Our shore excursion on Ko Samui with Mr Samui exceeded our expectations. We had a great driver who skillfully navigated the narrow and often congested streets. Jane, our English speaking tour guide, was exceptional. She not only shared with us her vast knowledge of the island, its people and the local sites, but she also squeezed in an extended stay at a beautiful beach where our group relaxed, got Thai massages, and enjoyed drinks at local prices. Our only regret was that the shore stay was way too short.

Extraordinary experience, the driver Mr. NooM couldn't be better, very good driver, extremely friendly and attentive, very good guide explaining the history of the places and items visited and open to visit proposals, in short, an extremely well spent 6 hours, I just loved and highly recomended.

We discovered Mr Samui on a Youtube video of a Koh Samui vlogger so hoped the experience would be top-drawer - and it was. A great half-day private tour of Samui's sights with Nat, our driver and guide. Friendly, informative, and totally flexible with what we wanted to see or do and we managed to tick-off most of the bucket-list sights. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would not hesitate to recommend this family-run business to others.

As a solo traveler, it was a great way to see the island. Noom was a wonderful guide, knowledgeable, kind and very flexible with the itinerary. Wow. What an amazing day! Yankee listened to what we wanted to do, and customised our day perfectly. We were not rushed, he gave us insight into the places we visited, explained the Thai culture and how it linked to each site, and allowed us time to explore by ourselves. Super friendly and welcoming and engaging for us and our teenage children who thoroughly enjoyed sitting on top of the 4x4. We stopped at an amazing restaurant in the mountains. A 5 star experience and we couldn't have asked for more. Thank you!

Great idea to plan your own tour. Although you play roulette with your driver and English. Although now we have google translate - it’s never a problem.

We had the best time on our private tour with our guide Yankee. He showed us around all the best spots on the island and provided lots of very interesting information about local life and sights. I would highly recommend this tour if you want to learn more about Koh Samui and don’t have your own way of getting around. It was definitely the highlight of our trip and it was so good we also booked in for the Jungle tour with Yankee, 2 days later! I would also highly recommend asking for Yankee, as he really made our day special!

Hassle-free way to explore around the island! Our driver/guide was very friendly and knowledgeable - he explained the history and background of the places we visited very well. The restaurant (The Roof Samui) he took us to for lunch had a very nice view and the food was also lovely... We would 100% recommend!

We were Picked up in top end 4x4 Very clean and very cool ideal for the summer heat Tour guide Noon was very accommodating with professional driving and knowledgeable about the area The tour is tailored around you We asked to tour the main sites with some lunch thrown in If you do a bit of research you can request your own stops Like a very cool beach bar in fisherman village, we drove past it but went back a few days later Most of the sights in Koh Samui are a mixture of temples and gimmicks with stunning viewpoints thrown in 6 hours is plenty of time and a good way to see the island if you don’t fancy risking a scooter

We had a wonderful day with Mr Thai. Learnt a lot about ko samui at each of our stops and had a lot of laughs . It was also a relief to get back to the comfort of the a/c van. Highly recommended this private tour.

We got off the cruise ship and the 4 of us looked for our guide; couldn't find him at pier so we walked to the end of the pier and still couldn't find him. We finally called Viator/Mr Samui, was told that the guide was there, that he will come to our location. We finally met up, but we expected a "Mr. Sulphot" as we were told on the phone, and instead was greeted by "Mr. Wit". This took already at least half an hour, in the hot sun, to find each other. He was polite enough, but his English was limited and could not provide commentary on the areas we were driving through, as well as other points of interest. So we lost out on an educational portion of our tour. He took us to where we wanted to go, and was courteous, but unfortunately it was a poor start as we wasted time in finding each other at the beginning, and his poor English was not helpful in understanding our surroundings and the culture. This was not what I expected from Viator and would request a refund.

We initially went to one of the numerous elephant sanctuaries in Ko Samui. The animals were well taken care of and beautiful. They also enjoyed the watermelon feeding we provided to these magnificent beasts. We then visited several of the beautiful temples found throughout the island. Lastly, we visited the grandfather and grandmother rocks found along the coast. Very interesting!!! As it was becoming quite warm, we skipped lunch and returned to the ship. A wonderful day on the island of Ko Samui highlighted by the elephant sanctuary.

Bin was the best guide ever. He customized the tour for us and we saw and did everything we wanted. We felt sorry for the canned tours in huge busses.

We had such a wonderful experience with Nikki! She was so well informed and so much fun. She treated us like family and while soaking up the sun and swimming in the warm crystal blue waters at Chewang beach, she arranged for massages and delicious, spicy local Thai food. Would definitely look up Nikki if we make it back to Koh Samui.
