Our meetup location was communicated with enough time for us to plan to be there on time. Our instructor took the time to explain everything to us before we headed out. I had a hard time getting the hang of things (not the fault of the instructor) and she took the time to explain things and not make me feel stupid. I just wish we would have had more time! It was cool though to see some fish and coral.

There were 5 of us aged 14-53, all beginners. They paired us with 2 instructors. Some of us were a little nervous going in, but the instructors made us feel very comfortable and alway safe. We had a GREAT time. The instructors were very friendly and attentive, and the beach we dove at was deep enough but not too deep, and had a lot to see. We even saw a turtle up close.

I am an experienced AOW diver, but I was on vacation in Maui with my grandson and his friend so took the opportunity to take them on a Discover Scuba dive. Gu was the dive master and he did a great job with these 13 year old boys. They really connected with him and enjoyed the dive so much they are hooked and want to become certified when we return home. Can’t wait to take them on their first Scuba trip. My experience with New Horizons was absolutely wonderful and would highly recommend them. They answered all of my questions over the phone before our arrival and were very accomadating, letting me book a dive with the boys so I could take video. The staff is wonderful. You can’t go wrong with them.

Extended Horizons is a different dive outfit. They are very professional where safety, technique and the ecosystem are their priorities. My daughter ended up having an issue with her ears, and Gabi adjusted to accommodate all parties (safety is #1), she was very knowledgeable in the local ecology and I look forward to learning more about diving and practicing so I can come back and do one of their ecotours on Lanai’i. Thank you again!

This introductory lesson is the real deal! You will go scuba diving 28-30ft down, surrounded by giant green sea turtles, nurse sharks, eels and a variety of fish as you swim through the coral reef. I am so happy I was able to get up the nerve to participate in this adventure! Gu was very patient in calming my anxiety. I will never forget the experience! It is life changing. Thank you Gu!

We had an incredible first diving experience thanks to our guide Bruce. He was very patient and explained every step. Thanks to his calm demeanor we felt safe at every moment in the water. Our Dive Master, Bruce was amazing. This was our first scuba diving experience. And Bruce was very thoughtful, patient with our first time scuba experience. Gu was our instructor and he did a fantastic job! Tailored our time to what we were comfortable with. We saw amazing fish, 2 coral reefs, eels, and a turtle! It was our first time scuba diving in the ocean and he made it feel really easy. Would definitely book with this company again. Excellent!!

Phillip, our instructor, did just a fantastic job with my two sons who took their first dive off of Kahekili Beach. The classroom instruction was organized, relevant, and easy to understand for them. Philip was an excellent instructor and all around great guy to guide me through this intro to scuba. Class was easy and straightforward and once we got in the water he was very attentive and allowed me to progress at a rate that was comfortable and stress free. Brad was an amazing instructor and made me and my wife feel so comfortable for our first dive. We had an option to stay and additional hour and of course we took it. 10/10 would recommend.

Learning how to properly dive to be able to enjoy what you cannot see from the surface. Instructor Bruce made it very easy to learn for a first timer.

The instructor was excellent and made learning the basics easy. He was great at keeping us calm as learning to breathe underwater can be scary. We saw a turtle on our dive, which was really cool!

Discovering Scuba Diving was a wonderful experience. Brad did a great job. We learned a lot and had a wonderful morning seeing beautiful fished and the sea from another perspective. Again, Brad did great as he was patient and shared his energy, which felt great. We totally recommend. Definitely not the last time for us diving. Brad, Thank you.
