My husband, son and I had a blast and an amazing morning riding with Rick and Devante to the best snorkeling spot in Kona. Our guides were very knowledgeable, professional and fun. Highly recommend!!

This is my second time doing this trip with Captain Zodiac, and will not be the last! I love this trip. From check in to disembarking, everyone was friendly and welcoming. The boat ride alone is a total blast, add the fantastic snorkeling and knowledgeable crew and you have yourself a total winner!! At one point we were the only tour in the bay!!! It was serene.

What a great tour and trip! Captain Marco was awesome and took the time to find us an incredible pod of pilot whales that were being followed by four white tip sharks. We spent a good chunk of time with them before heading to the reef. Reef was fantastic, dolphins were jumping in the bay, and really we couldn't ask for more! This tour leaves you extremely satisfied and they do a wonderful job!

Highly recommend this company! We had a great trip with Captains Ashley and Marco! They were super knowledgeable, went out of their way to make sure we saw as much sea life as possible and made sure we were all comfortable and having a great time. We have done the snorkel trip to the Captain Cook monument three times and this was by far the best trip! Included lunch, snacks and drinks were excellent as well.

Went on the Beat the Crowd snorkeling trip. It was AWESOME! Captain Rick and Devonte were the best! Knowledgeable, helpful, professional, and HILARIOUS! The boat (called Revenge) was amazing. We had great snorkeling, saw several whales, dolphins, and even an eagle ray when pulling into the dock! High speed, invigorating, and a great time! Gotta go here if you plan hitting the water!

Captain Marco was amazing!! He was so knowledgeable and you could tell that he truly enjoys what he did. We saw tons of whales, dolphins and more! Huge value and smaller crowd meant an overall better experience compared to other tours. Their rafts were incredibly comfortable, lunch was light, but healthy, and the crew had all of the snorkel gear ready for us. Book this tour!! You will not regret it.

Marco and Kalea were excellent hosts and remained as excited as we all were. Many sightings of whales, dolphins as well as the excellent snorkeling! These two were tremendous and highly recommend them!

We had a great time on the zodiac! Our guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and fun to chat with. They are excellent storytellers, and the snorkeling itself was also great, with lots of colourful fish. I definitely recommend the tour to any visitors!

Marco and DeVonte were terrific! We were first time snorkeling. They were informative, entertaining and made the whole experience a time that will always be remembered!

I was a little skeptical of the small raft but I will take the rough, cozy ride again and again for the perks. (I also did catamaran to Captain Cooks). The locations we were able to get to for snorkeling were the best! The crew was amazing. The best part for us though was the whales! We were able to quickly (way faster than other boats) get to where the action was…and there was SO much action the day we went out. We saw probably 10 breaches, tail flaps, tail lobs, and pectoral flapping. I know we were incredibly lucky and it’s not an everyday experience but the speed of the raft and great eyes of the crew spotting them made it possible to fully enjoy the experience. Zodiac will be my go-to from here on out.

Captain Marco and first mate, Devonte, were fabulous! They provided lots of history, jokes and an all-around excellent experience getting to and from the bay! Bonus….got to see a mama humpback and her calf! The snorkeling was INCREDIBLE and our crew made sure we were all safe and comfortable in our own experience levels! Highly recommend as the fish were abundant!!! Zodiak ride is not for the faint at heart so if you like adventure on the high seas, this excursion is for you!

Capt. Ashley and Patrick are amazing. It was a high surf day but she was an expert driver and rode the seas as comfortable as it could be. We loved the ride almost as much as the 5 whales with 18 breaches so close to us. The ocean was too rough to go into the caves like we did last time, but the crew made it amazing in so many other ways. The snorkeling was incredible as well, of course but the ride, the whales, and the crew was so memorable! Would do it every time and request Capt. Ashley and Patrick. Highpoint of the grandkids and our vacation!

This boat with Captain Ash and Patrick got out when others were not and we were able to have the best whale watch and snorkel trip. We were surrounded by whales!!

This tour was well worth the experience! We got almost 2 hours to snorkel, which was so amazing that we stayed in the water the entire time and only got back on the boat when it was time to leave. The rest of the tour after included seeing some cool geological structures and hearing historical information, which rounded the experience out nicely. Would definitely recommend if you want to snorkel but not so early in the morning like the other tours offer.

Our captain, Shaggy, had a great personality and entertained us with history, anthropology, and info about wildlife. His knowledge was phenomenal! Saw spinner dolphins, humpbacks, eels and a turtle. Kealakekua Bay (Captain Cook Monument) had the best biodiversity of the six spots that we snorkeled. Got a thrill-ride back to port and rescued two hats 😁

Our first trip with Captain Zodiac was over 25 years ago! We’ve had great trips every time. This trip was with Captain Ashley and first mate Shelby. We went with Captain Ashely last year too! She is excellent. You learn so much about the area, ocean life and history. She is very knowledgeable. Shelby was very efficient and helpful. We will be back!! We highly recommend this trip and would not go out with anyone else❤️
