Wonderful time. The gardens were incredible. Delicious lunch at restaurant. Our guide Camille was amazing. She made the tour fun and fascinating I would highly recommend this tour and ask for Camille. She was very knowledgable and did a great job.

Our tour began in Amboise near to our hotel. We were coming off a week long river cruise that we thoroughly enjoyed. However we were “peopled out.” The cruise required constant interaction with a group of 160 people. This tour was small. Just us and three wonderful companions. This allowed everyone breathing room to see the sights as they would like. Our guide Alex (and her sidekick Steve) were always there to answer any questions. The tour included several stunning chateau’s and a unique cave wine tour. Alex’s knowledge and input helped make this tour come to life for our history deficient minds. This was a tour well worth the price.

Our tour guide Nicholas was amazing! So funny and knowledgeable. Our only issue with the trip was that we didn’t realize you could book each part of the trip separately which cut into an hour of the day dropping and picking up a new couple, it also shortened our time at the second castle because we had to pick up lunch within that timeframe.

This was tour that could be split into two half-days, but we were glad to have taken the full day. Dimitry was a great tour guide: very knowledgeable and personable. The morning was spent touring two chateaux and Dimitry knew every historic detail. It was genuinely fascinating. After lunch at a small bakery near the Chateau Villandry, we transitioned to the wine tour. At the two wineries, Dimitry allowed the vintners to do most of the talking, and we all enjoyed tasting a wide range of Vouvray wines. Dimitry did take us through some vineyards and described the vine growing process. I highly recommend the whole tour.

This was a second day tour with our outstanding guide, Sophie. She shared a wealth of knowledge with us through magnificent gardens, stunning chateaux and exceptional wineries. We were all so impressed by Sophie and the owners of the wineries who shared their history and, of course, delicious wines! Another beautiful day with Sophie!

Dimitri was an excellent guide very knowledgeable on wine and the château’s we visited. The wines we tasted were great as well as the beautiful garden we toured.

Lovely tour of a château and a beautiful garden, plus two small wineries. Dimitri was very friendly and knowledgeable. The château was not as grand as some of the bigger ones, but the gardens, on the other hand, were spectacular!

The visit of the Chateau de Villandry was a highlight of the day. Beautiful gardens. Le Chteau de l"Islette was very pretty too with a nice romantic lunch near the river. Thanks Alex for all the explanations given on that day.

This is a perfect trip if you want to see Loire Valley countryside. The 2 chateaux we visited are Beautiful (Villandry) and Peaceful (L’Islette), and especially very few tourists. The 2 cave wineries are very unique and you got to talk to the owner in one of them. All in all, it’s a perfect trip; not too long, yet you get various experiences. On top of that , our guide Demitri (sp?) was exceptional. Very accomodating, pleasant and very knowledgeable. It’s a must do tour.

This was a really delightful tour. Our guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The day consisted of a good mix of activities. My hard to please and ever so slightly spoiled kids loved it. Just the right combination of culture, food and wine! Villandry is s gorgeous castle but not too big if you are with recalcitrant children. It has lovely gardens. I would 100% recommend this tour.

We spent two days in the Loire Valley with A la Francaise, on both the Chambord and Chenonceau tour and the Villandry and Vouvray tour. Both tours were fantastic and gave us a great introduction to the Loire Valley. The beautiful castles and gardens, small tour size, extremely knowledgeable guides, and special touches like lunches at private chateaux all made for an unforgettable experience, as well as a great value. We highly recommend A la Francaise and hope to return for more of their tours in the future. Daphne in particular was a wonderful guide and shared so much information about the region. A must-do in the Loire Valley!

We spent an absolutely wonderful day with our tour guide Agathe in the Loire Valley, France. We visited 2 beautiful Chateau and were amazed at the beauty and charm of the architecture and the gardens. Agathe was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and kept us interested and entertained! She set up a lovely lunch on the grounds of one of the Chateau - so cute and romantic! In the afternoon we visited 2 beautiful wineries and were treated to wine tastings and food pairing along with interesting information & stories from the winemakers themselves! Overall it was a wonderful day trip, great value and Ip highly recommend this experience. A shout out to Agathe as our lovely tour guide!

We had the pleasure of meeting Daphne who took us to visit Villandry (which was beautiful) then onto another chateau for lunch-met the owner of the chateau. Beautiful grounds for just hanging about and enjoying scenery. Off to wine tasting in Vouray. I learned more about the grapes from the region and will be trying more wine from area - we found some at our local market upon returning home. The cave at the next winery was awesome! The wines very good (as well as the snacks) Good company on tour. Its much better to leave all the arrangements and driving in someone else’s hands. Daphne is a pro and funny too. We were happy to picked up and dropped off close to our base I would definitely recommend the tour
