The trip from Milan to Lake Como and its villages was an unforgettable experience, all thanks to Luca! His warmth and friendliness made the tour truly special. From sharing fascinating insights into the region's history and culture to indulging in authentic local dishes, every moment was a delight. ! Luca ensured a seamless experience but for first timers arriving early is advisable as navigation in the station can be tricky. Also, it is advisable to have breakfast beforehand and bring some water with you especially on warmer days. The trip offers excellent value for money with a duration that is just right, allowing us to soak in the sights without feeling rushed. Overall, this was an exceptional experience and we highly recommend it!

We were the only 2 booked for the tour to Lake Como on the day we visited so, by default, this turned into an unexpected private tour. Lucca is exceptionally organized and ensures that all instructions for meeting tour guides are detailed and understood prior to departure. That made for a very smooth tour. The tour itself was also exceptional. Sylvia was our tour guide for the day and we had a driver (Andre?) and his new Mercedes at our disposal for the tour. Sylvia was a great tour guide, very friendly, energetic and informative, who spoke fluent English. She ensured that the itinerary was customized to our liking and pace. Varenna, the ferry ride across to Menaggio, the drive up the lake shore and the restaurant for lunch, were all highlights of a truly memorable day. Spectacular scenery on a warm spring day with Sylvia providing informative commentary along the way. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Northern Italy.

Luca and Silvia were wonderful hosts. We had a great day seeing Varenna and Menaggio. We made a special request to go for a hike and they took us to Val di Mello which had fantastic glaciers and hiking trails. Thank you for a truly unforgettable day during our short trip to Milan. This was a great trip. We were a relatively small group which made it more personal. The group was great as were the guides. From meeting Flavia at the train station to being met by Luca it ran really well. We wasn’t blessed with the weather but it didn’t impact the day at all, you see so much and are given so much information and history. The lunch stop was great and I would highly recommend the barely soup. Divine! The whole day was fabulous and the whole group including Luca and his team kept each entertained for the whole day.! If you are looking to see Lake Como this is the one to book, small group, great guides, what more do you need.!

Our experience with Paola as our guide was simply outstanding! With her local expertise, she showed us hidden gems we would've missed otherwise. The tour logistics were smooth, with clear directions to the meeting point provided upfront. We started with a lovely train ride, setting the tone for the day. Our driver then took us to explore Lake Como's wonders. Throughout the day, we enjoyed breathtaking views and explored a medieval castle. A relaxing ferry ride gave us a new perspective of the lake. Lunch at a local spot was a highlight, with delicious regional dishes. After, we had a nice walk arund the city. We visited local farmer and had a wine and food tasting. Also Paola took us to an amazing shop with hidden wine and cheese basements. Big thanks to Paola and our driver for making our day memorable. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Lake Como!

Wonderful tour of Lake Como. We weren’t expecting it to be this good! Got the train there and meet our guide, Sylvia, on the train. She was brilliant! She lives there so has a great deal of knowledge. Met our driver, Fabio, at the station. Again, he lives in the area so knows the roads very well. Got taken on a little tour of the area and up to a castle to take in some amazing views. Then on to a ferry to cross over the lake and driven to a local restaurant. One of those places the locals use but the tourists won’t get to. The views were amazing. Photos never do it justice. We made our way to a very old shop (family business for four generations) where they have wine cellars and age cheese and many other bits. That was really interesting. Good opportunity to get some gifts for people back home. There’s more to the day than you would believe. Just a really enjoyable day tour, really well put together by Luca. He was wonderful at helping us and getting us sorted out. Thoroughly recommend using this team. It’s five star.

What a lovely experience! I don’t even have the words to describe how kind and generous Luca and Guilia our guide were. (And Luisa who met us at the train to ensure we got there safely!) Guilia was so personable and knowledgeable and wanted us to have the best experience, took all our photos and was genuinely interested in knowing us. Luca was able to also get to know us and figure out the places we would enjoy the most. The vineyard stop was also the perfect ending of the day. I would recommend this to anyone in the Milan area! Favorite day of our entire trip. The views and pace of the trip was perfect all around.

It was a very beautiful trip. The landscape was wonderful. Luca is a very good guide and he combines Italian history, taste and music.

