was friendly and attentive. Naturalust onboard gave us tons of information. We had an exciting day.
