It was a great experience! The team lead by Rashid was very professional, knowledgeable and experienced. The team was very supportive during the whole journey but especially in the summit day, we truly appreciate that. The food was good quality and tasty, the accomodation was pleasant. We cannot express our gratitude to the whole team, thanks to them we have this memory for life.

This trip was the biggest accomplishment in my life! Meet so many people from around the world and was able to be a part of a team to conquer the mountain. Altezza and the team executed perfectly. Couldn’t have asked for more.

Feb. 2024, 10 Japanese members, include 85year old man, climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro. Without them our climb would not have been possible. They are the best tour company with really great support. I would definitely recommend this company for support. I would like to see everyone again, including the chief guide Joshua, the sub guides Kelvin, Starson, Honesty and Frank, who looked after us, and other all members!!

Would 100% recommend Altezza! Our team leader was Peter who was exceptional in organising the team to assist our group of 8 on the expedition. The other guides we had helping us were amazing, and were Godson, Osward and Joesph. The overall team of porters and chefs were incredible, always with a smile on their face. The food was excellent and they catered to our dietary requirements. The team adjusted the pace for our group to make sure we were all comfortable. They answered any questions we had about the mountain. We learnt so much from them in terms of not only the mountain itself but also life philosophy too. Summit day was a big challenge for us, however the team motivated us and we all managed to summit. In particular Peter, Godson and Osward struck the right balance in terms of pushing us to our limits and enabling us to succeed. We were also told by many members of the team that Altezza treat their staff very fairly and they were all happy to work for them.

One of the most hardest trip/hike I ever did in my life so far, but was worthwhile. Next time more preparation in front. Very professional guidance that helped us achieve this goal.

Joshua and Tumaini were excellent and attentive guides during our Kilimanjaro trek. They ensured that everything went smoothly and on schedule, making our climb an unforgettable experience. Just climbed Kilimanjaro for a second time with Altezza. Climbed with a family friend and my youngest son. This trip was just as amazing as my climb was 4 years ago. Altezza does a great job during the entire process. From working with you months before you land, to walking you through orientation to guiding you up to the summit. The entire process is top notch. It was a very nice experience - from the start until the very end. I felt save, competent and very nice guides who encourage the whole group of 9 persons also during the hard summit night. And the celebration with cakes (and beer at the entrance gate) was great !

If I could give these guys 6 stars, I would!! They were excellent. I'll start by saying where I give these guys 6 stars, I give my airlines 1 star--They lost our luggage for 3 days, with all our clothes and gear for the hike! Altezza was very flexible: We asked if we could turn our 6 day hike to 5, hoping that our luggage would show up the next day, when it didn't, we had no choice and Atezza lent us all the clothes and gear we needed for the climb...Even drove us into town to by items we needed like toothbrush, toothpaste, etc., rearranged our hotel accommodations, etc. for us. When the luggage finally did show up, they had porters pick it up at the airport and carried it up the mountain to get it to us for the rest of the climb. Awesome. For the hike itself, guides, porters were awesome, accommodating. Made it, what could have been a disastrous experience into a great experience. Even were fair in their pricing. I highly recommend them to anybody, looking for a no worry, great experience.

Altezza is a professional company but what makes them great are the people they have at the front lines. We took a private tour for the hike. Pre-hike & booking were very systematic & easy. The team guided us well in helping us to make our decision. Instructions were very clear and the team were punctual. Our Kilimanjaro trip was amazing and we made it to the top and got back down safely, thanks in no small measure to our amazing team. Our guides : Wisen, full of life and knowledge. Exaud, man of steel. Both guides were extremely dedicated to their work, and did their best to make sure we made it to the summit safely. Iddi, waiter and daily encouragement. Samwel, chef who delivers amazing warm food and hot water bottles. Paulo, Porter who came to the summit with us and lift some extra loads, top young man. These are the guys of note, there were countless others who helped make this such a dream come true. On a side note and as a general comment of Tanzania, the place is incredibly clean, very little rubbish, the place is a credit to all who live there. We very much love the place, and would love to come back. Will definitely use Altezza as our tour company again. God Job Altezza Team! Lov, Paul & Christine Tips - do it early June. No heavy rain during our trip (we didn't need ponco). Weather on summit day was superb! No crowd as it wasn't peak season yet and we managed to get private room each time. Toilets in our accommodation were clean (they have dedicated cleaner to clean it on daily basis). Water supply available in all toilets except Kibo Hut. No shower, so make sure to bring wet wipes. Electricity available in all 3 huts - Mandara, Horombo, Kibo, so do bring your chargers with you.

