Excellent trip with a brilliant & helpful guide, Chen who made contact via WhatsApp before & leading up to the trip giving lots of info including what we'd need to bring. On the day, prompt collection from our city centre hotel, before travelling to a little town for an authentic Indian breakfast. Chen describes everything so well, including fascinating recent Malaysian history and info about the local cultures. Lovely traditional Malaysian picnic lunch provided & also a local Chinese noodle dinner afterwards. The trek is physically quite tough if you are unfit. My husband was carrying an injury and did struggle a bit, but Chen kept the pace reasonable to account for this & helped him on the way down. There were regular water breaks too. However, the exertions were well worth while. The sounds & sights of the jungle were amazing to experience. The two swims in ponds by the waterfalls were my highlights and we had plenty of time to rest and enjoy the experience at both stops. I would highly recommend this trip & thanks to Chen-including for the photos and videos he sent afterwards too.

The whole trip from beginning to end was superb. The trip is planned perfectly by Chen. I really can't advise you more to do this trip. You get to taste lots of traditional food and walk through proper jungle to a beautiful water fall. My only advice is it is a tough day and you need to be above average fitness as some of the terrain is pretty tough but it is so worth it. Probably the best tour we have done as a family. The jungle tour with Chen was one of my highlights during my visit in Malaysia. Chen is a really nice tour guide, knows the jungle well and told us many interesting stories. Everything was well organized and we got a taste of different cuisines through our meals during the day. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone who loves to see the jungle!

An amazing and rewarding experience. Our tour guide Chen ( along with the hunting dogs from the local native village) made us feel at ease and safe within the Malaysian jungle. Chen and his wife gave us an In-depth glimpse into Indigenous culture, Malaysian history and spiritual beliefs, as well as shared expert knowledge on local jungle animals, flora and fauna. The waterfall ( the cleanest water we have been in and the perfect temperature) at the top was well worth the 4.5 hour hike there and back. This experience is also not limited to the hike itself, with Chen and his wife also going above and beyond by providing pick up and drop off, allowing us to rehydrate and shower at their Airbnb, as well as introducing us to a whole day of drinks, traditional Malaysian breakfast, lunch and dinner foods. My sister and I had a wonderful experience visiting the beautiful scenery and waterfalls to be found on this trek. Chen is an excellent guide, we enjoyed yummy, authentic food and had lots of interesting chats with Chen and his partner Jules. We felt very at ease with them and learned lots about Malaysia whilst having a very exciting time in nature! Our highlight was getting to swim in the power of the waterfall, followed by a delicious nasi lemak eaten on the rocks. Highly recommended for anyone looking to get a flavour of authentic Malay cuisine, learn about the history and culture and connect with its jungles!

We have been all over the World over the years and done many things so when we say this is just about the best trip we have ever done hopefully explains how brilliant it was. If you are ever in Kuala Lumper, you really should meet Governor Chen. Not only was the trip into the Malayan jungle an amazing experience but the stories and information you get from Chen are another level of interesting. Ask Chen about the Pontianak he caught on camera and the famous story of the girl who disappeared - you will never forget it! Then there is the waterfall, worth all the effort to get to it. In the 8 hours of so we were in the Jungle, we passed two other people on the way back down, that's how remote it is.

Chen was amazing; he guided us on this jungle hike and told us information about the jungle, history, and customs. He let us go at our own pace and would wait for us a key areas to make sure we did not get lost. While I agree that this hike was moderate there were areas that were difficult, especially given the frequency of rain (it is a rainforest!). I think the tour lists close toed shoes as recommended, I would say this is a must. You want a shoe with above good traction (again, it is a rainforest) and good ankle support. While I did this in Chocos I would NOT recommend this. Bring water because you will sweat! Chen also provided walking sticks which I would also 10/10 recommend you opt to use as they were a life saver. The waterfall is well worth the hike; Chen will allow you to frolick for an hour or two or less depending g on demand. While the main purpose was the hike, we also had three local meals. Breakfast and dinner were exceptional! After the hike, Chen brought us to his local B&B and allowed us to shower.

It was just unbelievable and amazing experience for me and my wife. We hiked through the rainforest, enjoyed by the nature and scenic views. The waterfall was spectacular as well. The only thing I would suggest - be ready for raining. Just because it’s Malaysia, and it’s a RAINforest. I recommend this tour, and Chen personally, - all was just fabulous and 11 of 10 (despite we were completely wet on the way back).

