Upon train arrival in Aguas Calientes, another staff member met us and escorted us to the bus for the mountain ascent. At Machu Picchu, our amazing guide, Vilma, greeted us. With over 20 years of experience, her knowledge was boundless. She answered all our questions with enthusiasm and brought the ancient city to life. After the three hour private tour, Vilma ensured our smooth return to the bus and train station. Back in Ollantaytambo, William was waiting to drive us back to our hotel. We’ve just returned from our full day out to Machu Picchu. Without any hesitation I would give this tour guide 5 stars. We were greeted by Eduardo at our hotel the evening before. Super informative, charming & helpful. Fully briefed for our excursion the following day. William our driver, collected us promptly at the time stated & took us to the train station. Once in Machu Picchu our guide Richard was there waiting at the station. Friendly, great English & knowledgeable about Machu Picchu . He takes incredible photos & videos for you. He travelled back to the train station with us & said goodbye, then the train took us back to the Ollantaytambo station where William was waiting to bring us home. Worth every single penny for peace of mind & easy flow for the different steps you need to follow. Loved every minute & Machu Picchu does not disappoint

Everything about this trip is so organized, which makes it completely stress-free! Every single person that guided us during this excursion was kind, friendly and amazing! Starting with Efrain who came to our hotel to explain each detail and instruction of the excursion, very kind! Then, Angel our private driver that took us to the Peru Train, he even provided blankets for each of us! He was so friendly and communicative! Veronica, a sweetheart who guided us from the train to the bus at Aguas Calientes and made sure we got there safely! Then, last but not least our tour guide, Samuel! So detailed, funny and made the tour in Machu Picchu so amazing even when it started raining!!! Thank you to EVERYONE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I would highly recommend this tour company, especially for those visiting Machu Picchu for the first time. At every step, they were attentive, punctual, coordinated, diligent, and very respectful. They were able to navigate the process for us with ease while even resolving a bureaucratic issue we encountered per one of my friend’s tickets. They are well connected to the local and regional authorities to resolve any issues that may arise. Our driver was courteous and knowledgeable as was our guide at the site. Overall it was a highly positive experience marked by detailed, professional-level of support indicative of true professionals.

Getting there from Cusco is a lot but they coordinated everything. They sent someone the day before to go over everything to make sure we understood everything and he gave us the tickets we needed. That was very helpful. Going from car to train to bus was a lot easier. The tour guide brought us thru all of Machu Picchu, on circuit 2. He was great. He explained so many details and historical facts about the Incas as we walked along the path. I has actually booked with another tour but found out about the circuits the week before. Circuit 2 is best and that one did 3 or 4. This tour group was very accommodating to accept my booking a week before. The emails were very descriptive and I really appreciated that. From booking to end of tour, this group is fantastic.

I will admit I was initially a bit apprehensive about booking and sending large amounts of money for a tour with an independent agency as I usually use things like viatour but I am very happy I did! The communication throughout the booking was great and the pre trip meeting helped us to understand the day fully and we were even offered other options when one of our group was sick and we nearly had to change days. There are quite a few moving parts (taxis, train, bus) to the day all of which went flawlessly and I can’t think of anything I would improve. Our guide ‘Roberto’ was clearly very passionate about Inca history and Machu Pichu and we had a great and funny day with him. Would definitely recommend cuscoperu. Thanks!

The tour was well organised. The driver, Victor, was professional and he continued updating us on the area and its highlights as we passed through the various locations. Our guide, Juan Carlos, being of Inca descent, was very passionate about his work. He conducted the tour very professionally. All in all, I was very impressed with the tour.

Organization, service, and overall experience was excellent. There is a lot of travel involved from Cusco (about 7 hours total round trip) with a 2.5 to 3 hour tour of Machu Picchu. It’s a long day but totally worth it. We were briefed in person the night before our tour. Our van driver Victor picked us up at our hotel at 5:30am and told us about our surroundings as we drove 1.5 hours to Ollantaytambo. We took the Perurail train 1.5 hours to Aguas Calientes. There we were told to meet our tour guide. When we could not find him, we texted our CuscoPeru contact Efrain via WhatsApp. He was very responsive and made sure to contact our guide to come find us. We met our tour guide Rebekah who rode the bus 30 minutes with us to the base of Machu Picchu. She gave an excellent 2.5 hour tour and history of Machu Picchu in English. After the tour, we rode the bus back down to Aguas Calientes (about 30 minutes). We ate lunch at Machu Pisco, which was great! After our lunch we took the Perurail train 1.5 hour back to Ollantaytambo, where Victor was waiting for us. On the drive back to Cusco, we stopped at a textile store where we saw how sheep and alpaca wool was cleaned and died with natural soap and dies. It was an great addition to the whole experience! Victor dropped us back at our hotel around 8pm. I would highly recommend this tour if you have only a short time in Cusco and want to see Machu Picchu!

CuscoPeru Tours is a well organized company, the service was over the top. In preparation of the tour Eduardo made sure we were informed of everything, the ride to train station was in clean van, the driver was good at making the ride to and from train interesting and the Roberto was an amazing guide, we was patient with us and knowledgeable of the mountain and area.
