We just did 12 great dives in March with Ruben's team and had a great time! The reef is in great condition, there were huge schools of fish and lots of life everywhere you looked. Everyone on the team was professional and a lot of fun. Our gear was set up on the boat in the morning and changed to new tanks for us between dives so there was nothing for us to do but enjoy the diving. Adrian was our dive master and he had a great eye for finding scorpion fish! We saw more on this trip than we have seen anywhere. We are planning on going back again next year and will definitely dive with Ruben's team again.

My two teen boys completed their open water certification with Dive with Ruben and I completed my reactivate refresher during our visit in March. Ruben and Abi were such a pleasure to communicate with when planning our visit and in person when we arrived. We had such an awesome crew for the pool session and two days of dives, Gema, our wonderful instructor, Oscar and Yamil our smiling and helpful captain and boat crew. Close and convenient dive sites with lots of marine life including turtles and rays! Gema always took us where the action was, for our best dives yet. Thank you so much to this dive shop and their awesome owner and staff, we will be back!

We had an amazing experience with this dive shop. Owner, Ruben, was there everyday and was intent on making our experience fantastic. We came with a referral and were able to finish an open water certification with ease. Ruben made sure to let us know when the conditions weren't going to be very good, so we wouldn't go out on days with poor visibility. He really made us feel welcome and appreciated. The dive instructors were warm, knowledgeable, and safe. Our dive parties were small and personalized. They worked to point out interesting creatures throughout all dives. I used the equipment at the shop, and everything worked well and was well taken care of. I absolutely would and hope to dive with this shop again. Choose this little shop!

Dive with Ruben is truly deserving of the Best of the Best award. This shop is kind, professional, and fun. They put people first, and really care about helping us have truly wonderful experience. Ruben is always around: having conversations with customers, sharing his experience and expertise, and leading his team with a really inspiring leadership style. My wife and I stayed at the Arenas for a week of diving (including finishing up my open water certification). We were treated like family. The shop knows what divers want: safety, kindness, and fun. I can’t recommend it enough! If you’re in the Yucatán and you want to dive, definitely dive with Ruben!

Great diving experience! I did 6 dives with them over 3 days, we saw lots of fish, coral, rays, a wreck, and even a nurse shark! The team there really takes care of you. I also felt safe leaving my equipment with them and they had everything ready for me the next day. Every day was well run, the boat crew and DMs (Tema and Adrian) were safe and professional. They explained each dive site and the dive plan. This is normally a 45 minute group dive with everyone descending/ascending at once. It was a lot of fun and I would definitely dive with them again!

It was a smooth dive thanks to the wonderful teamwork with the captain. Being a beginner, I had a quick refresher and went on two fun dives. The tanks and other equipment were transported by the captain and Ruben, making boarding a breeze. After the first dive, Ruben asked, "Do you want to see a lot of fish?" and then declared, "Let's go to the aquarium." The next dive was like being in a real-life aquarium created by nature. The colorful corals were beautiful. We saw schools of fish and a lobster family. I won't forget the giant Napoleon fish hiding among the rocks. After the first dive, they provided a light snack. I got an apple and water, which were delicious.About this dive shop: It's a small dive shop run by Ruben and his wife, Abi. I communicated with Abi via Whatsup for any questions. Abi always replied, and there was no deceit or pushy sales, making the interaction smooth. Since Whatsup works over Wi-Fi, we could make phone calls, allowing for same-day bookings and weather checks. They offer a pickup service if you book in advance. We dove Cenotes and a wreck with Dive with Ruben. The crew is amazing and the service is outstanding. Ruben is in the office in town and is really great to talk with with and is fair on pricing and availability. We got blown out a few days but he made sure we were still able to get our dives in. Our guide was Adrian and he was very knowledgeable and fun. Our captain was Oscar for the boat dives and knows the waters well. Thanks also to Armando who was our driver to Cenotes, set up our gear and was all around a helpful set of hands with anything we needed. They make the dive experience easy and fun and it’s basically valet diving. Highly recommend and will use again.

Loved this experience! Reben, his sweet wife, Gemma, Dominique and the Captain made us feel like family. If in that area would certainly love to see and dive with them again. They even spoiled us a little:) who doesn't like being pampered?

An excellent double dive experience! Ruben and the team take good care of you. Our dive instructor Carolina was very safety conscious and attentive during the dives, clear and thorough in her communication, and easy going. Our boat driver was really helpful with gear prep & support. Lucky enough to see sharks, huge moray eel, a family of lobsters and heaps of fish and coral. Highly recommend.

Dive with Ruben is small dive operation in Puerto Morales. The dive master, Adrian, was fantastic. He was knowledgeable and personable. Oscar was the captain and knew the water like the back of his hand. Will dive with him again.

