Overall this tour was a pretty good experience and we tried some great food. The tour is divided into meals- breakfast, lunch, dinner, piano, dessert, so you end up having several large plates of food vs. many small bites. Unfortunately, the guide seemed a bit unenthusiastic and distracted, maybe she was having an off day, but it took away from the experience. I expected to learn a lot about the history and influences of Peruvian cuisine, and this really didn’t happen much. I left feeling like I’d eaten plenty but learned little, which was disappointing.

Our Lima food tour took place on April 11. We met our guide, Marcos, at 9:30 a.m. at Plaza San Francisco. It was a group tour, but we lucked out because it was just my husband and me. For the next four hours, Marcos took us on a magical ride by foot around the hip Barranco neighborhood. We tasted chocolates, exotic fruits, aromatic coffee, chicken empanada, lomo saltado, anticuchos, ceviche, Pisco sour, and gelato. My husband and I enjoyed our walk through Bohemian Barranco and were amazed by its colorful street art. The star of our tour was Marcos. His passion and knowledge of Lima's cuisine were infectious. I highly recommend the tour, and hopefully, you'll be lucky enough to have Marcos as your guide.

Marcos provided an in-depth explanation of Peruvian cuisine and went out of his way to ensure I had a diverse and memorable experience. Each dining location was unique and offered a variety of food and drinks. Marcos's efforts were truly exceptional.

This was a great way to spend a long layover in Lima. Valeria took us to 3 different restaurants in the Barranco neighborhood. Everything was delicious. I would highly recommend.

This tour is highly recommended for all foodies curious about Lima's local cuisine. It starts with a small introduction and tasting of local Peruvian fruits and vegetables followed by a short walk around the neighborhood to different restaurants. Everything was delicious! The pisco sour and ice cream at the end were particular highlights. guide Valeria was really nice, well conversant in English, and patiently answers any questions you have along with giving restaurant recommendations. Our only regret was not booking the full day tour!

We had such an amazing time in Barranco with Dulce our guide. Everything was perfect! The food, the people, the visit… and the guide! This is the best way to discover the most beautiful area of Lima.

We enjoyed our food tour in pretty Barranco, Lima, with Jimena and thought the food and drinks were of a high standard. Jimena was a great guide and spoke excellent English; she also had a strong command of local gastronomy and history. I liked the different establishments we visited and, in particular, the semi-interactive elements of the tour when we went into restaurants’ kitchens to observe the chefs preparing the dishes we would then eat — e.g the cows’ hearts and ceviche. The ice cream served at the end of the tour was great, and I enjoyed trying the native fruit, lucuma. There was only one other person on our tour, which you can decide for yourselves is a good or bad thing — for us we would’ve enjoyed doing a bit more socialising than was possible, but it’s good that the tour wasn’t cancelled owing to the small party size.

Tour with delicious food and prep, as well as lots of sights and history of the area. It was just us and our guide, so great. A little awkward to get to in Barranco, but well worth the effort. We did basically four meals at four restaurants and the oldest pub in Barranco. Just us and our guide! She was excellent!

Our guide, Valeria, was great, knowledgeable, and fun. She was able to answer food questions as well as other historical and cultural ones. The tour itself took us through wonderful places that offered all the best things Peru has to offer. The chocolate, fruit, coffee, empanadas (really one of the best ever), and the exquisite ceviche, along with all the rest we tasted was a wonderful experience. They accommodated the vegetarian in the group so well. And being taken behind the scenes of restaurants is always fun. We love exploring new places through the prism of food and the people who make it. Recommended

From the moment we met our guide Ceci we knew we would have a great time! From the chocolate tasting, coffee lesson and mini breakfast, lunch, dinner, and desert the food and restaurants were incredible-and we got to tour and learn about Barranco at the same time. We even got to learn how to make Pisco sours-and of course drink as well. Highly recommend!

I can't even begin to express how incredible the whole experience was! From the moment we start until the very end, everything was absolutely mind-blowing. The food preparation was top-notch, and the selection of dishes was out of this world. And let's not forget about the drinks! The coffee, the cacao, and the fruit choices were all so delicious. But what truly made the experience unforgettable was Valeria. She did an amazing job! Her passion for what she does was evident, and her knowledge about the food was impressive. Well done to Valeria for such a fantastic job! You're the best! 😄👏

This food tour with Valeria was nothing short of amazing! I booked a last minute trip to Lima and wanted to enjoy some authentic Peruvian food. This tour definitely did not disappoint. It was very informative and the neighborhoods that you walk through are beautiful. The food is tasty and they are not shy about portion sizes. It was a fun way to try different dishes and meet wonderful people.

This tour surpassed my expectations! The walk was a moderate walk with some steps involved for some of the restaurants. The mix between delicious food and Lima history and art was wonderful. We have lots of food, pisco, and ended with a dessert - try the mango ice cream. Novoa was a terrific guide
