We had a great experience. The combination of the market tour with the cooking afterwards was perfect to learn most about the ingredients. The Kimchi making was fun and the recipes really good. I would really recommend this experience.

My husband and I loved this experience and highly recommend to anyone spending a few days in Seoul. We spent just the right amount of time in the market, hearing from Jun about the different produce and products. We then were coached through the kimchi making process for 4 kinds of kimchi! And they were all delicious, especially the fresh cabbage one. You get to take what you make with you which may or may not be a challenge depending on your travel schedule and baggage situation.

It was really nice to get a little tour around the market. The class was just 4 so it was really personal and enjoyable. The kimchi was delicious with a little meal made for us at the end. Would highly recommend if you want to learn about kimchi and how to make many different kinds!

I loved that we started with a walk through the market where Jomin explained all the ingredients we were going to use. I feel confident to buy the ingredients I need in a Korean grocery store to repeat the recipe when I get home now. Very fun experience cooking and eating and it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this and probably any other of her food tours as we had a sneak peek at the recipe book. Five stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ would do again.

Loved the history and walking through the market. We made tons of kimchi and while it was a nice idea to pack and take the rest, with travel it did t make sense.

We became rapid friends with the others in our group. Our teacher was excellent: Organized, easy to understand, quick to explain everything well and clearly, encouraging, and knew her stuff well. We had so much fun. We laughed and talked as we made FOUR types of kimchi. I highly recommend this class, especially to those who like Korean food, love to cook, and enjoy people.

Such a great experience! Jomin met us at the market and explained very carefully about all the ingredients we could use and how to use them. We then followed her to her cooking studio and went to work making 4 delicious kimchis, which we could take with us. We packaged them well. We also go to enjoy them with makeolli and pork belly. It was such a great time! We also met others from all over the world. Jomin was very gracious and patient. Thank you for sharing your food and culture with us! We can't wait to make some more and share with my other friends in Seattle. Also, we received a really nice recipe book so we didn't have to memorize everything! Thank you, Chef Jomin!

This class was so fun! You start with walking through the market and get to learn about some of the food. Then you go to the chefs kitchen which is awesome. You’re given her full cook book so you can make things more than kimchi. The class was pretty easy to follow, the food was good, and you get a lot of kimchi to take with you after. Also you’re made pork and tofu to eat with your kimchi. Overall super happy and would recommend

We enjoyed the market tour at the beginning a lot and we really liked learning more about how kimchi was made. However I felt like the actual class was a little bit rushed and stressful. But all in all it was a great experience and you walk away with a lot of kimchi! Unfortunately we found out when we got back to our hotel that we couldn't keep kimchi in our hotel fridge due to the smell so we had to throw it away. I would recommend booking this class on the last day of your trip!

An amazing experience! We walked through the market of Mangwon, had a 15 minute break to get some snacks and afterwards we went on to kimchi making. You'll get your own cookbook where you can make the recipes at home exactly like how you made it in the studio! 100% recommend.

My husband and I loved this class!! Started out the food tour at the nearby Mangwon Market to learn about the ingredients typically used in all types of kimchi. Super informative. We then walked around the corner to the gorgeous studio where we made 4 different types of kimchi - long term kimchi (with boiled cabbage), fresh cabbage kimchi, radish kimchi, and cucumber kimchi. We each had our own station set up with everything we needed! We each did all the chopping and mixing, with the help from our guide giving us super detailed step by step instructions along the way! We learned so much about not only how to make kimchi but the history of it as well. At the end they give you a plastic bin to transport the kimchi you made it + you make a plate to taste it at the end along with pork and tofu (made by the team there). Our only call-out was we would have loved for the container given to be leak-proof as we were traveling with it but we popped into the nearby market and bought a leakproof tupperware for a few dollars! Overall 10/10 highly recommend if you have interest in kimchi!

We greatly enjoyed the class. The teacher was both friendly and professional, and began by taking us on a tour of the food market, introducing us to unique Korean dishes and their ingredients. During the lesson, we learned how to make four different types of kimchi. The studio itself was pleasant, and kept clean for our use.

Fun and delicious! Our instructor was attentive, organized and knowledgeable, plus very patient. The combination of the local market visit, cooking class and dinner at the end with others who enjoy kimchi was a truly delightful experience. I would highly recommend this!
