The hummingbird farm was great with the birds iridescent colours hard to catch. Although the bus was new the seats were hard. It was hard to hear the guide up the back.

We had a wonderful day. Eduardo was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. He made sure we got to see everything we wanted despite the delays due to traffic. We would definitely recommend this day trip to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in Pachamama just a short drive out of central Quito.

This is an incredible tour and an absolute must-go. Our guide Eduardo was knowledgable about the local culture and a great conversationalist on various topics and trivia. The hour-long hike through the forest to the waterfalls is well worth it with beautiful natural scenery. We also had so much fun tubing down the river and got to feed some hummingbirds. Lunch was at Mishqui Quinde (Sweet Hummingbird) and the vegan ceviche here has been one my favorite dishes in Ecuador. 10/10 recommend.

Eduardo was a safe driver and great guide. He paced our experience for us to meet our needs. The butterfly sanctuary was so great! If you go there, use slow mo on your phone to take some videos of them flying. I didn’t know this at the time. We also enjoyed the hike down to the waterfalls and the chocolate factory.

The trip itself was great, the driver and guide were both professional and extremely informative. However, check that there’s not going to be any festivities that day… Our trip was very slow due to the weekend traffic of a fiesta and as a result we were rushed through lunch which was at 4.30! And our chocolate tasting I believe was much shorter than scheduled. We then arrived back in Quito 2.5 hours late. I want to reiterate our guide was brilliant and it was out of her and the drivers hands to avoid ridiculous traffic jams. Why didn’t Quito Tour Bus make alternative plans, this must have happened plenty of times.

Eduardo was a great guide and made our journey much more enjoyable. We had a fun and educational time in the rainforest. The hummingbird sanctuary was the highlight of the trip as well as learning the traditional method of making chocolate!

The 2.5K hike to visit the 3 Waterfalls. It was a much more challenging hike than I anticipate and I would suggest including the difficulty of the hike on the tour description. The chocolate factory was fun and the tour guide was informative and knowledgeable

Eduardo was amazing from start to finish. First, he was extra patient with us the morning of the tour because we have a toddler and were running around 20 minutes behind. He waited for us outside the hotel while we hurriedly got into the truck. Thankfully the tour ended up being private (no others joined us), so we didn't inconvenience any other paying customers by being late. Eduardo was talkative and friendly and told us a lot about all the things we were driving by, and the conversation was friendly and casual. His English is great. To be honest, I am not generally a lover of guided tours like my husband is (I sometimes feel that they're too rigid or that the tour guides themselves sound sales pitch-y) but Eduardo was perfect in every way. His flexibility with us as a family made the day really great for us as parents of a 2-year-old. Every activity was really fantastic. I was blown away by the chance to feed hummingbirds since it's my favorite animal. The hike was great but - for understandable reasons - just slightly more rushed than I would have liked. It's a good thing we are experienced hikers who are in fair shape, because Eduardo is very fast and we did not take any breaks on the way down or up. However, I don't have any doubt that he would have been ok with us if we needed to stop and rest. Our favorite portion of tour was the chocolate experience. We had to choose between that and the butterflies due to time constraints and I am so glad we chose the chocolate! It's definitely something we will remember forever. It didn't feel touristy at all and we were not pressured at all to buy anything whatsoever. We've traveled to dozens of countries and know what it's like to be pressured in tourist places, but this was so relaxed and casual. 100% recommend. Eduardo also allowed time for us to leisurely walk around the town and shop and grab coffee. He waited in the truck for us and didn't rush us even though we technically went over time a little by the end of the day (by around an hour or so). In summary, you will love this tour and Eduardo as well.

What a fantastic day!!! Eduardo came highly recommended and his service did not disappoint, absolutely first class. A lovely person, whose knowledge of nature, the area, wildlife is second to none. I had the most fantastic day touring into mindo, the cloud forest, the hummingbird farm, the chocolate factory and so much more. But what made it so special was Eduardo, a very kind and genuine person that couldn’t do enough. Thank you so much for a fantastic trip my amino. If you need a tour in Ecuador I highly recommend you use Eduardo.

Carolina was a wonderful guide. We were able to hike to a waterfall, visit the hummingbird sanctuary and a chocolate maker, have lunch in Mindo, and even stop to buy quinoa before returning to Quito at 5pm.

It was the last day of our 2 week stay in Ecuador. We wanted a relaxing day before heading to the airport for a midnight flight. It was fantastic to experience feeding hummingbirds and butterflies on our hands! We tried one more hike to a nearby waterfall and it was so peaceful. The Teleferico ride gave me the last sweat. But to top it all, our tour guide, Eduardo, took us to a local resto with the best local food in town, yum!! It was the best way to end our stay in Ecuador. Thank you so much to this wonderful experience.

Our day started with a pickup at our hotel in Old town Quito. Our guide Marcoso let us decide which activities we wanted to participate in since we were the only participants in this tour. From there we went to a private nature preserve where we were able to get close up with finches and hummingbirds among others. Next we went to a butterfly sanctuary and were able to see and interact with thousands of butterflies. Then we went on a hike to see 3 waterfalls. After this we had lunch in Mindo and then returned to Quito. It is about a 2-3 hour drive each way from Quito to Mindo depending on traffic. Marcoso was wonderful during the entire tour, providing us with tons of information about Quito and Mindo and the surrrounding areas. I highly recommend him and this tour.

We had an incredible time visiting Mindo, I cannot recommend this tour enough! Our guide Marcelo was awesome!! He was very knowledgeable and so passionate about nature and his country which made him a joy to listen to. We appreciated that the trip was flexible so you could choose how you wanted to spend your day. Our favourite stop was the hummingbird sanctuary where we actually got to feed the birds and they flew all around our heads! We also went zip lining, visited 2 waterfalls and a chocolate factory where we tasted so much chocolate! Altogether a really amazing day.

Eduardo gave us a totally custom experience, and was so informative. We loved the tour and his guidance. I'd recommend any tours with Galapagos My World because it is well thought out from beginning to end. Plus, he clearly has a ton of insider connections in the tour locations, so everything went off without a hitch. We went to a hummingbird sanctuary -- it was small, but with tons of birds and we were able to feed them from our palms. We took the chairlifts up and then hiked down to the waterfalls. It is steep, and still at 5k feet, so wear good water/hiking shoes like Keens. We also did the 10-ziplines, which was really fun and it was so pretty to see the forest. (Either wear full socks or have mosquito spray for your ankles.) Finally, he took us to a lunch spot in Mindo that was spectacular -- a tiny "mom and pop" local restaurant. We were lucky enough to catch the guy who makes beer "floats"... like a rootbeer float, but with beer. It was lovely and most definitely different. It was a long drive to/from Quito, but the mountains were just gorgeous and it flew by. Definitely feel confident taking this tour with Galapagos My World.
