We phoned around quite a few cookery schools and settled on this one as it was one of the only ones that would accept children. We were a group of five with three kids. The morning started with a short walk down to the local market to learn about the local produce and buy some bits. After that we made four dishes, of our choice from a larger selection, and all very tasty and easy to follow. The school also provided pick up and drop off from our accommodation with was very useful. Highly recommended.

I'm so pleased we chose Lanta Thai cookery school. Our family of 4, children aged 10 and 13 had the most fantastic time making 4 delicious dishes for dinner. The teaching is fun and accessible and the food is plentiful. We even took away a doggy bag! Everything is very clean and with a taxi provided from our hotel it was super easy. Drinks are available to purchase whilst you cook and eat and the proces are reasonable. Highly recommended and we can't wait to try the recipes at home from the cookbook we were given go takeaway.

An excellent morning. Lots of fun & learnt a lot. All 4 dishes were quick & easy to make & all tasted delicious- looking forward to making them at home . There was lots of food - the advice not to eat before we came was good but we couldn’t eat it all so our husbands benefited when we got back to our hotel with our leftovers - they also said they were delicious . Would definitely recommend.

Lanta Thai cookery school was amazing experience. We went to evening class and had 4.5 hours there. It was great fun, we learned a lot and met some great people. Hats off to the instructors who were fab (just can’t recall the name - so sorry!) We cooked 4 dishes and tasted them all and had so much to eat we had to bring a takeaway with us. Cannot recommend enough fab experience! (And cheap beer!)

Lots of fun! Great team had everything prepared so we could prepare many dishes from scratch in a fairly short time. And you get the option to eat everything you make or take it to go.

Amazing experience - friendly hosts, charming and cheerful master chef, very cosy and beautiful environment. Everything was well organized, the welcoming, introduction of the guests, the visit to the local market and the cooking course itself were entertaining and useful. The food was delicious, the cooking was fun. I do appreciate the customer orientation and entrepreneurial spirit of the owners/managers. I enjoyed a lot and strongly recommend this cookery school.

An amazing experience! highly recommended. The Thai ladies running it were so funny and friendly, and I'm so glad we did it. We were given a list of 10 dishes and as a group we picked 4 - we picked the Tom Yum Soup, Penang Curry, Pad Thai and Stir Fry with Cashews. They were accommodating with if you wanted chicken, prawn, mushrooms or vegetables, so you could make your dish your own. Also included a trip to the market to learn about the foods that we were going to cook with. I learnt so much, and such a great day. I also learnt that the school's initial profits funded the building of the local Lanta Animal Welfare shelter, and today they are the shelters biggest sponsors. Even more reason to go.

This was an amazing experience and worth every penny! We enjoyed the young lady leading our class. She was hilarious and needed a pay raise. All the food was some of the best we have had and we cooked it ourselves. 10/10 recommend

This was such a great experience. Really good instruction, loads of fun and loads of delicious food. The instructor was funny and friendly. We are vegetarian and vegan and we’re able to make all the dishes to suit us (including not spicy). I am so looking forward to cooking up a feast for my family when I get back. Thank you!

So much fun! Very lively group we had and the instructor was very sweet and spoke fairly clear English! Lots of fun. Good food. Don’t eat too much before! We had to take a lot home we were so full! We made chicken Larb, Chicken Massaman Curry, coconut soup and mango sticky rice!

Very nice experience! Even though I was the only participant, they didn't cancel the session. My teacher was super nice, helpful, patient and open to answer all of my questions. Everything is professionally organized. The choice of dishes covers a good range from soups, salads, stir fry dishes, currys and desserts (you can choose 4). They give you a little recipe book as well. I loved it! If you want to dive deeper into Thailand's cuisine and culture this is a MUST! I strongly recommend this place!

Amazing cooking class with San. She was very good at explaining and answering questions. She has good sense of humour and made the class very fun. We ate so much and we were able to takeaway too. We loved it
