It was really amazing to take a part in such stunning experience which is 4day inka trail. I’m really glad that I made it with sam travel, the best guide Miguel, chef Julio (food was really great) and all the rest of the team that helped achieved the goal.

We went on a Inca Trail 4d/3n with SAM Travel Peru in April 2024 and it was just amazing! Our guide Miguel was super knowledgeable, fun and entertaining but also we felt super safe being around him at the same time. He shared so many stories and infos with us and he is the best photographer ever (and know all the best spots for the pics haha). Our cook, Julio, was also so amazing! We got beautiful, delicious (and vegetarian!) food during the whole trip, it just blows my mind away how they managed to prepare such a good food over 3500 m asl!!! The whole team was incredible, such a kind and incredible strong people creat that place, which I really truly recommend to anyone wishing to do a classic Inca Trail! Much love!

Top experience on the Inca trail. Food was outstanding from head chef Edison. Local mountainpeople is giving jobs as porters and they are badass with headporter Santiago. Our guides Gimmy and Ray did brilliant and seemed a lucky pick with humor and responsibility.

My wife and I did the 4 day Trek to Machu Picchu with Sam Travel Perú and tour guide Johnny. Well what can I say, Johnny was the most enthusiastic, energetic, supportive and caring guide. He made our 4 day trek stress free, answering all questions, providing a wealth of knowledge and information and you can genuinely tell he loves his job. He also prides himself on teamwork and creating a family environment ensuring new friends and family are created. Food was also amazing. The chef creates beautiful food, you honestly would not believe you were in the middle of the Inca trail rather a restaurant. The porters are athletes and will leave you in awe. 2 day Lares 2 day Inca trail. Good food, good guides. Nice way to get some hiking done in the big mountains, while also getting to walk into Machu Picchu. The drive from Lares to Ollantaytambo is 3 hours on gravel road, up and down through the mountains. Bring nausea pills

Views were great, hike was amazing. The crew was incredible, did a great job of taking care of us. Chef Timu was a great cook, and Bonnie was an amazing leader. All the porters did a great job of taking care of us and went above and beyond! They made the experience much more enjoyable!

I couldn’t have asked for a better tour experience! Sam Travel Peru has taken us through local and tourist attractions. What i love most is how you (as the traveler) are able to relax. My amazing tour guide Liz Montesinos took care of everything for us! She had our transportations tickets ready, our hotels ready, and taken us to support small family restaurants. Liz was amazing and so open to sharing her Peruvian culture with us. Especially traveling to Peru (and I don’t know how to speak Spanish), it was nice being able to relax and rely on her. Transportation was taken care of. We had a different driver each day who patiently waited for us at each site. Victor was our driver for a majority of the tour and he handled the long drives and winding roads. I felt safe in the car and with our guide. At each destination she explained the history and tied it in with modern times. We went to Machu Picchu and the Rainbow Mountains at earlier times but they were less crowded. Liz is also the best photographer and knows our angles and the best picture spots! We took many pictures. She was patient and very organized. Sam Travel Peru showed me the beauty of Peruvian culture through local restaurants, historic sites, and the kind people we met along the way! 100/10

The Sam Travel team helped made my dream come true. Several elements contributed to the amazing experience: the great guide, Dayvid (he is fun, energetic, knowledgeable, and very passionate), the great cool, Timoteo (his food was soooo tasty!), the great crew of porters (they were super helpful, attentive, and hard workers), the fact that they limit the size of the groups to 8 people (we were 7 and got super close during the 4 days, which made the experience super special). Its about 3 month ago, when i went with friends together to Cusco, but my memories are still fresh about it, certainly deeply burnt into my mind. We have choosen the 4D/3N Inka trail tour were guided with Christian from SAM Travel. Our group had 6 members from the US, New Zealand, Peru and Germany. Mixing english, spanish and german was fun, while learning Inka with Christian. First leaving the civil world and entering the mountains was a pleasure, than having the tent, stuff and food organised by SAM was the comfort within. Walking about 40 km up and down the mountains on the rocks layerd Inka trail was an ever wish. There is not only much to see, there is an forgotten way of live with earth. Soaking up the rules of nature and getting to know the INKA had ways has giving me back, what the civilised world has abandoned. My special thank to our guide Christian, who let us understand the way of thinking of an ancient civilisation, taught us the plants beside the way and is definite connected to its ambient. As i have ever avoided walking with unknown persons and on guided tours, i have learned up there a different view. Thanks to Fabiola, Briana, Kay, Raul, Leo and Christan.