What an amazing day with Luca ! He made our experience on Lake Cuomo so very special and unique - from a hidden village to a cheesemaking farm and of course the Lake - we were mesmerized !! Luca is a total gem and we were so fortunate to have him as our guide - grazie Mille Luca!

My daughter and I came to Milan for spring break in March 2024, and we originally booked a different tour with Luca which involved both a short tour of Lake Como along with a scenic train ride on the Bernina Express to the Swiss Alps. However, when we arrived at the train station, our tour guide asked us if we had brought the passport with us or not. Unfortunately, we did not bring our passports since we have previously crossed countries within Europe with no issue. We decided to not take the risk and just stick with exploring Lake Como for 12 hours, which still turned out to be a lovely decision! After an hour train ride, we met our tour guide Luca at the train station in Lake Como. In the following hours, he drove us to various little towns within Como, and Luca was incredibly knowledgeable with engaging historical commentary. Along with my daughter and I, there was a couple and their son, totaling the tour to five people. This allowed for an intimate and engaging day because Luca repeatedly made sure each of us was happy and okay. After lunch, Luca surprised each of us with a cup of gelato, which, of course, exemplified Italian hospitality. In the afternoon, he took us to a cheese-making place in the Como countryside, which was a very unique experience, and we even got to sample the freshest cheese! Towards the end of our tour, Luca also did a quick stop at a very small, un-touristy village, and it was absolutely beautiful. All in all, despite not being able to visit the Swiss Alps, this detour was still a memorable experience! My only suggestion is to emphasize bringing a passport at the top of the Swiss Alps Viator page, so future tourists do not make the same mistake as us.

This is a must see tour of Lake Como and the surrounding area. Even though the entire tour was almost 12 hours long, it went by very quickly. Our tour guide, Luca, was outstanding. He was very, very friendly and knowledgeable. He was born in this area and the restaurant in a small city that we would have never found on our own, was probably the best meal while we were in Italy.

Luca truly made this experience incredible. This tour was the highlight of our whole trip. Luca is personable, kind, friendly and cares greatly about his guests. As a local from the area, Luca can show you the hidden gems of Lake Como giving you a real taste of Italy! He went above and beyond to find us a local spot for lunch and a small family owned vineyard for a tasting. He even brought us to his local gelato shop! By the end of our day with Luca, he felt more like a friend than a tour guide. We are so grateful for our time with Luca, and would recommend this tour 100%.

WOW WOW WOW. What a fantastic day. Our small tour group ended up being just my husband and myself, tour guide, Silvia and driver, Walter. No bus for us...a Mercedes SUV instead. Silvia was very knowledgeable, friendly and listened to us. loved Lake Como and Vareena. We had distant relatives in Ponte in Valtellina..so Siliva and Walter stopped there and we had a talk with the locals. Very emotional. Lunch was at a little restaurant in the middle of nowhere. It was fantastic. The manager Andrea was amazing as well. Could not have asked for a better day. great people. Can not thank Silvia and Walter enough...

We met our guide, Mara, at the train station for the 45 minute ride toward Lake Como. The group split up on arrival and we joined one other couple for our tour with Mara and driver Ivan. The Lake was beautiful but the other stops were equally impressive. Our stop at a grocery that had been in existence for several generations was mesmerizing and we tasted several types of cheese there. Lunch at an agrotourismo where almost everything is sourced on the farm was delicious and somewhat interesting as I don’t ever recall donkey being on a menu. Then it was off to taste a little wine before heading back to the train for our return to Milan.

This tour was the authentic Italian Tour! We saw amazing landscapes and experienced things that we would never had seen if we were on our own. Our lunch was ‘out of this world’, our group bonded well and our Tour Guide, Cinzia and driver, Evan’s local knowledge and friendliness made for an unforgettable experience. Would highly recommend!

We booked this tour expecting it to just be another one of those tours. However we are greeted by a private tour of Lake Como and its regions by a lovely Ilaria. llaria was well versed with the area and she brought us to the nooks and crannies. We most enjoyed the view at a park which she brought us to as well as a local farm to dine restaurant. Would definitely be back for another tour with LUCA! Thank you for the wonderful memory!

Luca was an amazing and welcoming guide. He made myself and my friends feel at home, and showed us Como int he most beautiful way. We got to see the hidden gems of different towns and learn about the traditional cultures and foods! Then wine was an additional plus point 😉 could not recommend this tour enough, and thank you again Luca for the highlight of our trip!
