Great tour with friendly and highly informative guide. The trip to Lucerne through the Albis Pass was amazing, as was Lucerne itself. We’re very happy to have booked this tour out of Zurich.

We loved the boat tour and walking along all of the bridges. The town was lovely everywhere we turned there was something lovely to see. We enjoyed the tour on the way to Lucerne and then enjoyed the time we had to really see what we wanted to focus on.

Seamless bus ride pick up began with very organized tour guides and bus driver. Detailed directions and information fueled my confidence as a solo traveler. Staff enthusiasm for the splendor of the area was infectious.

We visited the day before the carnival. Some attractions were unavailable. In addition, the cruise that was recommended was not running in February. Lastly, the gondola was not running. Many things were not within control of the tour company.

The town of Lucerne was quite nice, definitely worth the visit. The tour up to Mount Pilatus was an extra bonus. The tour guide was imformative and keep it interesting the whole time.

Old Town in Lucerne and the Lion Monument were impressive as well as all of the photo opportunites with the alps in the background.

On advice from reception staff at our hotel we did a trip by train to Lucerne. Swiss trains are very efficient, clean, comfortable and travel to Lucerne every half hour and on the return. They leave on the nominated time; no delay so be at the platform a good few minutes before the departure time. We travelled first class though second class looked just as good. It is expensive in Switzerland for all things including the cost of trains for tourist. We enjoyed our trip, found everyone happy to help with directions etc. There are no hop on/off bus type tours in Lucerne. There was a small tourist information group outside the train station where we were told of a tour which is not in the city centre. It was a fair walk and when we arrived there, we found that we would have a 2-hour wait, no actual site, just a sign near where buses park. We did not wait. We had lunch at the Irish Pub on the river side, great fish & chips & good service.

Take the self run tour. You will need the 5 to 7 hours to do justice for the magical & beautiful city of Lucerne. Guide sets you up well with a good instructive map of the city. Our fine lady guide , Anke ,was so informative , instructive& entertaining. Our lady driver , Berta, was more than an equal in dexterity to any of the fine male drivers we have experienced in Europe. A very good , well run & professional company. All went like clockwork from start to finish. Cheaper than booking a train.

I had heard stories about Lucerne so was excited to see it. When I arrived, the day was sunny and perfect and made for a glassy reflection off the lake. I visited the main streets, the wooden bridge, the church and it looked great and took some great snaps on shore and on the lake. I had a bonus free trip, part way for another groups excursion up the mountain at near Engleberg. Thankfully train ran from local station back to Lucerne getting back in time for my boat cruise ! Thanks to Anna for being a great guide and our bus driver, big ups ! Hit up Best of Switzerland Tours, they know how to give you a good experience!

Lucerne is an absolutely beautiful city! The views of the water and mountains were amazing. The town is so quaint with lots of shopping and restaurants along the water. The tour guide spoke during the ride there giving us interesting information about Switzerland. Then we had lots of free time to explore the city on our own. My teen daughter and I had a great time. I highly recommend this tour!

Beautiful day trip. The lake boat trip was very relaxing however nothing major to see so for those who do not wish to spend the extra I would say you are not missing too much. The day can be easily spent walking around this lovely town and seeing the other points if interest.

I need a refund. I was put out of the bus in Lucerne and left to wonder around by myself for 6 hours.. I thought I was getting a guided tour.

The bus was old and dirty. It had a weird smell. This tour is just transport from Zurich to Lucerne so it this is what you are looking for then this will work

It was fun to explore Lucerne but we had 6 hours there and it just felt like such a long day. We did sign up for the lake cruise and it was just a boat ride out of the lake, it was nice cause it took up an hour and the breeze was so nice since it was hot outside, but it wasn’t super spectacular. Lucerne was so beautiful though!!

Very expensive for what was provided. Just a simple bus ride to Lucerne city and back was not the deal. We were expecting much more out of the trip. It's a rip off. I bought 4 tickets for $67 just for a ride, could have used train or simple bus for far cheaper price. Not worth it.
