Booked this as the first activity for an all-girls trip. Some of us were worried about starting out so early after arriving in Cartagena so late the night before. Well, it was worth it...and more! Once we got to the yacht club, we met with Abel, who was a gracious host. Then we met our crew, Johnathan and Rueben. On board and out to sea we went with our music playing and drinks flowing. Our first stop was magical as it was the perfect spot to take a dip and swim around. Then we sailed to have lunch on La Champetua, which was divine. Johnathan and Rueben could have left us there as we already felt so satisfied...but there was more to see. We finished off the day with a couple more hours of sailing, swimming, and taking in the majestic views. Couldn't have asked for a better start to our trip. Highly recommend this!

I celebrated my birthday with friends! We had an excellent experience from pick-up to drop-off. The boat was very clean, well-kept, spacious (15 people), and fast! Highly recommended!

The driver and other boat attendant were amazing! This trip consisted of stopping at 3 islands. 1 was a place where you could get out and swim, 1 was a party scene with other boats parked, where you could eat(very expensive but tasty) food, jet ski, etc….and one was a completely zen, quiet island. It was just awesome, we couldn’t ask for a better experience.

Coming from hot and sunny Miami, I recommend this tour 100%! The communication I had with the Arrecife team from before to trip to after the trip exceeded my expectations. We went on the red cushioned chairs boat named Arrecife and it was comfortable for a group of 7 plus the 2 staff members. We chose this boat because it has more shade than the other ones and let me tell you, the Cartagena sun is much stronger than the one in Miami. The staff on the boat were so accommodating and always provided great service and boy did he know how to drive. He tried to avoid the waves so the boat didn’t move that much. Also, we bought snack/drinks at the near by market, Carulla, and they provided ice and had snorkel gear/noodle sticks for us to use while we were there. We also all speak Spanish so maybe that’s another reason why they communicated so much with us but it was such a great beach day. The water in all the islands were beautiful. However, the only down side is the restaurant where we had lunch. We totally understand the situation and limitations of eating in an island. We ate by the water but the food and drinks were not top notch. Nonetheless, this tour is an idea day trip when you’re in Cartagena!

I want to say thank you so much to Alex and his whole team. I came out to Cartagena for my bday in Jan 2022 and my family and I had an amazing time. Alex was very responsive, gave recommendations based on the experience I wanted and he was cool. I was coming from Brooklyn and Alex made sure he followed up with all we discussed. Yes, once again we chose Alex's services, this time we used the Arrecife boat which is like new, the crew as always very friendly and helpful, this time we visited the Rosario Islands, there we could swim (at the moment it is allowed) since we could not get off the boat in cholon or blue beach because it is not allowed, however we spent an excellent day in the Rosario islands, there we visited the pool, the plane, and caño raton. I definitely recommend Arrecife boats for their excellent service, we will surely return next year!

I would highly recommend Arrecife Boat Rentals. The boat we rented was exactly like the photos provided to us. The crew were friendly and very professional. Alex was super responsive, he took care of everything ! If you want to visit the rosario Island you have to do it with Arrecife ! Thanks Alex!

As previous reviewers have suggested, Alex and his crew delivered a really nice 8hr. day at a fair price. The boat (Crimson) was a 39' speedboat with Captain (Jaz) and first mate that our family really enjoyed. You want to start early in the day as the water gets rough in the afternoon. A couple of thoughts: 1. Alex did provide water and snorkel masks but you will likely want to bring your own provisions as well. There are a couple of early stops with some nice snorkeling before the water gets rough later in the day. 2. The boat has a head which was cleaner than many bathrooms ashore. 3. At several of the stops there are locals to "assist" or sell you things. This began out on the water where we dropped anchor to snorkel and continued all day. It can't be avoided, just part of the culture so offer a friendly "no gracias" and they will move on. 4. Our lunch stop was on a quiet private hotel beach with a public beach right next door. Although private, it really isn't since locals freely stroll the sand and try to sell their goods and services right alongside the hotel employees. You can have the local "amigo de el capitan" fetch you food and drinks from the public beach (they carry laminated menus in their pockets and indeed, the Pina Colada served in a pineapple was amazing) or you can order from the hotel waiter. It was a little confusing so we had local drinks and hotel food which was delicious.

Alquilé el CRIMSON para el cumpleaños de mi esposo la semana pasada y no puedo recomendar Arrecife Boat Rentals lo suficiente. Alex fue paciente, amable, profesional y extremadamente servicial. El barco estaba en perfectas condiciones y tiene tripulación era genial. Pasamos un tiempo increíble y esperamos nuestra próxima visita a Cartagena. Alex superó todas las expectativas.
