Writing this review 4 months after successfully completing my 6 day Kilimanjaro trek with Altezza travel, I can safely say it was simply perfect. No exaggeration. Every element from airport pick up, to each persons medical and dietary constraints on the mountain. EVERYTHING is thought through by a brilliant and lovely team of Tanzanians. The itinerary was planned to the minute, and remained flexible for weather and the groups pace. Our 8 person group had a 100% success rate on the 6 day Lemosho route. The team of guides and porters are so generous and welcoming and have so much knowledge and experience to share. Special thanks to Joshua our brilliant lead guide. On the mountain, you can tell Altezza are a cut above the rest, you will not be disappointed with this premium option that supports sustainable porter employment. Honestly a life changing experience and I use that sparingly.

What an experience!! I read many reviews of the climb through Altezza on line, majority very positive, but none prepared me for how superb the experience through them would be. Starting months before the trip, our rep, Anna, was absolutely brilliant, organizing everything for us to ensure all was smooth for our arrival. Then once here, everything was beyond perfect, from how amazing the hotel staff were, to the unbelievable guides (Peter and Rashid) and the team. I could not recommend this experience and this company enough!

This climbing experience was amazing. It went way beyond what I expected. Kilimanjaro is absolutely beautiful, our group had an awesome once in a lifetime experience! This was in great thanks to the expert team Altezza provided for us. Our two guides Rashid & Peter were extremely professional and friendly, both caretaking in their own ways. They even went above and beyond to help us grab some amazing pictures throughout the hike, which we are extremely grateful for. The rest of the staff was amazing as well, from chef to porter they all cared so much for our well being and helping us achieve our goal to reach the peak. Special shout-out to our assistant guides in training, Abdula, Jackson, & Feragi who came with us on summit night with our guides and motivated us the whole way up. All in all as a first time climber, I definitely recommend using Altezza for this adventure!

I was blown away by the professionalism and quality of care the Altezza team of guides and porters provided for my friends and I on our trek up the mountain. Our guides, Peter and Rashid, were very knowledgeable and went above and beyond throughout the 6 days. The food Osman cooked was incredible as well. The team here was great. Could not have asked for a better time. Also, Abdullah the guide in training was very energetic and his charisma helped me on summit night as well on the tough descent. Great time!

Great place to retreat and relax before and after the climb! Recommend it to all the mountain lovers! Monkeys on the territory is a great bonus!

What a memorable experience!! My group and I enjoyed an extraordinary time on Kilimanjaro. The weather conditions were favorable as we pursued our dream. The entire team from Altezza provided their continuous care and attention to all our needs and concerns. While on the mountain, the guides, cooks, waiters, porters and their assistants were extremely friendly and shared countless stories with us. Their guidance was essential for the success of our expedition. Extremely grateful to have benefited from such a wonderful experience.

Choosing Altezza to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro was easily the best decision my group could have made. The lengths that our crew went to in order to make us have the most personalized and special experience stopped at nothing. Our entire crew ran like a well-oiled machine for us...we neither waited for nor longed for ANYTHING, and that is the standard that Altezza adheres to, from top to bottom. We had three expert guides leading us every step of the way; we had two guides-in-training who surely will be great when their time has arrived; we had the best chef and waiter combination on the mountain, there is no question. The chef and waiter combination are pretty key pieces here because: a) you HAVE TO eat, and b) you spend probably the most face-to-face time with your waiter. Our waiter was a combination of a motherly-type (who made sure we were getting enough nutrition in us at all times), as well as one of the most personable and goofy characters in our group. Our guides were surely cream of the crop, all three of them. It was very clear that the team they had chosen were the very best and they had the most instrumental pieces in place to make that engine hum. Medical checks multiple times a day started on Day 1 and didn't stop until we left the park property. This was pretty vital for our group, as we saw first-hand the amount of care and attention that goes into an ascent to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Our group saw a couple struggles with the altitude acclimation, however, our guides were absolute professionals when it came to the stresses and various symptoms that they dealt with in our group. One of our members even required oxygen after we got to the summit. That individual was the most grateful for the guides' expertise out of all of us; and his health was checked on religiously until we left the mountain. Our camps were always entirely made for us, with our bags already in tents, on a daily basis after each day of hiking. We always had the most ideal piece of the campground as well. If you're looking to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, I don't think there is any other choice than to use Altezza. The family atmosphere and welcoming with open arms that they showed from the very beginning of the trip to the very finish was second to none that I could see on that mountain over the course of the week we spent there. The singing, celebrating, and inclusion into the Altezza family will forever be in my group's hearts.

I had an absolutely amazing time in Tanzania and both myself and my friend frequently discussed how we felt like Altezza were undoubtedly the best tour company we could have chosen, and that we were extremely happy with our choice. For me the key areas that stood out were the comprehensive nature of the package i.e. Altezza took care of everything from the park fees, transport, food, tents etc just everything was completely planned out and well executed so all we had to do was focus on the mountain. As I am sure many people have commented previously, the food is outstanding (being served pizza at 4000m is hard to overlook) so overall morale for the trip remained high. All of the staff members I interacted with throughout the duration of the trip were also extremely welcoming and helpful, I enjoyed spending time with the guides and porters like Erik and Mohammed on the mountain and communicating with the Sales Manager Constantine prior to the trip, it felt like nothing was too much trouble and that we were in safe hands. Overall I had a very positive experience and could write many more lines complimenting the service I received, I also struggle to think of any constructive feedback so thank you very much for being a part of the experience.

