Wonderful experience. Highly recommend, especially with young kids. This is an exciting and fun way to have a look around Kyoto while keeping everyone together and engaged.

My family and I took a rickshaw ride in Arashiyama the other day. I rode with my sister, and our guide was Somei. The trip was smooth and fun. Somei’s English was so good, and he kept us engaged throughout the ride. He gave us insights about the area, was entertaining, and made the trip fun. He kept making sure that we were comfortable. The trip was so enjoyable it went by so fast. Arigatou gozaimasu, Somei-san!

We had such a wonderful time on our rickshaw tour of Kyoto. Yuta was lovely and did a great job taking us through the bamboo forest and surrounding town. Such a lovely thing to do - would highly recommend!

Mr Yoshinori Ishikawa was our driver, we took a 30-min tour ride from Ninenzaka to Yasaka Shrine (upon our request). It was a joyful ride as Mr Yoshinori was a good driver and shared many knowledge and information with us along the way. He takes really good photos and videos too! happy that we tried this service and my mother had a great experience!

Nao was absolutely amazing, really friendly and welcoming. He was very knowledgeable and would answer all our questions and made the whole experience so personalised. It was a lovely rickshaw and he treated us with the upmost respect and took us all around the quiet back routes of the area, and you even have a private path in the bamboo forest!! It is worth it just for that. He takes magnificent photos of you and they are all trained in photography for this

My husband was slightly skeptical about taking a rickshaw tour in the bamboo forest at Arashiyama. However, this tour greatly exceeded our expectations, Our guide, Kazu was knowledgeable, entertaining, and courteous. Even though the whole bamboo forest area was loaded with people, there was a rickshaw-only path that allowed us to avoid the crowds while enjoying the beauty of the bamboo grove. While we toured and learned about Arashiyama, Kazu took the time to take photos of us in all of the best areas - he definitely knew all of the best photo spots and took really interesting photos! The tour was not overly long, and the rickshaw cover provided significant shade even on a very hot day. We believe that there was excellent value in this tour. We plan on taking the tour again when we visit in the fall next time so we can see the changing of the leaves and enjoy the beauty of the area in the fall. This was a wonderful experience. Domo arigato, Kazu!

The trip was excellent! We chose to go on the 90 minute tour and I recommend that to everyone. We had time to stop and take photos of the lotus pond, had time to look at the bullfrogs, spent a great deal of time in the bamboo forest, and had a nice tour of some quieter parts of the town, and we passed by some shrines. The rickshaw driver was excellent, very knowledgeable and humourous. We appreciated his conversation on the way. I highly recommend this experience.

It was one of the best experiences in Japan. It was a really hot day but my husband and I were comfortable and the guy who pulled the JIN RIKI SHA must be horribly hot. His tone of the voice was gentle by explaining things in English and took a lot of photos for us to enjoy later. We will come back and highly recommended!

Our rickshaw ride was amazing! Our driver was Kaito Dejma and he kept us safe and happy. He took many pictures of us which we treasure. Thank you Kaito - the city and gardens are beautiful.

Amazing experience! We were able to ride through the bamboo forest avoiding the crowd of people and had amazing pictures taking by our tour guide. Yuma was our tour guide and we had an amazing time speaking with him, he was very knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return.

It was fantastic!! They knew Spanish and English super well, and they were really nice and funny. They stop and take amazing pictures for you! I had so much fun and I absolutely loved seeing the beautiful views.

The rickshaw tour was a very special way to explore the area with a knowledgeable and charismatic guide. My husband Nick, daughter Georgia and I had a 70-minute rickshaw ride with Yuta and Ai at 11am on Thursday 22nd June. They were amazing: very friendly, with great personalities and they shared loads of interesting information with us on our journey. It was a very wet morning and they took great care keeping us dry throughout. Yuta was also a great photographer and took many fabulous photos as memories of the fab experience. Thank you very much! What a fun activity to do in Kyoto! Yoshi, our rickshaw driver was fantastic and was so positive and upbeat, despite the unrelenting rain. Highly recommend this if you're only in Kyoto for a few days and want to maximize your time here.

Make sure to have the same guide as us, as that is an experience of its own, Mr. Takyto The fantastic knowledgeble guidence, and positive energy from Mr.Takyto, running around with us for 1 hour was priceless. It was pouring down but he remained focused and laughing all the time.

I have been to Kyoto several times but this is my first time taking a rickshaw ride as I was physically very tired and could not walk much. Since I enjoyed and wanted to visit the bamboo forest and the surrounding area, I decided to take a 45 mins ride as i have another appointment thereafter. I had a ride with Shinnosuke. He brought me around (an internal path for rickshaw) and took very nice photos and the back of Arashiyama bamboo forest and the streets. Shinnosuke was very attentive and assuring as I was concerned of my weight as I am big and fat. He was very careful and cautious and always alerted me whenever the road was bumpy. I enjoyed myself very much !

Very professional!! The 70 mins ride shows me and my family the best of the city. Especially If you have limited time of the visit, this is the most fun, comfortable and the best way to learn about this beautiful part of Kyoto. You will love it 👍
