I booked a 6-day machame route hike with Monkey Adventures in late January. The success of this lifetime adventure was made possible by my outstanding guide Ola and his dedicated team (cook, waiter and porters). Each evening a comprehensive briefing for the following day was provided, making sure I was well-prepared for the journey ahead. They had everything mapped out perfectly, especially for the big day – summit day. We started off at 12:40am and were able to reach Stella Point around 6am, just in time for the gorgeous sunrise, exactly as planned. My guide Ola was not only an expert navigator but also an incredible photographer, capturing all the cool moments throughout the trek which made this journey even more unforgettable. Big thanks to Ola and the entire crew for their professionalism, warmth and thoughtfulness in helping to make my dream come true!

I couldn't fault this trip. Excellent communication from time of booking. Felt safe and secure the whole time. Our main guide Charles and assistant guide Angelo were brilliant. Providing us with the encouragement we needed to make it to the summit. The whole team was incredible. Professional and incredibly hard working. Being the most cost effective company it is such good value for money so would HIGHLY recommend. Just make sure you tip your porters accordingly! They really are super heroes. A once in a life time trip.

My friend and I booked a Kilimanjaro climb and safari with monkey adventures and both far exceeded our expectations. For the Kilimanjaro climb, we got one of the most senior guides, Dixon, who with the assistance of his assistant guide, Nelson, kept us feeling safe and prepared throughout the trek. Both guides clearly had a lot of experience on the mountain and made the hike very memorable. At morning and night, the cook Leonard prepared great food with a lot of calories, keeping us fueled up for some long days. I brought snacks thinking I would be hungry but was kept full from the meals prepared for us. Even The service from our waiter, Elhariji was great even though food service seems like it would be the last of your worries on the mountain. Each morning we were woken with hot tea and coffee in our tent followed by breakfast and beginning our day. It was such a great experience to meet all the people that make this trek possible by working hard carrying heavy loads up the mountain for the clients, most keep such a positive attitude even while doing such difficult work. Joseph, Yona, Paul, Calvin, Abubakari, George, and Rashid were our porters and Jospeh even came to the summit with us. All were very kind and of course very strong, most of the time beating us to camp even with more gear and a late start! Monkey adventures as a whole was a great company, they were very professional throughout and clearly have experience when it comes to the logistics of transportation, climbing, and booking.

I did Kilimanjaro trek and 3 days safari. The guides and other crew from monkey adventures made the trek even more awesome and helped me to the end during the summit day especially when the going got tough and rough, thanks to my guides Chris and Nick. The food prepared by the chef was beyond imagination for a place where its usually hard to get good food. Then i had so much of fun at the Safari with my guide Devis. He had so much knowledge about the parks and animals and helped me learn to spot animals and birds from great distances. All I have to say is i am glad i found monkey adventures as they get your dreams about nature exploration come true. Keep up the great work team!! Hope to ride with your guys again!!

I traveled with a friend from Poland, and together, we undertook the Machame route over 6 days on Mount Kilimanjaro. The experience was truly amazing as we hiked our way up to almost 6000 meters above sea level. Being accompanied by guides Albert and Chengu made the journey even more special. They provided invaluable assistance, taught us some Swahili words, and took great care of us throughout the climb. I highly recommend choosing them as guides and summit porter for your Kilimanjaro adventure! :)

Treck to Kilimanjaro was an amazing experience. Everything was prepared by Monkey Adventures very well. We had a great guides Alber, Paul and Alan who have a lot of experience and knowledge about the trek. Provided food was also very nice. I strongly recommend this trek with Monkey Adventures. :)

Absolutely amazing experience! We went as a group of 3 with George and Emanuel as guides. They were were brilliant! Very experienced and informative.. looked after us amazingly. We had Ramadan as a chef and Said as the waiter- food was fantastic-diet well balanced. Said was always on time and very friendly. The rest of the porters were like machines carrying heavy loads and always in a good mood and positive attitude. Thank you Monkey Travel and the whole team for unforgettable experience!! I would highly recommend to use their services! They know what they do!

