Amazing day in one of the most beautiful scenaries I have ever seen. Our guide, Nicola, was extremely knowledgeable and kind, told us many hisotric details of the region and of wine making. We visited family-owned wineries that are really gems in both Barbera and Barolo regions and were so well received by the real wine makers who gave us a master class on the whole wine making process, terroir and appelation distinctions. The tastings were generous and insightful, such great wines all of them! I couldn't be more satisfied with the whole experience, a real must for any wine lover who wants to learn from the real masters in their real life setting.

My wife and I have done 10+ wine tours and this is definitely up there. A few things that stood out: - The somm / guide really knew the region and the wineries - we asked a very of questions and none stumped him - The wineries were an interesting selection, carefully chosen to show off different aspects of the region (geography/terroir, style, etc). Each winery was a very different experience, and the approach to the selections of wine were unique - Our somm understood the wines super well. He was also good at guiding the tasting process, which is always fun for us because we love getting into the weeds of it all I think this is a great tour if you're a consummate wine lover / have taken a few tasting courses (my wife and I have WSET 3)

We had a spectacular time today on a private tour with Nicola. He was extremely informative and very personable. We had asked for a tour just focused on white wine and that is exactly what we got. We especially enjoyed the very personal experience at Pietro Rinaldi. We would highly recommend this type of personalized tour!

Had a great day of wine tasting at two wineries with Luca. Both the tastings were held in great locations, one in a grand old room/museum and another with sweeping views of the Barolo region. Luca is very knowledgeable with his wine and easy to talk to. Lovely experience.

Our private wine tour with Marfa was wonderful! Her knowledge and interest in winemaking was evident from all the info she shared with us. She took us to 2 wineries, where we learned an incredible amount about winemaking from the very nice and knowledgeable owners, who were quite generous with the wine tasting. An added treat was the restaurant with a spectacular view that Marfa chose for our lunch, where we were introduced to some local specialities. Overall, the tour was very worthwhile, especially with Marfa as a guide. Chris P

Highly recommend this tour with Pier! Firstly, we could not have had a better tour guide. Pier’s background (growing up in Piemonte) and his training as a Sommelier provided us with an opportunity to be introduced to Piemonte viticulture by someone who can bring you inside the world of wine making and leave you with a special connection to the people and the terroir of Piemonte. We visited two beautiful vineyards in Langhe (Paitin and Palladino) where we met the winemakers and learned of their history and the winemaking process. Wine tastings were both extensive and generous! Pier’s close relationships with the many top tier vineyards ensures you a high quality experience. Lunch was enjoyed in Alba at the Enoclub Ristorante which provided excellent local cuisine in an elegant atmosphere. Fabulous day with our gracious sommeliers Pier and Nicola. We visited Paitin and Palandino wineries in Barbaresco and Barolo, Italy. We had a private lunch below the castle at Seralunga d’Alba. The winemakers were great and knowledgeable. I particularly appreciated Lucca a Patin who had just returned from a marketing visit near our home in Seattle, Washington. Great wine, great winemakers, great weather. Our expectations were exceeded in every direction.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day with Nicola. It was great and instructive driving through the scenic areas of Barbaresco and Barolo. Nicola was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable about the area and the wines. We tasted at a small winery in both Barbaresco and Barolo and enjoyed both experiences. The restaurant Nicola chose for lunch was excellent. The pace of the day couldn't have been better.

Marfa was great. Punctual, knowledgeable and fun! We had a great time on the tour. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing day with Marfa. Pier and Marfa tailored our tour to meet our interests, even adjusting the schedule so we could fit in a truffle hunt and several wine tastings. We got to taste amazing wines, meet local producers, and have a beautiful lunch al fresco. Pier and Marfa were so knowledgeable and helped us understand the food and wine from the region. I highly recommend this experience for anyone visiting the area. Exceeded expectations.

Great education about the region and overall agenda for a tour. Really enjoyed time with our guide Nicola, and the two places we visited (especially Fabio at Castello di Verduno) were great for comparing and contrasting. Nice and private setup to have great conversation, got a great sense of the area.

It was true pleasure to take winery tour and tasting at “Poderi Colla", in San Rocco S. d'Elvio (Alba) and winery tour and tasting at "Monchiero" winery, Castiglione Falletto. Our hosts at the wineries not only guided us through different wine features but helped to learn the connection between the wines, the people and the land. Our Sommelier Nicola did fantastic job showing us beauty of Barolo and Barbaresco areas and shared wealth of knowledge about the area and the vineyards.

We had an unbelievable time with Pier in Alba. He picked us up right from our hotel and we rode in style in his Tesla through the Italian countryside. We spent the morning in Barbaresco, had a lovely al fresco lunch in Alba, and enjoyed Barolo in the afternoon. We learned so much about the area and had an awesome time doing it. We will absolutely be back!

My wife and I are very knowledgeable wine people. Riste picked us up at our hotel and we had 2 tastings. The first was very technical in Barolo but connected a lot of dots in this difficult to understand region. We enjoyed meeting this very passionate farmer, wine maker and owner. Next was lunch at a perfect location on a balcony overlooking the Cannubi hills. The last tasting in Barbaresco was all about the wine made with a special love and finesse that made it stand out from most other tastings. The owner spent a few hours with us as more and more bottles kept appearing. Resting was a great driver, very knowledgeable and made us feel like long time friends. A remarkable day in a remarkable place. Bravo!

This was our first visit to Italy in many years and a friend suggested One on the Hill tours. This was a highlight of our trip. The places you visit in Langhe area with this agency is exquisite. Furthermore Sommelier Nicola is very well informed and tells you many stories and nitty details the places you visit. What an experience, definitely recommendable. And this won’t be the last visit. Rather the first of many more. :)