Despite not being able to make it with the team to the top, this was an unforgettable hike! Altezza Travel took care of every detail and we were supported by a stellar crew from the start to the top! Go Team Leopard 4, led by Elia! He monitored our progress throughout the entire trip and his organizational skills, managing the guides, the crew and hikers was exceptional. Elia's confidence and always positive demeanor kept us going despite the difficulties! Imran & Godfrey led guided us through various trails of the 6-day route and allowed us to enjoy the hike, always kept a positive outlook, kept us hydrated and focused throughout the entire trip! Lastly, the entire crew made us feel exceptionally great, Jan, the waiter, Isaac the cook, Ramadan, Kombo, keeping us well fed, hydrated, entertained and supported with smiles and well-wishes. So grateful for the entire team of Leopard 4 from Sept 11-Sept 16. They were a stellar crew!! Kilimanjaro is a must, item on your bucket list, a gift that will keep on giving! Thank you so much to the entire Altezza team! I can honestly say that summiting Kilimanjaro was the best experience I have ever had in my entire life. The porters, the wait staff and the chefs were absolutely amazing, as were the staff members who helped us organise our hiking gear (whose names unfortunately escape me) as well as the the drivers who transferred us to and from the airport. The entire business is extremely is also extremely well organised, and staff go above and beyond to ensure your trip runs as smoothly as possible. The mountain guides, however, were nothing short of phenomenal. Their experience and professionalism absolutely blew me away, and their ability to motivate and put a smile on the face of even the tiredest climbers was incredible to watch. I will definitely be back to climb Kilimanjaro with Altezza again!

I don’t know the route bet it was the best hike that I’ve ever had. They were very helpful with everything and made sure I was comfortable Stanley Stanford and Justin were great. Alex has great potential.

Awesome experience. The guides, cook, servers, and porters were exceptional. They all were most helpful and considerate. They all went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable, healthy, and safe. Rama and Faraja were very good serving us food and snacks. Justin, Stanford, and Stanley were excellent guides. Each of the were prepared to administer aide as needed and were knowledgeable about all aspects of the trip. I recommend this company if you want to summit Kilimanjaro.

Our guides, cook, waiters and porters were amazing! Truly we had an awesome experience. Everything from summiting to having great food, tea up on the mountain during the climb, tents set up and ready when we arrived to camp, and clean portable toilets. Medical aid was provided when needed and our guides offered lots of motivation and energy. I would definitely recommend Alteza Travel. Thanks for a great experience!

Joined a group Kilimanjaro hike with Altezza and had an absolutely fantastic experience — from organizing to the trek itself to the return to the hotel. They’re definitely more expensive than other companies but you get what you pay for — which is impeccable service at every turn and equally as important, guaranteed fair treatment for the porters, as Altezza is a member of KPAP. I went with a budget company for my safari and I’m so glad I didn’t make the same decision for Kili. You really want a company you can trust for this experience. Special shout-out to the awesome Joshua, George, Frank our guide and Frank our waiter; to the fantastic summit porters who made it possible for our whole group to summit; and my ever patient account manager, Alina. Bonus points as well: I celebrated my birthday during the trek but didn’t explicitly mention it to the company when planning. But nevertheless they must have caught it on my data sheet and the crew surprised me with a cake after dinner. It was very special. I’d recommend them to anyone!

We absolutely recommend this trip and Altezza company. The trip was amazingly planned and the website of altezza is very user friendly. We had amazing 6 days in the mountains. Our guide Elia was super experienced and was able to help us and guide us in every moment. He performed twice per day health check ups and his experience in dealing with high altitude environment was vital for me to accomplish the summit. Rama, the assistant guide was by my side not letting me quit in the most difficult moments. The rest of the team was so organised and nice to us. We had amazing meals cooked by William, and served by Jan. Rama the camp master had our tents immediately prepared when we arrive at the camp sites. The porters were amazing and we're always able to help us. We recommend the rent of the portable toilet since the facilities in the campsites are usually in bad conditions. Andrea was the responsible for ours and bo doubt that this was a big part of our confort. With a team like this anyone can summit one of the 7 summits !

The Altezza experience for the 6-day Lemosho Route from start to finish was flawless. All logistics outside of the expedition itself were completely taken care of. Then the expedition itself exceeded all expectations. Every member of the expedition team contributed in a huge way and was always incredibly friendly. The amount of detail everyone put into making us as comfortable as possible was unbelievable. Special thank you to our core support team Ramadan, Jan, Ramadan (campmaster), and William. An amazing team of 18 people took us to Uhuru peak on the 2nd of October. It was a great experience from start to end, friendly and professional staff that look after us the entire trek keeping us comfortable and safe. AMAZINGGGG! Hard, but worth it! The crew is EVERYTHING! You’ll never have a better assisted ascent! Organized, entertaining, heartfelt through and through. Bring/wear old gear to donate to staff. And bring small candies and snacks from your country to share - the staff love them! A bunch of rock stars! Couldn’t recommend enough!
