This was one of the most memorable experiences we had as a family in Kyoto! It was absolutely amazing to learn more about this beautiful art form and the history of Maiko! To be able to interact and ask questions and play games was wonderful. I recommend this experience over any other on Tripadvisor when visiting Kyoto. Truly a memorable evening to cherish for a lifetime. The traditional food was also absolutely wonderful!

Firstly, this experience was with a Maiko only. I'm not sure why the listing is incorrect. The food served is Japanese so keep an open mind or eat ahead if you don't care for Japanese food? The host will explain everything once you arrive and she speaks great English. The Maiko was amazing and the question and answer session was unexpected, but I got to learn so much. Would definitely do it again! Had so much fun!

As a resident of Tokyo I've been to Kyoto many, many times but this was by far the best and most special experience I've had. The Maiko-san was lovely and her performance exquisite. We had so much fun playing games and chatting with her. Dinner was amazing too - I love Japanese food so it was really nice. Thank you Miho-san for being a wonderful host. Have recommended this to my friends. If you're traveling to Kyoto this is a must see. Even residents of Japan do not have the opportunity to meet a Maiko-san or Geiko (Geisha) - once in a lifetime opportunity.

It was an awesome experience! They accommodated both English speaking and Japanese guests. The opportunity to see a Maiko perform and ask questions was wonderful. The hosts did an excellent job educating and entertaining.

Fantastic experience! Must do if you come to Kyoto. Very interesting to learn about Maiko and Geiko. English support is flawless if you don’t speak Japanese, it’s no problem!

Excellent experience! We learned a lot about about the process and got to play some games and talk directly with the Maiko. They had an English translator that made the experience a lot easier. Food was very traditional, but very delicious. Highly recommended.

Having a delicious dinner, we can play, talk, take a picture with “Maiko-san.” It was a fantastic time and I felt as if I came back to the old dayspicture with “Maiko-san.” It was a fantastic time and I felt as if I came back to the old days of Japan. 素敵な経験をさせていただきました！美味しい食事をいただきながら、舞妓さんとお座敷遊びをしたりお話ししたり写真を撮れます。可愛らしい舞妓さんとの時間はとても楽しかったし、昔の日本にタイムスリップしたような感覚を味わえました。

It was a wonderful banquet. I live in Japan, but I've never had the chance to meet a maiko. So it was very valuable and interesting to see the maiko's dance in front of me. The dance was so elegant and beautiful that I felt like I was back in time to the old Japanese world. I want foreigners to experience this beautiful Japanese culture!!

It was really great experience. Usually it’s very difficult for us to meet Maikosan so I was so happy to see, play with, and to talk with her. The performance in the candle light was so beautiful that I was very moved.

This is my first time to watch Maiko performance and enjoy game with Maiko with surper delicious food. And this is good chance to know the history of Maiko and their life in Kyoto. The food they served is also nice. It’s so close to Maiko from our seat. And CM is good at English so we could understand well.

A very interesting dinner!! The main attraction is as you can guess the interaction with the maiko. I must say that I did not know much about those traditions myself and that I was pleasantly surprised. I especially liked that you are free and even encouraged to ask any questions. I would like to thank the staff in particular which spoke a pretty much perfect english. The food was good, the drink were unlimited and really good. I say so as someone who do not like sake usually. Overall a great experience!!

As a Japanese, I have only seen Maiko-Sam on the streets in Kyoto (and it is quite rare), but here, you can not only see their dance but also play games and ask questions to real Maiko-san and it is superb! - Because you can’t usually go to places where you can experience unless you are invited and it’s quite expensive. Talking to Maiko-san and getting to know the background and their daily life was very interesting. Knowing the games they play and you get chance to actually play with them too. Dance was beautiful and Maiko-san was They have a MC who can interpret the whole thing so no worries if you don’t understand Japanese! (If you could understand Japanese, it’s also lovely to hear Maiko-san’s perfect Kyoto dialect)

It was first time to see Maiko. The dance, kimono and herself are beautiful! I was surprised she has started Maiko when she was 15 years old. It was nice experience.

I had been living in kyoto for 4 years, i heard a lot about maiko and geiko but i had never seen a dance or even talked to one Maiko. To resume my experience, i went to this shop with a bunch of friends. It was about 2 hours during witch i could enjoy very good food, and see twice a Maiko dance. We also played a game with Maiko. Then we had explanation about them, what they do and i could even ask my own questions. Totally recommended to know more about cutlture of Japan.
