Driver met us at the train station which was greatly appreciated. The driver was very knowledgeable about Matera and we enjoyed the tour. My one criticism is that the driver was continually watching his watch to see how long we took which made you feel pressured and not relaxed to enjoy the old city. I am sure it’s not the tour guides fault but the pressure put in them from the company. It would be better to allow more time so the tour can be appreciated.

This tour was incredible. Antonio, our guide gave us so much information about the old Matura and how it is today. His grandparents actually had been living in the old Matera so his information was very genuine. I think this tour is a must if you want to get the most out of this amazing city

This tour was great - Vito our guide was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about Matera as his grandparents had lived there. When he found out my partner was a James Bond fan he took us to additional places along the way - he couldn’t have done enough to make the tour enjoyable - I would definitely recommend!

Francesco was a passionate Materan with a wealth of historical and local information- and so much fun! We stopped at a couple of pre-arranged (and free) tourist sites that gave an excellent overview of Matera’s long history. Highly recommended for an excellent overview of the wealth of Matera’s sights.

Perfect tour, makes so much easier to visit the area in particular if the sun is very strong during the day and you don't want to walk long distances under the sun. The guide was clear and friendly, the explanation interesting and detailed.

Antonio ci ha accompagnato con la sua apecar in giro per i sassi fermandosi per farci vedere gli scorci più belli e farci scattare delle foto. il giro è stato fenomenale anche perchè fatto al tramonto, quindi abbiamo potuto vedere i panorami con la luce migliore e poi al tramonto con la luci accese. Un presepe!Nel giro lungo abbiamo visitato anche una casa grotta bellissima e ben ricostruita e i sassi in miniatura - tutto bellissimo. Abbiamo visitato anche la chiesa con un soffitto ligneodipinto bellissimo. Anche mia figlia di 4 anni si è divertita molto e quando vedeva Antonio in giro per Matera correva a salutarlo. Abbiamo usufruito del tur nella città antica (Sassi) con Francesco alla guida del calessino. Francesco è preparatissimo, capace di trasmettere la storia e la cultura del luogo. Consigliamo vivamente il tour lungo che consente di effettuare due soste di cui non voglio anticiparvi nulla se non il fatto che sono un ottimo complemento alla comprensione. Ringraziamo Francesco e la sua disponibilità.

Ci ho portato il mio fidanzato che è pugliese per fargli scoprire i Sassi, ma non immaginavo che questo tour avrebbe sorpreso anche me!