Monkey Travel was great in helping the 6 of us make it all the way to the top during our 6day Machame Route trek. Guides Albert, Nick, and Chris were helpful, friendly, and motivating; yet also personal and fun as we made sure to enjoy our time on the mountain. The porters & chef/waiter were great; setting up camp and making sure things were clean + in place. Meals were great and the team was understanding when we all didn't feel 100%. Would suggest a 6day (or maybe 7-day, to get that extra rest!) trek with them if you are interested!

I summitted Kilimanjaro this week on the six day machame route with Monkey Adventures and it was an amazing experience. there was beautiful hiking, we saw different plants and animals in the different zones we walked through everyday and my guide, George, had all kinds of interesting things to tell me about. The veiws were incredible. Each day, my amazing team carried my stuff, set up my tent, and brought me multi-course meals to my tent for me and made sure I had everything I needed. George let me know what was coming each day and made sure i was prepared. The summit night was incredibly challenging for me, but successful and very worth it! I would not have made it without George, who did everything for me including carrying my day pack, telling me what layers to add or reduce, making my hand/feet warmers work and putting my shoes back on for me, feeding me tea, and putting vaseline on my face for me because my hands were in mittens. At the summit, i had someone random take pictures for me (because george was in some of the pictures) and george looked at them and told me to get more pictures because the picture cut off the sign and had people in the background. I appreciated this attention to detail SO MUCH because i was not able to care in the moment but i would have been so bummed to not have a great photo to post. Everyone on my team truly took care of me and made it a fantastic experience.

This is the first time I’ve climbed Kilimanjaro, but not my first time climbing (Rainier, Shasta, and many others in the Cascades, Olympics, Sierras, and San Bernardino mountain ranges). My experience with Monkey Adventures was GREAT, from the beginning. They were attentive to my email inquires, and answered all my questions in good timing (considering the substantial time difference). The price was cost-effective and reasonable. The BEST thing about my experience with Monkey Adventures was my crew (Guide, Cook, Waiter, and 3 porters). I insisted on eating with them in the cook tent every night, and most mornings. I took the initiative to learn their names, all about their families, and personal lives. We talked and laughed at length and I can honestly say I have 6new friends. The climb, itself, was EPIC… but what made it so was the team. Of course I summited and it was spectacular! But doing it WITH the relationships I developed along the way was the best part. My Guide (Eli): Words don’t do him justice. He was attentive, knowledgeable, caring, wise, funny, animated, energetic, and patient. He has climbed “Kili” more than 100 times, and it showed. I love to learn and he taught me many of the local plants, the ecology, more Swahili, and even some new (great) climbing practices. He is now a true friend and compatriot. Thank you Eli! The food: to put it into one word, AMAZING. My cook (Kelvin) was spectacular. Made everything from scratch! It was flavorful, healthy, colorful, and the quantities were HUGE. Thank you Kelvin! My Waiter: I didn’t know I would have a “waiter”! But this guy (Amani) basically took care of all my needs whenever I was in camp. Delivering my tea and wash basin to my tent every morning and evening. Ensuring my personal items were in my tent upon arriving at the camps. Helping me hang-dry any items that needed it. And much more. It was the small things that made home so special. Thank you Amani! My Porters were the REAL heros (Kibo, Daniel, and Rasheed)! They carried all my gear, their gear, the tents, the food, and anything else we all had. They hustled and NEVER complained. They packed up the camp within minutes of me and my guide’s departure, passed us on the trail, and had everything set up for my arrival at the next camp. They were amazing. Thank you guys for your hard work and all the laughs we enjoyed. Thank you Kibo, Danny, and Rasheed! One more thing… my team (we named ourselves “Team Champion”) was compassionate. Another trekker whose guide service was not adequate (not providing the promised [and NEEDED] food, services, guidance, etc.) was in dire need. We befriended this other trekker, and my team and I ensured that she was well taken care of, in spite the lack of food and services her guide service provided. I NEVER heard one complaint. Not one. Their compassion was heartfelt and without pause. I KNOW that this other trekker would not have been successful in her climb and summit without my team stepping up and taking care of her. The Monkey Adventure team were incredible from the moment we landed at the airport until they dropped us off at the hotel at the end of the trek. Our guides Michael and Dula were amazing. They were incredibly fun, personable, and knowledgeable about the mountain and the region. The food was delicious and nutritious. Our camp was always set up for us when we arrived, with high quality tents awaiting us. We enjoyed fun banter with the porters who were all very kind and professional (and incredibly strong). I couldn't recommend Monkey Adventures more. They were terrific in all aspects.

