About Marble Mountain The good : The mountain is very nice especially in the sunset view (the time when I visited it). There are many historic caves in there with the statues of lady Budha. There is even one shrine where you can pray to get love. The Pagoda provides a serene ambience to calm you after the climb. You will get to choose between stairs and elevator (for extra cost). I, personally found stairs as a better option as you can explore the scenery little by little with every ascending step rather than getting completely awestruck at once. It is not a must visit but I wouldn't say it is not recommendable. CAUTION: IF YOU ARE TAKING STAIRS, PLEASE BEWARE THAT THE STEPS ARE VERY SHORT (since they are man- made and have been preserved original). You may feel very hot, so please take a hand fan or cold water alongside. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- About HOI AN The good : The ambience of the lantern lit river in night makes up a truly romantic atmosphere. Especially when I visited it had a red moon which made the scene very beautiful. There is also a complete market there for lot of goods (including GUCCI, LV, Chanelle, Prada countefiets). There were nice food stalls for both veg and non veg options. Just Ok: The boat ride is okayish and you can take up some good photos but may not find it very enjoyable if you have taken up other water rides. The Bad: Even after being a UNESCO recognised site I found that there was trash in water of Hoi An river which was a bit disappointing. The street vendors may be a bit more cheesy than what you see in rest of the vietnam but you see they are also trying to make a living, so I guess that's still understandable. 😉

The trip is really well organised. The guide is very knowledgeable and genuine. Loved the trip. It had a really personal touch. The dinner was one of the best we have had in Vietnam and they make sure to prepare delicious food for people with special dietary requirements. The boat ride does cost extra- so keep that in mind. Lots of shopping to do.

The Marble Mountains were exquisite. However Hoi A was a BIG disappointment. We had an excellent dinner, but after that the size of the crowds was crazy. Most time was spent looking after your belongings. Sure it was pretty but the huge number of people ruined the experience for me. Jostling and pushing everywhere to move is not my idea of fun

The tour was great and covered all bases. It was very organized, and the tour guide was top-notch. Only slight drawback would be that they stopped at a statue and stone place on the way to the Hills and the merchants try to incessantly sell you stuff. That was a bit annoying.

I loved Hoi An market and it is a must visit for me. The market is huge and the walks at night was really nice. It has lots of stalls to buy food and stuffs. You will need to bargain hard on the stuffs if you are looking to buy as they give a sky high price.

Had great time! Decent price! Hoi An City is very beautiful and romantic especially at night time. Love the boat ride, must do! Marble Mountain is also spectacular. Lots of climbing. About 125 steps to the top. The tour guide was also very helpful and friendly. Thank-you so much

The bus was old and the sound system did not work well when sitting at the back of the bus...the only seats available when I boarded the bus. The group and guide disappeared from my site after climbing the stairs. I waited 25 to 30 minutes hoping the guide would notice I was not with the group. The guide did not notice I was missing from the group. I did not know where to go to continue the tour. After 30 minutes I figured I should go back to the bus so as not to be left behind. I waited over an hour for the tour to return to the bus. I feel cheated. I believe I should receive at least part of a refund to this tour. Ivan

The marble mountains not visiting mountains but a cave. The cave have a lot of man-made artificial sculptures. Those photos shown on tour package with sunlight shining it is on some hours only. The cave is close 5pm. After marble mountains we continue the tour to Hoi An ancient town, the river and ancient town are full on lights and lanterns. Beautiful and colourful on night but too many visitors too crowded. We have a night walk on river side then process to dinner. We don't have chance to visit those small local craft shops but left right after dinner... the experience not impress

Beautiful tour to experience an ancient town - marble mountain was great & worth the 150 steps up! Our vegetarian needs for dinner were catered for and it was delicious Vietnamese cuisine! Tim was a good guide.

It was a good tour all around, saw the two underground caves at marble mountain. Beautiful sites from the temple, mountain and city site. Hoi An was not bad, good food at the restaurant, night Market was on, sites of the stream of the canoes and lanterns were pretty cool. Wish I was able to see the ancient building of Hoi An. I wasn't I terested in the marble store because I wasn't interested in buying anything there.

The tour guide Tim was knowledgeable and gave interesting information. We did not appreciate the half hour stay at the marble factory at the start of the tour, such a waste of time since we all sat around and no one had the intention to purchase. Hoi An was beautiful and the dinner with local flair was excellent!

The first stop was the marble sculpture art shop, a very interesting place to see all kinds and shapes of sculptures. Our guide Tim is very professional and explained all the details clearly, he's also very friendly and patient. The second stop was The Five Elements mountain, The Marble mountain. The view is stunning, we visited the metal temple and the cave. The last stop was Hoi An city, the dinner can be improved to suit the international tourists. Also should provide water as well. The ancient city of Hui An is so beautiful, the colourful lanterns light up every street and shop. The duration of the last stop should be at least 3 hours instead of 1.5 hours.

Simply Nice Tour and Value for money! Too Simple and Uncomfortable Car for transportation. Had better experience:) Good Dinner and Enough time to experience the city.

There's sufficient time to explore Hoi An at night. Be careful of touts pushing the river boat rides. The dinner included in the tour was delicious and a good introduction to Vietnamese cuisine. Do note that it's a climb of almost 200 steps to the top of Marble Mountain (parts of it steep), so it's only for those who are really fit. Also, the descent from the top is after sunset and there's no lighting along the path - you will need to use your mobile phone.