Wonderful dive experience. Kudos to the office staff, communication via email and phone was excellent! Emails were answered quickly. Our map app lead us astray, but the staff helped us navigate Puerto Morelos over the phone. The dive master Adrian was professional and enthusiastic. He learned our experience levels (I was the junior member of 4 divers at 300 dives), searched for critters for us to photograph, checked on us unobtrusively, and only asked that we signal him at half a tank. I had the impression that he catered the dive to the experience level of the group. I think he would be a good instructor for new divers. The reef is at about 40 feet, which means great light for photos, and it is great for having lengthy bottom times! All the usual suspects are on the reef: Corals, eels, gorgonians, lobster, butterflyfish, parrotfish, snappers, boxfish, angelfish, etc. Quite a few juvenile fish could be found, like the tiny young yellowtail damselfish with neon blue spots. Aquarium was an apt name for the first dive site. We have some great photos from these dives. The star of the show was Captain Oscar, who lifted our BCD/tanks out of the water so we could walk up the boat ladder without all the extra weight. Cookies and fruit were provided. We started to change to new tanks for the second dive, but discovered Captain Oscar had already changed them when he brought the BCDs on board! After the last dive, Adrian broke down the gear and stowed it on the ride back to shore. They carried the gear off the boat, carted it to the shop, and the shop crew rinsed it for us. This was an excellent dive operation, and I can highly recommend these folks. We are considering visiting Puerto Morelos next time we go to Cozumel, just to dive with them. I’m from the states and had an awesome time diving with this group. Everyone that worked there was kind and respectful and spoke English. Adrian was absolutely fantastic as our dive master. I did four dives total and wish I could have done more. The wreck dive was my favorite, and Adrian made me feel comfortable, safe and informed. He has a wealth of knowledge about the area and all the local marine life. I must say I did get low on air down there chasing after a spotted eagle ray and Adrian made sure I was okay, linking arms and having me breathe from his regulator. I wouldn’t dive with any other group! They were also very communicative via WhatsApp. Great experience overall!

Just Returned from a double tank dive with Rubens Dive Centre Fantastic set up, crew and organisation. I have dived all over the world with more than a 1000 dives "under my belt (weight)". I brought some of my own kit, but in reality the standard of all of the equipment, crew, boat and the entire team was up there with the best. Simply fantastic and amazing Thank you Mark Fazakerley

Great company easy to communicate with via email. They provided R/T transport from resort which was very timely. Ali was a great dive guide and Capt Lucky was also very good. Highly recommend dive with Rueben they will not disappoint. Dove with them 2 days and had a great experience.

My husband and I, who are certified divers, haven't dove in three years due to the pandemic. We traveled to Puerto Morelos with our 16 year-old grandson who was interested in trying his first dive. When we met Ruben and explained that we wanted a refresher for us and a Discover Scuba for our grandson, he organized the package to cover it all in one. Alan was our Dive Master and he was phenomenal in explaining concepts to our grandson. We did our skills at the beach in the shallow water before heading out for our first dive with Alan and Captain Ricardo. Our grandson had trouble equalizing and Alan was incredibly patient and focused on him enjoying his dive. By the second dive he had it all figured out. When I went into the water on my second dive, my earring came out. These are earrings I don't remove for sentimental reasons. As soon as I told Alan what happened, my husband and I descended quickly to look for the earring while Alan helped my grandson descend. The next thing I knew, the captain was off the boat and helping us search for the earring in a giant bed of seagrass. When we found the earring (a miracle), he took it back up to the boat and held it until I returned from the dive. He also asked for my camera at the beginning of the trip and took a dozen pictures of us. My grandson had a blast and we were so happy to get back to diving. Thank you Ruben, Alan and Ricardo for an exceptional experience. 5+ stars!

My husband and I are experienced, advanced divers & did 5 days of scuba with Ruben's team. Each day was better than the previous day! We highly recommend them: everyone was knowledgeable, helpful & professional; the gear was high quality and well maintained, but most importantly, the entire team was super friendly and immediately made us feel like family!

Second time diving with them and just as in the past it was a perfect experience. Divemaster and captain were both great and super helpful. Aside from the easy process of booking and going on the dive is also that when you call them in advance they are always very receptive to any requests of what you would like in terms of type of dive or location. I certainly would recommend them and we'll dive with them again next time I am in the area

Was in Puerto Morelos for a 2 week vacation with the family. After a bit of internet search, we settled on Dive with Ruben. We did a snorkel tour the first day followed by a two tank dive at the local reef (all of us are certified) followed in a couple of days by a two tank dive in a cenote. I must say that all the activities exceeds expectations. Friendly staff, good equipment, and very reasonable price. Lots of life at the reef including a nurse shark, eels and a large sea turtle. Cenote dive was incredible despite lack of wildlife. I don’t have experience with other local dive centres in PS, but would use Ruben’s again. Special thanks to Jemma and Adrian on the cenote tour.
