Absolutely amazing tour!!!! Booked to go with my sister on our last night in York. Alice is fantastic, somehow remembered everyone's name and gave a really interesting and funny account of Yorks history. Really informative and enjoyable... we will tour with her again when we come back

Amazing tour. Mad Alice is creative and entertaining and a great way to learn about the bloody history of York. Not just about ghosts, but there is some of that. It’s an amazing performance rather than just elaborate ghost stories. Thoroughly recommend.

Such a fun, engaging and funny tour of York. Just the right amount of bloody stories, humour, ghost stories, and a few sad ones too. Mad Alice genuinely earns every penny and not only remembers everyone’s name, even when there’s 20+ people on the tour. But whilst walking between places she takes the time to chat to everyone, giving recommendations where needed and generally going above and beyond any tour I’ve been on!

Our guide arrived an immediately knew everyone’s names, making everyone feel welcome and at ease. She had a wonderfully vibrant personality which made the history of York come to life. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour and highly recommend!

Great knowledge combined with excellent humor. Good experience! Did not bring my young son (5 y/o) which was probably a good call bc some of the descriptions and history of hangings may have been hard to handle… but for an adult or young teen this is a great 1.5hrs spent!

Excellent, Alice was awesome. Gave us a good walk around York with loads of interesting stories and facts while also making things humorous. She remembered everyone's names from the bookings and made sure she spoke to everyone individually as we travelled to and from each spot. Definitely recommend.

A superb tour. I genuinely can’t get my head around the very tiny number of negative comments. Alice find the balance between humour, drama and factual story telling that’s suitable for adults and kids to attend. We had a group of around 40, she knew everyone’s names from their bookings and worked hard to have an interaction with all the people on the tour. We learnt some cool facts about the place from someone who not only knows their stuff but showed genuine interest in the people who attended. Loved it!