It was a great great experience! Chen is a very friendly tour guide with a lot of experience and knowledge. The organisation of the trip was fluidly, and above all, the hike was amazing. It was so exciting to get the true feel of the jungle, so close to KL. The local breakfast, lunch and dinner was the cherry on top. Thank you Chen! Highly recommended

We booked this trip based on the strong reviews it already had on TripAdvisor, and also as a way to get out of the hustle and bustle of KL. We received everything that the Trek describes and more! Chen was a fantastic host. He is very passionate about Malaysia as a country, and does his best to showcase various local foods as well as teach you about the culture of Malaysia. I had never had curry noodles before....and of course he had us try durian...which we may not ever eat again, but at least we tried it! On our trek up to the waterfall, Chen was also very knowledgeable about all of the foliage and animals/bugs in the area. If you are on the fence about doing this, don't hesitate...just book it! You will not regret the experience...this was the most memorable part of our 5 days in KL!

We had one of the best adventures while White River Rafting as a family of three (a couple and 13 yr old son). The day started with us getting picked up and journeyed over to the location where we had a good Malaysian breakfast at the local favorite restaurant. Then we started heading to the river point where the guides addressed and demonstrated the safety and tips of the calls given as we navigate the raft. Throughout the 2 hours rafting, we made a few quick stops that allowed us to take in the beauty of the river, swimming and enjoy jumping off cliffs into the refreshing river. All of our guides were friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, fast and quick thinkers as they maneuvered us through the river while we all work together. It was so much fun! They made sure we are safe all the time and had fun. We sure did! It was so enjoyable. The day ended great as we had another local Malaysian favorite meal, then rested at a very beautiful and relaxing Inn. Later we were brought home sated, happy and felt lucky that we met Chen and his wonderful crew who just made this day, one of the best vacation day we had. Chen’s love for adventure and history shows through how he managed the day itinerary. From the day I reached out about this outing, he was easy to work with and communication was good. It was great that we also gained some history about the country and had great conversations as we drove around from/to the locations. Thank you, Primal! We will return to do this again along with the other adventures while getting a booking at the wonderful and relaxing Bed and Breakfast Inn (Sarang by the Brook) when we return to Malaysia.

Great day of hiking with Chen who is very knowledgeable and passionate about his work. The day starts early at 6am so that you can avoid traffic and any nasty weather. The hike itself was not too difficult, but still challenging enough to keep it fun and you will need to have shoes with good grip and be using your hands from time to time. Swimming in the pool near the waterfall was also very fun and refreshing. The food was delicious, very local and traditional Malaysian food. We returned to our hotel around 5pm which was perfect to have enough time for evening activities or just rest. Would definitely recommend this day trip!

Wie all enjoyed the great and lovely tripp very much! Chen picked us up and we went to an exciting hill from were we had a great overview of the wonderful Jungle of Malaysia. Afterwards wie walked long a river to Beautiful waterfall were we could rest, swim and enjoy. The tracks were interesting and we saw a lot of the wilderness without feeling insecure with Chen on our side. The were no dangerous Or ugly animals and we had a great time. Also included were three meals at local restaurants. That was a great experience for us - that traditional and delicious food. And even European people can eat and digest it well. Always would do a trip with Chen again. Very very good!

This was an amazing experience and we loved every part of it. It was really cool to swim by the waterfall after hiking through the jungle. Chen was a great guide, really friendly and planned the day out including the food stops really well. The food stops themselves were fantastic, some of the best food we had whilst in Malaysia. During the trek he would stop to explain some of the fauna and even the Malaysian history, which was all very interesting. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys the outdoors

Huge thanks to Chen who was a great guide! We really enjoyed this activity. Chen picked us up from our apartment and we drove around an hour where we stopped for breakfast. The food was great and all included in the cost of the trip. Chen was so full of knowledge and local history. it was a learning experience before we even got into the jungle. We stopped to pick up lunch and leave any unnecessary baggage before our trek and set off. The climb was amazing and so much fun. Chen stopped regularly to teach us about the plants, animals and local history and traditions. When we reached the waterfall we had the chance to swim. It really was a wonderful experience. I would love to do this again in the future! Thank you so much!

I had a great trek through the jungle to the waterfall. The trek was quite easy and Chen provided a lot of interesting information about nature, people and country. Also the food was very delicious!
