We decided on a whim to see the Lava show while staying in Vik for 1 night. We are very glad we did. There was a lot of great information with the video and the presenter was very funny. We did have a 2 year old with us and by the end we were wrestling her to stay in the seat but we loved the demonstration. The staff were really friendly.

I wasn’t sure going in because it seemed sort of touristy and cheesy. But it was very cool and I learned a lot from the presenter. He was engaging and entertaining too. A fun stop in Vik for sure!

Awesome presentation! We loved the intimate setting, lots of opportunities to ask questions, and our presenter was very engaging. We also loved that there was both a science and human aspect to this. Very cool!

2024-March. There were lots of parking spaces around the building. We booked and purchased our tickets online. We arrived early and waited in the waiting area where there was lots of seating, a small souvenir shop, a self-photo corner, drinks for purchase, and restrooms. When our time slot was up, we were directed to a room with lots of seating on the left, right, and in front of the lava flume. You will have a good view of the lava anywhere you sit. However, the closer you are to the lava, the hotter you will feel. But it's bearable. Protective glasses were provided and were placed on each seat. The technician spoke, and a video was played through a big screen. After more facts about the lava, lava started flowing on the flume. It hardens like glass by the time it reaches the end of the flume. The technician was very knowledgeable and pleasant. She answered all questions at the end. Even shared a selfie with me! 📸 Photography & Videography were allowed as long as the flash is turned off. This was one of the things you shouldn't miss while visiting Iceland. Incredible experience! The whole family (ranging from 4 - 45 years old) agreed it was one of the best things we saw in Iceland, which included the Aurora, glaciers + a volcano erupting! The presenter was incredible and kept everyone not just interested but enthralled. The lava still managed to steal the show however, being both surprising and fascinating. Everything far exceeded expectations, and what started out as a very expensive way to pass the time during a snow storm, turned into a bargain for one of the best shows we've seen anywhere in the world.

It was an incredible learning experience about the history of volcanoes in Iceland, the geography, and the devastation. The actual flow of lava and learning the cooling process and the end result was very interesting. Strongly recommended.

Amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience during the lava show. The host was friendly and knowledgeable, making it interactive and memorable for all. We even got to go backstage for a behind-the-scenes look at how the lava is created. We left with a new appreciation for the power and beauty of lava in Iceland. This is a must-do if you are in Vik or Reykjavik!

Really informative for the whole family. Our son is super interested in geology and asked a couple of questions. The host was extremely thoughtful and thorough in his answers. They kept it fun. It is, as advertised, very hot, so the advice to wear layers was helpful!

Very informative especially for our ten year old to experience. The guide was funny. A goood activity if you couldnt experience the real thing.

Watching the demonstrator play with the lava was so cool! The video at the beginning was very informative and not boring. The demonstrator knew a lot of about lava and was able to answer some pretty interesting questions from the audience.
