The most informational tour in New Orleans I've been on. History and humor were this tour guide's talent! Exceptional visit with a focus on the females who ran the businesses!

This tour was so well done. Renee was our guide and she very elegantly told about life on the plantation and the many hardships the slaves endured. She knew so much about the family, the plantation buildings, and the general history of the state and plantations. I’d highly recommend this tour. It leaves you with a lot to think about.

Our tour guide Cameron was excellent! He was very knowledgeable about the house, the grounds, and the families and slaves who lived there, and he made it entertaining as well as informative. There were lots of interesting artifacts and details to be seen as well.

Great tour with qualified guide. A must do if you are in New Orleans and interested in slavery. Unfortunately we had to leave the area right after the tour. It would have been nice to stay any longer there to see everything in detail.

This was one of the most informative and interesting tours I have done. While I normally not inclined to enjoy a blow-by-blow explanation of the entire history of a site, I couldn't help but be intrigued by the tales involving this plantation. Our guide, Pam, was incredible. Rather than spewing out names and dates, she created an enticing story around the history of the property. Her presentation was flawless and kept our attention throughout the 1 hour+ tour. She gave new meaning to a "tour guide." I highly recommend taking the time to visit this extremely fascinating destination.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST TOUR! Our tour guide was Pam and I can't say enough wonderful things about her. She made the tour so much fun. Rather than just facts and figures, she wove a story into it all which had us all captivated. I have visited Laura's Plantation in the past and have always enjoyed the visit but this time surpassed any of my other visits. If you go, try to get Pam as your tour guide. She is AMAZING!

We had Renee for our guide and she made this a phenomenal and very educational experience . This was a Creole plantation. The home story, including the slavery was clearly presented.

Excellent and informative tour. Our tour guide, Renee, was personable and appeared extremely knowledgeable. Take note that some tours are offered in French. I mistakenly scheduled one in French, got a very handy text the next morning to verify that that was my intent, and was able to reschedule to an English language tour.

Our guide was excellent. Got a good feel for life back then. Very disturbing, especially seeing how things are going in today’s world.

We chose this plantation over the many others because it tells the history of the family that owned the plantation over the years. The family had a fascinating past, and the stories kept your interest. The house is set up as it would have looked when the family occupied the house. Unfortunately, the house suffered an electrical fire several years ago, but they did a great job with the restoration. The grounds are beautiful and there are two original slave cabins. The guided tours are 80 minutes long. Our guide, Jacqulyn was funny and informative. The price was a little steep, but worth it.

This was not our initial choice of plantation to visit but boy were we glad we ended up here. The guide, I think her name was Pam, was superb. Very interesting, all about the family members and life back then. Like she said, it’s not about the crystal or the furniture, it’s about the people. I would recommend this tour to anyone.

Here you get a fascinating history of the family that built and owned this beautiful property. Instead of the usual whitewashed version, you'll get insight into the interwoven relationships between the owner and slave families. Very well presented, don't miss it.

Very interesting on how your mind can still be enslaved after you have physically been enslaved for yrs.

Amazing historical site with a very informative tour, accurately depicting all the historical events that took place on the plantation. The building itself has been mostly remodeled but it still preserves the historic look and feel. My children learned a lot from this experience.
