Absolutely fantastic tour. Prompt communication for pick up. Tour guide was awesome and let us know that the scenic ride back would be weather dependent. Unfortunately, we were not able to fly back but at least had the backup option of taking the bus back which wasn’t that bad. Great stops along the way to see other sights and stretch our legs. Highly recommend, and it is with the money to be in a small group. This is a fantastic, well organized tour company.

Engaging guide. Long drive but with frequent scenic stops. Spectacular landscapes. Loved the boat ride through Milford Sound.

Excellent all day tour. Our guide, Michelle was awesome. She grew up in the area and has lived here many years. The ride through the National park allowed for several photo stops, cafe/restroom breaks and interesting commentary by Michelle. The second part was an amazing cruise through Milford Sound by boat. Lunch was provided and they easily accommodated my gluten free needs. I had a delicious chicken salad wrap, chips, fruit, cookies and chocolate. The scenery was gorgeous. Next we were flown back to Queenstown in a small plane over beautiful snow capped mountains and lakes. 35 minutes back. I highly recommend flying back. We were back at our hotel by 4:30. Time to relax before dinner.

BEST DAY EVER. Kevin was just the most amazing tour guide. He even arranged snow and sunshine. Nothing was too much trouble. Great knowledge of area. Kept to schedule but took us to individualised amazing places. Plenty of time playing in the snow. Can't recommend this tour group and Kevin highly enough.

Going on site with the bus under the rain, starting the cruise under the rain and be able to see the weather changing in a few minutes... Just wonderful, magic moment! I was to another place and totally under the charme of the nature I was seing! Our guide was keeping confidence even until the start of the cruise and was saying that the weather could change in a few minutes! It was an incredible day with interesting information from the guide! I recommend!

Seeing Milford Sound this way was perfection. Many stops during the shuttle ride there with great commentary made for excellent viewing and learning. The cruise was amazing, and the flight back made for astounding views!!

Great tour with James! Although my flight was cancelled due to weather, the ride back was enjoyable with an excellent playlist. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone, especially other solo travellers.

Drive down with stops between and Tommy the driver was excellent. 100%Milford with the waterfall close up to the boat, followed by the best flight.

This was our first trip to New Zealand’s South Island. Several people told me ‘you have to see Milford Sound’. Although we had a rental car, I looked on the map and didn’t really want to drive hours, there and back on the same highway. I did some research and Altitude had packages that interested me for a few reasons. First, it was for a small group, in a Mercedes Sprinter Van. Our tour guide/driver Andy, was enthusiastic and started off by introducing himself and encouraged all of us to do the same. He was very informative and got us to Milford Sound safely, and on time. First class operation, providing wifi in the van the entire way to and from Milford Sound! Andy was very personable and instantly made us feel we were on the right adventure! We chose to order the optional lunch, which was very healthy (chicken sandwich on a fresh focaccia), fruit, chips, etc. There is no where to get food at the cruise terminal, so you’ve got to bring your own lunch with you, if you don’t order the optional lunch. Keeping in step as a smaller tour group, we were on a smaller cruise boat with Mitre Peak cruises. Excellent again, with self serve tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Lots of room to be inside in the warmth, or outside for great photos. We had booked the option to fly back to Queenstown (50 min flight vs. 3 1/2hr drive), but unfortunately, the weather wasn’t conducive for the flight, so we drove back with Andy. The drive back was pretty chill, Andy playing a movie for us, and then some tunes, as the passengers either dozed off or accessed the wifi. I’d highly recommend Altitude, being a first class operation with exceptional service (Thank you Andy!)

Just returned from an amazing day trip to Millford Sound with #Shelley our thoroughly entertaining and expert driver/host. She kept us excited and engaged for 4 hours in the ‘van’, including plenty of interesting and strategic stops. Milford Sound was great but would have been amazing if it had rained before or during because the waterfalls and rock faces would have been more alive. Came back on an absolutely amazing flight piloted by #Meagan from #GlenorchyAir. All up #Altitude Tours did an exceptional job with everything, including a great packed lunch. Do it!!

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Kev was very knowledgeable on all aspects of the journey, and also threw in a few mythical stories. Milford Sound was just amazing. Loved the tour and would book again if Kev was the guide!

Bus tour, then boat tour followed by air tour. Fantastic! Great sights to see, and the plane trip was especially awesome! A really great day!!!

Our tour guide was awesome, he made the trip so special. I would give the tour 6 stars if I could. He took his time to explain all details that made the trip a once in a life time experience. It’s a full day so you have to make time but it’s worth it

Wonderful tour - our driver Chelsea was a delight. We were very impressed with how smoothly everything went. Of course, the weather cooperated and we were able to fly back to Queenstown, which was also terrific. Highly recommend!!

We enjoyed the trip and were thrilled that the weather was clear enough for us to fly back. The only issues we had were: (1) They refused to pick us up at our hotel. Instead they required us to walk up a hill and cross a busy street in the dark with no light or crosswalk and to wait in the cold at a city bus stop at 6:30 am. When I expressed our reluctance to do this (we are seniors), I was told just “look both ways before crossing” by an uncaring and unhelpful employee. (2) The bus was not comfortable at all. Very crowded and cramped. Not sure why they call it a luxury bus, but I certainly would not use that term to describe it. It was a just a bus. Everything else was fine. They should work on their customer service a bit.

We had a spectacular day but cloudy so no flight home… disappointed ‼️ our guide Pam was wonderful… kind, soft spoken but commanded our attention by her knowledge and history as well as helping all of us ‼️she gets an A plus…

This was a fantastic day. Andy the driver was amazing, he was friendly, funny and was an incredibly smooth driver. Wilt from Glenorchy air was an absolute legend, with his smooth flying, and fun and insightful commentary. The boat cruise is a must do in NZ! The food was a bit underwhelming, it’s just a sandwich and a few snacks for those that are interested, but food out there is limited and at a premium.