We just came back from the Lares trek and we had an amazing time with SAM Travel Peru and our guide Luis! Me and my girlfriend where the only one in the group, so we basically got a private trek, All food was amazing, the chef made wonders with absolutely minimal gear.. While trekking we had the most stunning views. The trek was moderate in difficulty, with some hard parts. Luis made sure at every step of the way we were okay, initiated stops if he saw us struggling. Luis had so much knowledge about the area and the flora and fauna which was really nice along the way. He also had a lot of humor in him, so we had quite some laughs along the way.. The chef Fortunato and the logistics guy (Juan) were also incredible. Every stop they made sure we had a tent to have our food in case the weather was not nice enough to sit outside. They also made sure our tent for sleeping was set up every time we arrived. At the summit of the trek, we had a small snowstorm and Fortunato was waiting with warm coca tea, the sweetheart!! We highly recommend SAM Travel Peru tours and in particular our tour guide Luis and his crew!

S.A.M. advertises on there website that they'll cook your meals, set up your tent, and guide you through the Inca Trail, but it was so much more than that. We traveled for my friend's birthday and they made her a cake from scratch in the middle of the jungle. Our guides, Johnny and Maribel, were some of the kindest and most knowledgeable people I've ever met. S.A.M. Travel's guides need to go to school for 3 years and it shows. They were familiar with the archeology of every sight, sith the flora and fauna on every trail, and a lot of what made the trip better was having two walking encyclopedias to talk to while looking at the beauty of that is the Inca trail. I saw them carry the backpacks of others that were having difficulties and the porters will literally carry you down the mountain if your injured. They respect any extra requests you have, such as afjustments to the itinerary to stay in places for longer that are nice, or extra hot water or tea during the day. Our guides were also a hoot, super funny and always enthusiastic. I felt very taken care of from the time I got to the airport to the time I got back to it, they really think of everything. I didn't need to worry about getting permits, knowing Spanish, or doing research on traveling to peru. I would recommend this company to anyone who is wanting to experience the outdoors in South America.

I did the 4D/3N inca trek with Jhony and Maribel. They were both excellent tour guides - fluent, knew much of the culture and history, and allowed us to hike at our own pace. They even celebrated my birthday at dinner (super sweet!). A very rewarding experience and a trip I'll never forget :)

The experience is terrific. Our tour guides Jhony and Maribel have been the highlights of our tour. They’ve been so helpful and supportive the whole time and have been giving us lectures on local culture and history. It has been a real soul cleansing experience doing this hike.

The Lares trek with Sam Travel was amazing! Great views, delicious food and super nice team of people - our guide Jean Pierre was the best guide we had during our entire stay in Peru. I can really recommend this trip

The hole trip was amazing. The guide JP (Jean Pierre) took care of us from the beginning til the end. He had a great energy and knowledge about the nature and history of Peru. The lares trek had some amazing views along the trek. The chef cooked some great food aswell. If you love being in the nature, hiking some high mountains, sleeping in tent and enjoying orther peoples company, you should go on this tour!

We had an amazing experience doing the Lares trek, Daniel was a fantastic guide and very knowledgeable. The rest of the crew made us very comfortable throughout the trek, and the chef, Lucio, dealt very well with my gluten-free needs as a coeliac! All in all an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit Machu Picchu without the crowds! Thank you Sam Travel :)

Amazing experience on the Lares trek - 4 brilliant days. Daniel was a really great guide - such a nice guy and really knowledgeable, made the trek easy and enjoyable and Machu Picchu even more interesting. The whole trek was luxurious - the food was great, everything was provided and done for us - it was almost too easy! The route was perfect and we saw almost no other walkers making it feel special and isolated. Would highly recommend!

The 4 day Lares trek to Macchu Picchu with Sam Travel Peru was awesome! The entire crew was very professional and made it a really great experience. Its a really good mix of hiking hard, nice food and camping, and seeing sights (especially Macchu Picchu). The food was way beyond your typical camp food. The chef and assistant chef (Fortunato and Relle) went above and beyond every meal. They somehow turned the cooking tent into a restaurant. We had an entire cake with frosting on the last day. It was really impressive how tasty the food was the entire time. The porter Jose made the trip easy, setting up and breaking down camp for us and transporting our items on his horses. The guide Christian accompanied us on all of the hikes and around Macchu Picchu. Christian was so helpful, knowledgable, and accomodating. He helped make the trip special and would adjust based on our energy. I.e. if we wanted to go faster or slower while hiking, or adjust if we were too tired at one point. He was a great guide when we made it to Macchu Picchu and shared a lot of Peruvian history with us. Thanks to the entire team for their great energy and professionalism, and we'll definitely recommend Sam Travel to anyone we know who visits Peru!

We did the Inca trail 4d/3n to Machu Pichu. Amazing trip, amazing guided (Oscar), amazing food (Timeteo). If you want a small group with attention to detail don’t look anywhere else.
