A fantastic private rickshaw tour of Arashiyama bamboo forest. Our guide Kosei was so knowledgeable and really loves his job! He said he didn’t speak English well but we understood every word. He took the most amazing photos. We did the 60 minute tour and that was perfect. Communication with Larissa via email was excellent and we would highly recommend to everyone.

My wife and I took a 45 min rickshaw ride through the streets of Arashiyama and its bamboo forest. Our guide Satoshi was a powerhouse, a friendly and knowledgeable guide and a wonderful photographer. A ‘never to be forgotten’ experience

Our experience was amazing, unique and fun. The bamboo forest tour was especially beautiful and one we will remember for a lifetime. The entire experience was very organized and our driver, Taiga, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and spoke great English even while pulling us through the forest. We were pleasantly surprised to mutually discover he went to school in Montana which is where we live. I highly recommend Kyoto Arashiyama Rickshaw to anyone visiting Kyoto... and make sure to ask for Taiga!

WOW WOW WOW, what can I say, this is money WELL SPENT, my guide was Yoshi, who spoke excellent English he expertly navigated me round the area and through the beautiful Bamboo Forest, explaining to me all about Bamboo and how it grows he was very knowledgeable very polite and stopped to take lots of photos. We visited some amazing streets with beautiful temples and shrines and he told me all about the history and the architecture he really was a gem. He works so hard running along pulling people all day he must be very fit. I will recommend this trip to everyone I know and on my next visit I will do it again for sure. The Rickshaw is comfortable with a blanket should you require and even rain protection should the weather turn wet. I felt like he knew so much and was so kind. He even told me about Tofu and Sake etc. Thanks Yoshi, CHEERS MATE!!

One of the best experiences I’ve ever had. The scenery was great and Kazu was an amazing host. He is such a great photographer and took wonderful photos of us! 10/10 I highly recommend it!

Fabulous and unique experience. Our guide Seiya was very thoughtful, courteous & had a wonderful sense of humour. This was a great way to see & learn about the bamboo forest. Seiya took some great photos.

What a wonderful tour . The 70 mins wasn,t long enough so will have to return for another tour. Our Driver Itchy was a treat to behold and gave us all the information about the Bamboo Forest. Excellent tour with an excellent guide (Kanki). Not only was the rickshaw fun and provided us with excellent photo opportunities, the guide was fantastic. So funny, kind and a great guide to Arashiyama. His English was perfect and we felt so welcomed throughout the entire tour. He also took some great pics for us. 100% recommend - very much worth the price.

Wonderful way to see the bamboo forest and surrounding neighbourhood. Our train was delayed, but our driver called and said he would wait. The rickshaws have a private path through the forest so we could avoid the crowds and the pictures were spectacular. Loved the lotus garden in the middle to the residential neighborhood.

The rickshaw ride with Ebisuya was a unique experience. The driver, KOSEI was very professional, exteremly friendly and full knowledgeable. He took some wonderful pictures of my wife and me at picturesque spots throughout the ride. Recommend this experience strongly

The Arashiyama Bamboo Forest in Kyoto is a popular attraction known for its spectacular scenery. With gentle breezes rustling the leaves as they blow through the bamboo, it's a great place to escape the heat of summer while taking gorgeous photos as memories of your travels.

We are a family of 4, with two kids (7 and 8 yo). Our tour was 30 minutes ride in the bamboo forest and surroundings. The riders were friendly, kind and took beautiful pictures. We will forever remember this experience. Thank you Amikasa, Naoki and Larissa from the booking office.

This was an amazing experience with Ai, our wonderful rickshaw driver/guide. My partner and I are so grateful for Ai’s caring and positive approach to the tour and life in general. He was super attentive and patient with answering all of our questions. We were so impressed with Ai’s strength and how he made the ride feel very comfortable throughout our 1-hour tour. We highly recommend this to anyone who wishes to experience the beautiful Bamboo Forest and Arashiyama town and its many little sights away from the crowds, as well as the main street. If you wish to know about historical facts and stories, Ai was also very knowledgeable. To top it all off, Ai is one of the best photographers around and we walked away with the best photos from our trip. Thank you so much, Ai!

This was such an amazing experience! We had tried to book this tour previously in advance but had no luck, so when we found Koki-san offering us a ride, we were thrilled! Koki is hilarious, energetic, informative and kind. He also took lots of amazing photos of us along the way. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! Thank you Koki-san!

Awesome experience with Yugo . He is so strong to run the rickshaw for me . He is super attentive , caring and feel so safe on his rickshaw. He is super skilful in photography too. He keeps expelling on the route about things and history seeing on the way. Truly appreciate everything Yugo does , he speak good English too . Thank u ! Would highly recommend for sure for anyone . I would think I would do again when I come back to the city , as it’s really nice to explore the city this way .

My family of three had a great time on this rickshaw ride. The weather was very hot and the area was crowded, we appreciated being able to ride in the rickshaw away from the crowds. Our driver was sweet, kind, knowledgable, and patient with our 6 year old son. We highly recommend this activity!
