We had the best time on the food tour! Our tour guide Tarik was super knowledgeable, passionate about the local food and awesome. It felt like we were exploring the medina with a friend. All the food was delicious, and we had a great time. :)

We have had very positive experiences with Moroccan food tours, in multiple locations. The guides are genuine experts and take you to interesting places (not just more tagine!) and have great insider knowledge, happy to answer cultural questions and take photos etc. We had one small issue in meeting our guide and also had to cancel another tour but they fixed things very quickly and we were satisfied with the outcome. The most important quality however is that they do not constantly try to sell you things like so many tourist experiences in Morocco. We recommend.

We would strongly recommend this food tour!! Everything we tasted was delicious. Our guides were amazing, funny, polite, they explained everything about what we tasted and made sure to ask us all the time if we needed anything in order to make us comfortable. Even if it was Ramadan when we visited Marocco, our guides made the most of it and we got to eat the tastiest food during our entire trip! We even got to visit a traditional communal bakery oven. Thank you guys for the amazing experience!

An enjoyable evening but not the best food tour I have been on. The food was very filling and not very tasty. I could have done with knowing more about Morocco, Moroccan food history and the context. The tour was made better because we had to change the timing and we were at the Ramadan 'breakfast'.

It was apparent right from the start that Fatima, our guide, was passionate about the food and the culture that she wanted to show us, sharing her own stories about Moroccan cuisine as well as of the stalls at which we stopped. We made a list at the end of all the wonderful dishes and fabulous foods we had tasted - it was long! And we had to keep going back to it to add ones we had omitted. It was a fabulous three hours, culminating in sharing the Iftar after sunset. The sheer variety of food we sampled was incredible and an unforgettable experience. Thank you so much!

Really great walking tour that took us away from the main central square into the souks to discover some hidden gems. We ate with the locals and learned so much about the different foods. Thanks to Sharma for being such a first class guide and making it so interesting and fun.

Very different food tour from all our previous ones. Marrakech isn't the type of place where you can reserve a table so it was a bit adhoc and stop wherever there was availability. Our guide Redouin was excellent and was able to give great details and history of the food and area. The food itself was hit and miss. It was all traditional Moroccan food but found it a bit bland, especially the fava bean dish & semolina soup. The lamb was fabulous as were all the types of olives. We made about 10 different stops, lasted about 4 hours and appeared to have walked all over the Medina. Tasted nearly all types of Moroccan food, especially from all the stalls but unfortunately a lot of flat bread/crepe type dishes and of course no alcohol. I'm glad I did the tour as Redouin definitely has the Knowledge but the food let it down, which isn't the fault of the tour, just Moroccan traditional food.

My husband and I did the food tour this morning. It was small and quaint with one other couple. Our guide, Chama was phenomenal! Not only was she friendly and knowledgable and even offered to show us where we could purchase slippers and a scarf after the tour. Oh, and the food was AMAZING! My favorites were the soup, olives and the “juice” (really a smoothie). We highly recommend this tour and you cant go wrong with Chama!

Our guide, Chama, was exceptional. She filled our morning with great stories of Moroccan life and food. Her passion for her heritage and ways of life were a pleasure to listen to Would definitely book again !!

Really amazing food tour to a variety of interesting eateries in Marrakesh. Tour was easily adapted for me being vegetarian. The guide Chama was excellent - friendly and informative.

Fatima was such a fantastic tour guide! She took us to many places, including a Moroccan restaurant where actual Moroccan people eat. We learned a lot and ate delicious food along the way. Thank you Fatima!

Our guide was friendly and obviously an experienced guide but not too knowledgeable about food. He said at the beginning that he didn’t cook much. We booked a food tour because we wanted to learn more about Moroccan food. There was information I found out later about the food we ate that he could have shared.

I saw some famous YouTubers recommend Moroccan food tour for and thought my wife and I would have a good time learning about Moroccan food culture. It was a waste of time and I don’t recommend this service for anyone. My tour guide was knowledgeable about Moroccan culture and cuisine but he told us in the beginning we would go to 7 or 8 food vendors but in the end we went to 4 and he ended the tour after 3 hours and not the 4 hours that we paid for. The few places we went to were good and the food was delicious. Then on a tangent we went to a beauty supply and the guide waited for us outside the shop. We went Ere told that the shop only opens twice a month. I mean sell in the Medina twice a month when they live so far away? Was she trying to make it sound like this would be my only chance to buy their products? And I wonder if abdul would have gotten a commission from a sale? The last place we went to was chez lamine and it wasn’t the first location that mustapha opened but the second location. Why wouldn’t he bring us to the original location where he works so we could see mustapha? That was the last stop of our tour, and Abdul made it 3 hours instead of 4. Pretexting that most tourists would ask to end the tour earlier because of the heat or because they are not hungry anymore (sigh). We would recommend to try another tour or even explore by yourself instead. This tour isn’t worth it

Excellent tour, highly recommend. Great way to tour the medina and interact with locals. Tarik was a phenomenal guide and he must be one of the best things about Marrakech!

What an amazing start to our holiday! Our Guide, Tariq, was welcoming, friendly, and informative and really made an effort with our 2 sons (8 & 10) and our youngest really took a shine to him. The food was good, and a visit to a traditional herbalist helped not only identify some of the flavours we experienced, but some of the medicinal properties of the spices used. Towards the end of our tour (evening food tour) we realised that we would have to leave otherwise we'd miss our last transfer bus back to the hotel. Tariq went above and beyond and organised us alternative transport back so we wouldn't miss out. Thank you Moroccan Food Tours & thank you Tariq (Stirling says hi and says he will keep his promise) Oh and try the snails! Just like shittake mushrooms!

If you want to sample a wide range of fabulous Moroccan food from all around the Jemaa el-Fna market, this is the tour for you! We had at least 13 different sweet and savoury things which were fresh and delicious (and any dietary needs are checked in advance). For the finale, we had dinner on a rooftop terrace which included authentic tangia. Our guide was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and great fun!

Abdul was a great tour guide. We didn’t just experience the food culture, he also shared a lot of the history with us. The food was authentic and a lot. We just couldn’t eat it all. And we got to take two different side dishes home for later 😊

Great introduction to Marrakech, its busy souqs in Medina and, of course, great food. Cool guide with lots of information and prepared itinerary, but also open to instant opportunities like tasting seasonal cactus fruit from local seller on the street.
