Such a great tour! Highly recommend to do this at the beginning of your trip so you get an idea of what area you liked and where you might want to go back to. Stopped at three locations and walked through barranco. It was just me on the tour (was in Lima for work), but it wasn’t awkward at all. Carlos knew the art history and history of Lima, and I learned so much about the temples, types of food they grow, and he explained some of the things I noticed in the city. I also appreciated that he wanted me to take the perfect bite at each location with a drink pairing - lots of Peruvian pride. Very fun!

Our guide Carlo was awesome! We went to 4 different locations for food and did a lovely walk around Barranco. We enjoyed the small group atmosphere, the food was delicious, and learning more about Peru and Lima. You will be very full by the end!

Well worth the time and the money. Not only to TRY these native dishes, but to get more of the story behind how Peruvians eat, what items at what time of day, and what they like to do with the 4000 varieties of potato related root veggies, that are in just about everything you will sample. Three very high end restaurants, with a staff, expecting us, giving us the best seats in the house to try their menu including one right on the beach, where you can watch the sun set on the surf, one in a former temple and one high end restaurant with a fun sense of including you in the preparation of the meal. Final stop is a dessert sample in a fun part of the city near the bridge of sighs, where you get a chance to walk off all the great food you tried. We had a terrific hostess and would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to see the foody side of Lima.

OMG! Carlos was absolutely phenomenal. He is so knowledgeable and passionate. His love for food and his work shines through. The dishes Carlos picked at every restaurant were amazing! I would recommend this tour a million times over. Leave lots of room for all the delicious food!

Great selection of restaurants. You get a mini tour of the city along with great food. Our guide, Amy was excellent and ordered some tasty dishes while taking into account everyone's dietary restrictions. She had some good stories on the history of Peruvian cuisine. 100% recommend this tour.

Really enjoyed the experience. We visited 4 different restaurants, The first 2 were in great locations and the food was excellent. The last 2 were not so good. But overall a great tour for a solo traveller with hotel pickup and drop off. Our guide Patricia was lovely

The culinary tour was fantastic! Our guide, Patricia, was wonderful and did a great job explaining the various stops and meals. More importantly, she ensured gluten free options and accommodations due to a celiac in our family. We all loved the fact that we hopped from restaurant to restaurant so that we can experience more of Lima.

The gourmet food tour was all it was cracked up to be! Kimberly was an excellent guide who explained all about the food delicacies we were eating and also some Peruvian history along the way. We ate at four different restaurants. All had excellent food and drink and each had it’s own special ambiance. Barranco is alive with energy and would have liked a bit more time to explore the area. I highly recommend this tour while in Lima.

Led by the joyous Amy Makiya we completed an amazing tour of Lima's restaurants and traditional foods. We were treated to Tiradito, Ceviche Classic and Pisco Sours at the beautiful Coastal location of Cala. Next Papas Rellenas, Chicharron de Pollo, Lomo Saltado Anticuchos at the ruins of Huaca Pucllana. My favorite was the unique Xoma Restaurant for Tempura de Calamar Gigante, Cause Limena, Chancho co Pure de Olluco y Chips de Papas Nativas, Held de Acetic de Olive, Alfajor de Lemon and finally dessert at La Bodega Verde with the delicious ending of Pyramid de Lucia, and Chirilatte de Chirimoya. A great group of people, a wonderful guide and a night to remember!
