As soon as I arrived in GDL I was told to take the walking tour. I ran over to The Plaza and was received a friendly greeting. My guide Tiago was highly informative, kind, and knowledgeable. He was also very personable as we shared about ourselves. He took me into City Hall, Cathedral, showed me the shops, gave me recommendation for food and bars, and so much more. I highly recommend you take this tour, which is given in English or Spanish. You won't be disappointed. Wishing you the best on your future endeavors Tiago.

My friends and I did the walking tour of the city historical center. This was an incredible experience. Our tour guide, Thiago, was so friendly and informative. He walked us through important landmarks in the historical center and told interesting stories throughout the history of Guadalajara. He was very flexible with our pace of walking and sometimes excessive photo ops. He also had great recommendations for bars and restaurants around the city. Thiago, thanks for being our guide, we really appreciated your time. I will highly recommend Camina GDL to family, friends and anyone visiting Guadalajara. - Hemal (Chicago, USA)

Showed up to the plaza on a sunny morning and was glad to see Santiago getting ready to start the tour. Turns out we were the only ones that day, meaning we got a private tour. What a treat! Highly informative tour of central Guadalajara from an insightful and very nice fellow. I definitely recommend this tour to anyone interested in seeing GDL and finding out more from a local perspective.

I liked all the tour, I learned more about my city. I live here and I didn't know a lot of things, like the name of the places, the meaning of the paints or who did some sculptures. Maybe, we needed more umbrellas, because the day was really warm. A woman came with us and I think she doesn't speak spanish, so, that helped me to practice my english when she asked some things.

It was an excellent tour, I really enjoyed everything, I love history and the guide was very funny and obviously intelligent. The concept of walking and learning is fascinating, since you can appreciate the city in more detail. The explanation wasn't boring at all and at no time it become something tedious. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Honestly I thought it will be boring, but I really like It. It was very interesting and also a little tiring because we walked a lot. I didn't know about the mural of Miguel Hidalgo in Palacio de Gobierno, I was very surprised when I saw the mural where Miguel Hidalgo was dead, this painting was my favorite. Also the guide was very friendly and he knew to much, I really understood all. I really like It and obviously i recommend this Tour.

Camina GDL ese a crear experience, it was also my first English tour and I can say that it helped me too much to underetand better the English language when someone is speaking and the guide helped us a lot because he knew allí about downtown and we visited lots of places. He knew how to explain it perfectly. Also, a girl from another country joined us yo the tour, it was funny because I thought that she was a mom of someone and when I was taking a picture of me, I realized that she was behind me smiling. The tour was fine and interesting, I recommend it 100%!

To be honest, it was so cool because I thought it will be boring, I mean, I live in GDL, what can I learn about it? Surprise!, there is a mural inside the Degollado theater and a lot of interesting things. The tour guide was cool enough, everything he said I understood, also he spoke fine, I mean, I'm not anyone to judge who does or who doesn't but I think he did it fine. It's totally recommended.

The tour began at the Plaza Liberación, then we visited the most representative places of Guadalajara downtown, the Degollado theater, the cathedral and the "Rotonda de los jalisciences ilustres". The tour started at 10:30 a.m. and it ended at 1:00 p.m. The english of the guide was good and it was understandable to us, the students. The guide also borrowed us some umbrellas for the sun. For me it was an incredible experience because we learned about a lot of history of each Plaza that we visited, art and important people.

I am currently studying English. I enjoyed the tour, I think that tour was important for my English. I believe that the tour was very long, I like that English classes should be more dynamic. The tour helped me to know the city where I live, I hope class change and they become more dynamic.

We had a Guadalajara walking tour with Monica Aguirre and had an amazing time! She give us incredible detailed explanations and was a very thoughtful, personal guide. She didn’t just teach us about all of Guadalajara’s history and beauty, she also helped us with a lot of recommendations about where to go and eat. Definitely recommend her!

Last Saturday, I went to the tour, it was really interesting. I learnt a lot of things about the places we visited. The guide was really nice with us, he was open to answer our questions and he knew a lot about the places we visited. We went to Degollado Theater, to the Cathedral, Palace of Government, Rotunda of Illustrious Jaliscienses, the nearby squares and another important places. I highly recommend you to go, it's cheap and enjoyable, even if you are from Guadalajara, you can go and learn more about your city. Even though I'm from Guadalajara I discovered things about my city.

Santiago ran a fabulous tour - 3 hours. Started at the Plaza de la liberacion and ended up at the Mercado Libertad. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to hear about the historic sites from an enthusiastic local.

I did this walking tour last week with Santiago and it was definitely well worthwhile. Although I had visited a number of the sites already independently, I learnt a lot more about them from him, particularly as that day I was the only English speaker so had individual attention (Spanish speakers were taken round by his colleague). He knows the historic centre and the local history extremely well. Although they thoughtfully brought some umbrellas for participants, I would recommend taking your own as there is little shade in the open squares. My tour was 2 hours as I then had to leave but I felt he could have continued on for as long as I wanted! Much recommended.

I got a guided tour with Santiago. He introduced Guadalajara's background in a very simple and comprehensive way which included the history, foundation, anedoctes, legends, traditions, culture. He suggested diverse mexican food and beverages, bringing us near to mexican gourmet. He did not leave us with any doubts. We really appreciate his dedication to the group. Will definitely participate again! Angela Haj Wongkee (Hong Kong)

Loved our tour with Santiago. He is an encyclopedia of facts about the history and buildings in the historic center of the city. We thought it was to be about an hour and a half, but it was more then 3 hours. I loved learning about the history of this part of Mexico.
