Monserrate is one of the best points of Bogota and doing it with our guide Nati was great as she explained us the history, details of points of interest, and made the whole visit a great experience. Keep in mind you can stay at the top of Monserrate once the tour ends and come down when you decide (the guide will provide you your ticket that is valid for any time in the same day), so you can stay enjoy the view and also have lunch/coffee before getting down to the city.

The tour was great! Our guide was knowledgeable. You can easily just take the Funicular up to the top of the mountain yourself too though.

Montserrate is clearly iconic, and must see when you visit Bogota. Even if you aren't religious, you can't miss the amazing views of the city from the top of the hill. I found that it was really time saving to get the tour, since the guide already has the tickets and saves time. Also, the tour is full of interesting facts about the side and the city. I definitely recommend this tour.

Cable car ride was wonderful. Nataly’s explanation of the history of Bogotá and its geography was very informative.

Francisco was an amazing guide! He was very knowledgeable and effortlessly switched between Spanish and English. There was no way I could have learned this much about the Monserrate going by myself. Definitely recommend this tour for the ease of experience and added bonus of knowledge of the area!

A must do if visiting Bogota, Francisco was our guide and did a great job translating between English and Spanish for the group. The views are amazing and outside of the chaos at the entrance (and exit) to the location, the experience was worth it with a tour guide. I can't imagine (as an English speaking foreigner) doing the trip the first time without a guide. The other benefit is the amount of knowledge shared with our group about the history of the area. Would highly recommend the tour. Downside, and not of tour... make sure you understand this is 10,000 feet above sea level. As someone who lives at 10 feet above sea level, there were times it was a struggle. Be in shape, don't underestimate the altitude and lack of O2, and push lightly so you can enjoy the views.

Nataly was a fantastic guide! We took the furnicular up (so don't expect a ton of walking besides at the top). She was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions in Spanish (and English). I learned a lot and enjoyed the view. Nataly went above and beyond to make sure we got to our next location as well.

I booked this trip as a solo traveller with a few days in Bogotá. It was easy to find the guide at the meeting point and they shared tickets to get up to Monserrate. The tour itself was a great way to see the site - our guide was cheerful and enthusiastic, sharing some great knowledge in both Spanish and English to ensure the entire group could follow. I got so much more out of my trip to Monserrate on this tour than I would have done by myself. He was also happy to answer questions relating to the tour and wider queries on Bogotá and other things to do, providing some great insights and points of contact. I’d definitely recommend this tour!

We had a great tour with Luis. The other family with us spoke Spanish, and Luis was able to translate back and forth. He was knowledgeable and funny. We learned so much about Monserrate as well as the history of Bogota. After the tour was over, Luis kindly walked my son and I back to La Candelaria so we could go to the gold museum. Highly recommend this tour!

Really glad we booked this tour and feel we got more out of the experience than if we had gone on our own. Our very charming guide Jose got us through the line quickly and was fully bi-lingual (Spanish/English), so we were able to learn a lot. Would definitely recommend this tour, especially if, like us, your Spanish is not on point :-)

This tour was very enjoyable with our excellent guide, Christian. He was inclusive with everyone and he had great knowledge of the history of the Monserate and Colombian history. I recommend this tour for anyone who is interest i. A little bit of history with some spectacular views of Bogota.

This seemed a little chaotic at the start, some of us had tickets and some of us didn't. I'm not sure what that was about.. The guide was really good (I'm so sorry I cant recall his name...) entertaining and with lots of interesting info. The funicular ride was impressive and the views from the top were good. You can do this without a guide but I am glad I did it with one. Recommended

Gerald gave us really interesting stories about the mountain and also the city of Bogota. He was always concerned that we were okay due to the high altitude, and made us aware of everything that we saw around us. He just didn’t spew out facts- he actually made it fun and entertaining. Highly recommend
