Decided to book this spontaneously earlier in the day and we had the most fantastic time. Gus and Aiden were so knowledgeable and helpful. Such a unique and fun way to take in the ambience of Melbourne- especially with add ons like getting to stop and see the fire show outside the Crown. Will remember this experience for a long time to come!

Absolutely awesome evening kayaking up and around the Yarra River from Docklands to Fed Square. Ari and Adam got us all set up and in our kayaks with a great safety and instruction briefing and we very very quickly on our way. The kayaks also have rudders which make steering and avoiding obstacles a breeze 😀 Anyone can do it, even those with no previous experience! A must do excursion for locals and visitors alike! Certainly deserves the 5 stars! Thanks again for the great night.

This was a wonderful and low-key experience! After going through the necessary basics of kayaking in the double kayaks they have, we loaded our boats into the water, kayaked up the river, and would stop every now and again to hear tidbits from our guide. Halfway through we stopped for dinner, tied up the boats at a dock, and shared a simple communal experience eating in the kayaks themselves with delicious takeaway from a riverside restaurant. (There are more options on the menu than just fish and chips—the grilled fish was excellent!) It was a beautiful sunset and very relaxing evening, even though paddling a kayak is a bit of exercise. We didn’t need to go very fast though. I would definitely recommend this!

A great evening with friendly and competent guides. The view of the city from the water is a different experience and particularly lovely at night. You'll need a reasonable level of fitness for the paddling but it felt safe and comfortable with excellent equipment provided. We thoroughly enjoyed it, thanks Kayak Melbourne!

Highly recommended. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the kayak experience. Our guides, Austin and Arron were both excellent. The only reason it’s not five stars is that we felt it would have been better with fewer people and we could have done more kayaking.

Beautiful night. Pretty when the sun set and we saw the fire show. The dinner was very good. Seems maybe someone got called in last minute to work . I thought I signed up for a single kayak and they were very heavy to load in the water . Slow to start waiting , signing papers, briefing etc . But the kayak aspect was refreshing when the sun went down. Peaceful and informative .

I purchased this as a birthday gift for my friend - we had such a great night! I had no kayak experience before. The instructions were clear and the tour was well-guided. Kayak Melbourne really looked after everyone on water. I felt safe and was able to enjoy myself. The talks about several landmarks and Melbourne's history were a nice touch. Although we were a bit far and behind at some points and missed a few talks. Dinner on the water was such a welcome break from the constant paddling (I got so hungry!). Combining the calming water, sunset, companion, exercise and the spectacular view of Melbourne nightfall, it's a magical experience and is worth every penny. I would recommend this tour and Kayak Melbourne to anyone who's looking for a special thing to do with loved ones in the City.

The most memorable experience was kayaking down the Yarra river admiring the scenery on a perfect night and having dinner in the kayak. It was magical!

We had a fantastic time. The guides were very friendly and had lots of information about the area. Dinner on the kayak was yummy. It was a fun way to see Melbourne. Definitely recommended it.

Had a fabulous time on the water. Our guide was very knowledgeable (if a little lacking in volume). Dinner was sufficient. Overall, the experience was fantastic and made me happy! :) In fact, all of this (almost) made me forget about the apparent disorganization at the beginning of this experience (hence the loss of 1 star). Do I want to go kayaking again? For shore.

A kayak trip along the Yarra river is an excellent way of seeing the sites of the Melbourne waterside from a different perspective. The evening trip meant we saw the city lit up in a way not many visitors get to experience and the dinner aboard was a unique, fun and surprisingly tasty opportunity to take a rest from the exertions of paddling. I would thoroughly recommend this activity if you are ever visitng the wonderful city of Melbourne.

It was an amazing experience enjoying the sunset on the Yarra River while kayaking, and our instructors were friendly and helpful. However, I felt very cold and regretted not bringing my puffer jacket with me. Nevertheless, it was still a memorable experience.

Ben and Charlie were amazing hosts! The activity was well organised and it’s a fantastic time as we got to see the Christmas lights without being amongst the crowd.
