It was an incredible experience, we had monkeys on our head, arms, and shoulders with their soft little hands. There was also a tasting of mama Juana, hot chocolate, and coffee which was really good.

My favorite excursion on our 6 port cruise, cannot wait to return to the DR because of how well we were treated on this excursion. Our tour guide Mitiel was so welcoming and made us feel like family. Super informative and just so much fun. On top of the amazing service the monkeys were adorable and we had a perfect amount of time with them. The rest of the tour was so much fun as well my 8 year old wasn't bored at all. Highly recommend! Pictures prices were also reasonable and their process was quick and efficient. If you are debating definitely do it! Thanks for the amazing memories Monkeyland!

Our tour guide Floricel and driver Fredy were the absolute best. Prompt pick, professional, knowledgable, spoke 3 languages and translated throughout the entire tour. You can see the pride as they spoke about the country's natural resources. They were happy and smiling the entire time. If you haven't booked this excursion, I highly recommend them.

What a fun experience!! Highly recommend if you like animals. The monkeys are so surprising soft and gentle. Excellent for kids of all ages and big kids like us too! If you're coming to Puerto Plata then for sure don't miss this experience!!

Flowers and Santos provided a great tour full of fun and educational information. We loved Monkeyland and the Buggie trip we went on.

Junior from the Puerto Plata location made our day! We were so nervous first time coming to DR from carnival cruise line. He was so kind and sweet and very helpful. We are going to book again and hopefully we have Junior again.

Such a great expereice and highly recommend it.Our guide Flower was amazing and so funny. Huge props for the driver Juan too. The drive going for pick up and drops offs can be long but take the opportunity to take in the views of the country side.

Definitely an enjoyable and recommended experience. Wish we could have spent some more time with the monkeys, as they were the highlight.

Tour guide was great (oralbi). very new clean bus for transport, which was much better than the open air truck we were expecting. Would have been nice to be able to walk around in the monkey enclosure for a bit. Was more of a “sit down and we bring the monkeys to you “.

This was an excellent experience. The monkeys are lovely and the guides ensured everyone had chance for the monkeys to interact with them.

A memorable experience with the adorable squirrel monkeys. We had a lot of fun feeding and interacting with the animals and the guides were excellent too. Recommended.

This place is amazing!! Would definitely do it again. Be aware these are real animals and they are unpredictable. They will jump on you and climb on you so if you are not comfortable with that then don't do it. We booked this thru a cruise so the group was large. The host guided the monkeys around the group and made sure everyone had a chance to interact with them. It was a great experience.

If I could give a zero star I would. We booked this excursion in the hopes to interact with monkeys. Instead we spent 4 hours in the city while they pushed us to buy crap in a store then went to monkey land where they then pushed us to buy coffee booze and chocolate. Then our guide said we were running late and would only get a few minutes to “see” the monkeys. I spent a lot of money on that excursion through carnival. On top of that we were brought back to our ship at 2:30. TWO AND A HALF HOURS LATE! kids were hungry and exhausted. They were unapologetic and frankly rude.

Good attraction but more time alone with the monkeys will be good. The guide was running with the food

The most special experience! On top of everything mentioned, when we booked the tour… we also got to sample hot chocolate, hold a parrot and get pictures & video with them. Coffee and hot cocoa was so good, been craving them since we last visited two years ago. We got to spend a substantial amount of time in the monkey cage getting plenty of photos and plenty of videos! Not rushed at all, everyone on site was so kind and happy. We had the best time!!! Santunino and Robert took great care of us, there were so kind! Everyone seemed like family there.

Best excursion!! Floricel, our tour guide and Juan Carlos our driver, were very informative about the culture on the drive to Monkeyland. They were very attentive to everyone on the air conditioned bus and went as far as getting a wheelchair for one of the tourist so they could enjoy the monkey's. They gave us a tour of the house the founder of Monkeyland quarantined himself in, made us coffee, chocolate, and a lesson in mamajuana. I highly recommend Runners Adventure!

We went to Monkeyland as a paid excursion from our NCL cruise. The monkeys were adorable and we thoroughly enjoyed the coffee tasting & lesson afterward - which is the only reason this review has two stars instead of just one. HOWEVER. We had four teen girls with our group, each had their mother sitting right by their side. The trainer was purposely tossing sunflower seeds down their shirts. At first I thought it was accidental but I watched as he went round the crowd and he was purposely aiming every time he reached a young girl. This man was easily in his 30s. My daughter quickly caught on that he was doing it on purpose and also whispered to me that he was leering at her and making her uncomfortable. When he got back to our group, I loudly told him to stop throwing sunflower seeds down their shirts as they didn’t like it. He stared right at me, did it again, and smirked. The girls had to resort to pressing one hand across the top of their shirts every time he circled back to our group. If you’re going to run a tourist attraction, you should be sure not to hire pedophiles.

The monkeys were everywhere! The photographers did an amazing job capturing them climbing all over the guests.

We had a great time! So much fun to spend around 45 minutes with these spider monkeys. Trainer gave us some information about these little guys & it was quite the experience having them so close!

As part of our cruise, we booked this excursion to monkey land and a tour of Puerto Plata. We we were met at the ship by Jose our guide and Demetrio Our driver. They took us on a half day adventure that was fun, interesting and educational. Jose was a great guide, giving us lots of information about the Dominican republic, its culture in life there Demetrio navigated us Safely through the traffic of the DR. At monkey land, Mario, a.k.a. super Mario was an awesome guide, Getting the monkeys to play with us while he educated us on them. There were plenty of photo opportunities we took, along with the professional photos taken by the monkey land photographer. Of course, at the end of the experience, you may purchase the photos as a package at a reasonable price . The rest of the tour consisted of seeing coffee made, hot chocolate made, Mamajuana, and a typical DR home. Once we left monkey land, we were off to tour Puerto Plata, including the central Park, the umbrella Street, the cathedral, and the fort, Jose and Demetrio made sure we were safe the whole time, and also guided us along the way. We ate local barbecue , Which was delicious, on the umbrella street. This tour includes plenty of walking over rough streets, so wear comfortable shoes and sunscreen and sunglasses. It was well worth what we paid and they got us back to the ship in plenty time .I would recommend this For those who don’t want to do something super adventurous, like zip lining or the waterfalls.