Had a great time. Was placed in group with two other guys. We hit it off instantly. Everything, from airport pickup to drop off by Altezza was very professional. The support group, especially the guides, were superb. One of the most challenging things I’ve done in my life (I’m 65), but well worth it.

from the very beginning Alina the agent from Altezza has made the process smooth and easy. I am a solo female tourist and I felt completely safe. I had a late flight arrival and the driver Praygood was easy to spot as he was the 1st person in line at the airport to pick me up and transfer me to my hotel. Altezza did a great job on double checking all my gear to make sure I have what I need for summit day at Uhuru peak. They are not trying to sell you on the rental they really want to make sure you won't be cold during the trek. All the huts are well maintained and the food provided by Altezza all throughout the trek was very good. The waiter Jonas took great care of us, if we didn't like the food or preferred a particular food or if we needed hot water he would provide for us right away. Joshua guide checked our oxygen and heart rate twice a day. The guides made us walk slow from the beginning of the trek in order to get used to the pace as it will be the pace we will use for summit day. The pace really helped, any faster I would have breathe heavily and struggle on summit day. We were practically the slowest group climbing up on summit day coming from Marangu route but the staff from Altezza was very patient and they saw us struggling. they sang to us and motivated us to continue. In the end we were so thankful that our group summitted to Uhuru Peak. I am amazed the whole mountain runs on wifi. I was able to facetime my family throughout the hike and at the summit of Uhuru Peak On the way down there was snow in our path descending down the peak so they put crampons on for us even though the section of snow was very short. they made sure that we walked safely on the patch of snow. During the ascent and descent to the peak we originally had 2 guides Starson and Joshua but they added 2 more experienced porters to summit with us so that all 4 tourists in our group were well taken cared of. Unfortunately when we got back to camp the whole group experienced altitude sickness. Joshua the guide made sure we received the necessary meds to make us feel better and contacted the rangers to evacuate us by jeep and taken down the mountain and arranged the transfer back to the hotel. My mother back at home was worried so she contacted Alina the agent for an update and Alina was on top of everything and kept her up to date. At the end of the tour I got a nice medal and certificate for summitting Uhuru Peak.

I had a fantastic experience with the Altezza team when climbing mout kilimanjaro. Their customer service beforehand was always quick and helpful and this transitioned into the hotel before the climb. The guides were professional, friendly and motived you to get to the top. I suffered bad altitude sickness on top but the team were equipped with oxygen and helped me return safely. Can't recommend highly enough.

The Altezza team did an amazing job allround. The guides, hotel, team, preparation advice and service were fantastic. I climbed with 8 other solo travelers. All 9 of us successfully sumitted via the Marangu route. I would highly recommend Altezza for anyone looking to climb Kilimanjaro

When we choose a company to organise our holidays everything is perfect until something goes wrong. In that moment we can clearly differentiate among operators. When my mother passed away, in a couple of days, I had to cancel and reschedule what took us months to organise and my spirit was not the best. Altezza was committed in providing very fast answers and best solutions that enabled me and my soon to go to Tanzania. What could be a huge problem was a smooth transition into a new agenda. We really felt confidant before starting! The guides were very professional and had a very impressive climbing experience. Great food! In the hard summit day/night the group was amazing, from singing to us in the hardest moments, to the close health check up…I have only positive comments to make. I felt completely safe with them and that was very reassuring. The combination of the climbing with a safari was perfect.

I had the best time at Kilimanjaro- with the best tour provider Altezza! They really took care of everything (medicine, lots of food, great advice, a lot of knowledge on the mountain) and were super friendly. The entire crew was amazing (incl guide, porters, chefs).
