We spent the day with the most amazing guide, Christian. He was incredibly knowledgeable and everything was precisely coordinated by Felipe ahead of the day. Brunch was lovely and every meal accommodated my gluten issues with no problem! I liked that this was much more of a cultural tour than others we have had, from the home cooked meals to the types of winery tours led by Christian. It was one of our top tours of our ten days in Santiago!!!

WOW WOW WOW! I had the absolute best time on this tour! Felipe is a wonderful host and such a kind person. My tour guide was Christian and he is the best. Both of them made the wine experience. Absolutely fantastic for me and my coworker. We enjoyed delicious food, wine, conversation. I highly recommend this tour to anyone in the Santiago area to get a fabulous overview of the culture, the landscape, the people and the wine five stars!

Carolina was a wonderful tour guide. She has an extensive background in wine making and was able to share her knowledge and expertise in a fun way. We enjoyed her company very much. It was a fantastic tour of multiple wineries whom she knew personally. We highly recommend this tour with Carolina!

Felipe and Cristian were terrific hosts and very knowledgeable about the vineyards and wineries in Maipo Valley. We tasted some extraordinary wines and had an unforgettable lunch at Santa Ema. Truly a remarkable day!

The driver Felipe and the guide Christian are excellent. Friendly and full of information on the area and the wines. We began with a visit to the art studio of Constanza Mayo. Galeria La Espina del Arte. We had breakfast under the large tree in the yard and chatted away about Chile, art, Maipo, and so much more. We then toured her husband's bakery (yum! we had bread from the bakery for breakfast!), and then her studio of wire sculpture. Next came wineries and one that also presses some of the best olive oil in the world! We loved all of the wineries, but Santa Ema stood out, where we also had lunch. The chef there is amazing and the food with wine was wonderful. We learned all about Carmenere grapes and how Chile unknowingly aided the grape to survive! It was a wonderful day that ended in taking a few bottles away! Thank you Felipe and Christian! This company has a number of wine tours including tours by bike and horseback! Great company to travel with!

We had a wonderful time with Christian. He was incredible guide, very knowledgeable and clearly enjoys his work. Everything went smoothly and we were able to taste at least six wines if not more. We were introduced to wines we would never have experience without this trip. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful day spent wine tasting with Carolina! We ended up with a private tour where we started with an amazing breakfast (ancient grain bread from the in house bakery, jams, eggs) along with wine of course! Then we started our visits which included 4 wineries as well as a delicious lunch, in an amazing setting no less. The wines were all great examples of different types of wines from the area (including Carmenier of course.) The day ended at the most beautiful winery, set atop a hill looking over the vineyards. I have to say this one of the best wine tasting days I have had. Special thanks to Carolina who was so knowledgeable, knew everyone in Maipo, and had fun and interesting stories to share. It felt like a great day of tasting wine with our friend who offered to drive us around. This is a great experience and one not to miss!

My wife and I took this tour in December 2022 on our first day in Chile after arriving via an overnight flight. It was a nice introduction to the country. Communication via text was smooth beforehand. The breakfast and lunch, both hosted at the homes of locals, were a great touch. Christian was a capable guide loaded with information, not just about wine but about the area and its history. Very enjoyable day. One word of warning: This tour does not feature wine tastings per se. Rather, you show up at each of the four vineyards with a single, pre-purchased bottle of wine (or a bottle that your guide purchases in the moment) that you can enjoy on premises. Given the description, I had expected tastings at each vineyard. Instead of being served a variety of pours in a tasting room by someone who works at the vineyard, you drive up to various producers and open a bottle. That could be good or bad depending on your preferences. We also ended up being the only two people on the day's tour, which made for an intimate experience but also meant we were in the back of a sedan rather than the "little wine bus" in the description. Again, could be good or bad depending on your perspective. Overall we had fun. Christian shows you a great time and there are worse ways to spend a day in Santiago. But if you're looking for traditional wine tastings where you really get a sense of each vineyard, this might not be for you.

Thought this was as a group tour but ended up just the bride and I. Not a complaint- just a pleasant surprise.

We've been wine tasting all over the world, and this was one of our favorite experiences. It was intimate and unique and we felt like we really got to see and taste authentic Chilean wines. Christian was an amazing, fun guide, and we felt like we left with a new friend. We would do it again if we could. =)

This wine tour was a perfect mix of tasting, ambiance, education and sheer fun!! It truly delivers a full understanding of the wines of Chile without a "tourist" vibe. Beginning with a delightful breakfast and wine, traditional empanadas and wine, a lunch of fresh caught fish and wine, and wine and sherbert!! All in the backyard of the locals! This was weaved into visits of wineries where we learned even more about the process. Carolina was our guide - from Chile - but speaks English as well as we do coming from the states. Since our Spanish is limited this was extremely important. But moreover, Carolina knows her wine and much about Chile in general! We came away with an incredible understanding of the area as well as wine!! The best investment we made as part of our visit to Chile was connecting with this tour and Carolina. Many thanks!!

This is a great way to explore the wines and the culture of Isla de Maipo. Felipe and our guide, Carolina were both extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The tour itself was brilliant, from the moment Carolina picked us up from our hotel, to the drop off at the end of the day. We loved the opportunity to be welcomed into the homes of some wonderful local people, and to get to know them over home-cooked breakfast or lunch, or one of the many glasses of wine we were offered throughout the day. We can heartily recommend this tour, as a unique experience.

Amazing, Christian was a fantastic tour guide. The small group size allowed the tour to be very personal. Everyone was super knowledgeable and passionate about wine, while also teaching about Chile's rich history. This is a MUST for a wine lover.

I wholeheartedly recommend this unique experience with Maipo Valley Wine Tours. Carolina, was my guide and she graciously guided us around the Maipo Valley region. I took this tour as a solo participant and met a lovely couple along with Carolina. From the moment I was picked up at my hotel, I felt at ease with the friendliness Carolina extended. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience and every stop we took was wonderful. Highlights for me were the breakfast and wine at an artists private home, our visit to Granja Fantastica - where Giancarlo served us wine fresh out of the barrel and taught us about the winemaking process, and then our private lunch at Casaquinta Peumayen, where we were able to explore the grounds and see the wildlife. In addition, we visited more traditional and beautiful wineries. Truly had the best day and would do it all over again the next time I visit!

This is not your typical wine tour, it is so much more! We had a group of 12 and upon arriving at our first stop...a very talented local artist's home where we had breakfast in her garden, we knew it was going to be a great day. Our guide, Cristian, quickly became our friend and was so incredibly knowledgeable and a joy to listen to...about wine, yes, but also about Chile and its current events and climate. Felipe, Constanza and Cristian...thank you for this once in a lifetime experience to see a different part of Chile and for your kindness, education...and wine!

Absolutely a brilliant tour. Carolina was a wealth of knowledge and it was basically a private tour. Fabulous and a must do when in Santiago!