Had a great trip joining a group for the Machame trek. It's a tough mountain for acclimatization, but Gasper, Eddie and Arnold got our whole group to the top safely! Also greatly helped by Baraka, who was my personal help for summitnight. All staff were exceptional and went above and beyond to make us comfortable and keep our spirits high through the whole trek. Gasper was really good at recognizing when someone needed extra help, or to go ahead, or drop behind, which was a big part in all of us making it. Can definitely recommend.

It was magical! And we loved the mountain as much as we loved the people we met there... An excellent team! - Chris, Aiubu and Niki - the guides and all the porters who carried our luggage - ready to be there in every moment we needed them, trying to guess every little thing we need even before we knew it. We already miss the coffee they offered us in the morning at the tent, and all the rich breakfast, lunch and dinner , cooked especially for us there on the mountain. Every time that we were arriving in the camp, the tent was already seat, hot water for wash and then hot tea, hot soup and everything... all offered so naturally and kindly. Very professional, monitorising our health every evening - the exam of saturation -:) ... they offered us so much support to get on the top. Always paying attention to us when we were ascending and even singing for us in order to encourage and give us strenght. And essential... pole pole. Something that we've lost and we would like to keep from Kilimanjaro and from the special people we met. We recommend them with all our heart.

We had the most unbelievable experience going up Kilimanjaro mountain through the Machame route. The Monkey Adventures team was simply amazing. Taking great care of us, being extremely professional, friendly and full of energy all the time which definitely helped to make it to the top. I strongly recommend asking for Dennis and Emanuel (and their team). They are the two guides we were lucky to have on our adventure. Thanks to them we made it to the top before the sunrise. I'm really glad I choose Monkey Adventures for both the 6 day Machame Hike and 4 day Safari, the experience was great and I can't thank the whole team enough. Thank you to Gasper and Eddie along with the cook and porters, they were amazing and attended to all our needs. The experience of the hike was challenging and at some points I really struggled especially on the summit night, I would not have made it to the top without Eddie and Abduli - thank you from the bottom of my heart! This will be an experience I will never forget. The Safari with Banana was amazing and such an unforgettable experience. Banana knew all the right spots to check and to see the animals that are quite hard to find and see. I was lucky enough to see a leopard with it's kill in the tree and a rhino! Where do I start? Probably with thanking our unbeatable guides and amazing support crew. Our guides were Conrad, Raja, Nelson, Aminiel, Jovin, Fadhili and Issaya. If you aren’t going with any one of them you are missing out! Not only did we have a great time and feel completely supported, but we were also able to learn about their culture and share life experiences. They are truly a special team. I would not have made it to the top without them. The porters and cooks amazed me with what they could carry and cook. The whole experience was amazing. The summit day was a challenge but our entire 15 person group made it to the summit! We are very thankful to our crew for an experience of a lifetime!

What an incredible experience of a lifetime! I am so grateful to have chosen Monkey Adventures as our guide service for both our Kilimanjaro Hike and Safari. We had a group of 15 friends who were all able to summit Kilimanjaro, thanks to the support of our guides and porters. We had an absolutely amazing time doing 6 day hike of Kilimanjaro. Everyone from our guides Rama and Mudy, to our chef Christian to all of the porters and every single member of the team made us feel so welcome. Machame route is beatiful and full of adventures. All the staff took care of us. We had the perfect acclimatization thanks to the help and support of our guides and porters. The guides are prepared and well equipped, as well as the rest of the crew.

We just had the perfect team! Everything was vey good organized, from the start of our booking, the correspondence, the payment to the tents, the food, the water, everything was perfect. Monkey Adventures provided us the best team to climb Kilimanjaro! From the bottom to the summit we felt save and we think that is the most important while you are on the mountain. I don't think that we could have been in better hands. Our 6 days on Machame Route was hard, but better than we expected.
