Don Diego our Guide was amazing. He led us through the market with extensive explanations which made it really interesting. At home at Dorcas’ place we then had a wonderful cooking session and a great meal. She was lovely and a fabulous chef. Overall a great experience.

Diago was awesome and was fluent in English. He had a great relationship with the vendors at the market. The market was really interesting and it was great to taste so many fruits, dishes, vegetables & spices prior to cooking. The amount of prep we did for each dish was huge & the recipes were made from scratch. It was so informative. A cold beer was served at the perfect time and the desert was sublime. The day was full of social camaraderie, education & ended with a very satisfied full tummy. To top it off we were emailed a full detailed cookbook of everything we made + more. We highly recommend Diago & Berta (our talented cook) it was well worth every penny. Angela & Mark

Luz was a great tour guide. We had so much fun learning about typical dishes. We ate so much. I didn’t expect to be full after eating but trust me you will be full. The empanadas were my favorite and my husband really loved the chicken. You will definitely have a great time.

Loved the host family that taught us how to cook a traditional meal, as well as our tour guide who shopped us through the market. All the people we met were great and made the experience lovely. Highly recommend doing this excursion!

We really enjoyed this activity. We had a lot of fun! However, the transportation left a little to be desired. It was just too hot in the Collectivo! Again though, we had so much fun. Thank you!

Very well organized. The market visit was very interesting and impressive. Our guide explained everything and answered questions. The cooking lesson went by pretty quickly and the recipe names were still sent by email. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

We had a very great cooking class with a very good tour by our guide Luz, who was able to show us a lot of things at the local market - learning about a few more local fruits/vegetables would have been even nicer. The subsequent cooking over our innkeeper was very warm, inviting and educational. 😀 The food we cooked was very tasty and more than enough for all participants. Luckily we were a small group of 4 people, which we thought was just the right size. A larger group of 8-12 people would have been too many. A very nice and very successful cooking course - thanks to Luz 😀

Best Mexican experience! Luz is a fantastic guide; knowledgeable, friendly and experienced. The market itself is something you really have to see, but she also tought us all about the Mexican spices, fruits and vegetables! We prepared our own meal at a local home with a a lady and her grandmother who know all about the Mexican way of cooking!! Especially for families and small groups, a fantastic activity!

This was a super fun day, starting with meeting new fellow travelers, a great guide, a fun visit to the market and then the sweetest ladies who opened their home and led us thru the preparation of a delicious meal! Will certainly recommend and do again!
