We had a wonderful time. The zodiac ride was a fun roller coaster ride. Was so much fun. The bay was very stiff which is great for snorkeling. Some great fish. Recommend you take an early time because this area gets busy. They have noodles to use which was great so you can take breaks without having to dog paddle the whole time. On our way back we saw spinner dolphins and a sea turtle. Great trip.

So … my 8 year old told me that he had three highlights from this tour (and basically Hawaii) #1: Devonte. #2: The snacks #3: His new license for a roller coaster! … Mom, Dad, and brother loved captain Rick and … yes Devonte is hilarious and a sweetheart. The snorkeling was so amazing. This crew hits all the fun-o-meter! Mahalo! Worth every cent! Devonte… Justin said good luck with your one…. (Hundred) girlfriends 🙌🏻💯

We did this excursion off our cruise ship with this company. I tried to book separately but was told I had to book through the ship which was a lot more expensive. For the price we didn't even get the full 4 hours. We left around 8:30am and we're back around 11:30am and my daughter and I would've liked to snorkel more for the price we paid. Also my daughter was feeling very nauseous on the way and when we were asked if we were ok I told them how she wasn't feeling good and I was ignored. Other passengers gave us some advice for the way home how she could watch the shoreline to avoid feeling sick but the people running the tour didn't help at all. Also there was no heads up about the stops on the way home so we could have our cameras ready and the history given was super rushed. I felt like the captain had other places to be and we felt a little ripped off by the whole experience. The only reason I gave 3 stars instead of one was because the actual snorkeling was really fun and we saw a lot of interesting things. Otherwise for customer service I would give one star.

We had an awesome 4 hour snorkel tour with Captain Ashley today! She was amazing with our kids and family, and she took every opportunity to make sure to maximize our trip. She even spotted manta rays and had us jump in the water to snorkel with them! We saw dolphins, sharks, fish and rays today, along with learning some fun stories about the Big Island history. I highly recommend this trip for anyone, and Ashley is a lovely captain and guide!

Definitely not your average, Captain Zodiac is definitely recommended, Jason and Chuck were amazing and full of jokes

Marco (our Captain) and Kaila (guide) were both simply amazing. They know their stuff, share interstellar information and stories. They were very careful, attentive and funny. We were very lucky and saw whales jumping, dolphins playing around our zodiac, and of course lots of fishes at the snorkelling spot. Awesome!!!

We took the Captain Zodiac tour in late January when the island was getting a westward swell. It made it hard to get off of the cruise ship via tender but we are sure happy we did. Shelby greeted us at the dock and we were in great hands. Marco was our captain and gave us some great up close looks at the island as well as some of the local lore. Spinner dolphins and whales were included that day at no extra charge. Great trip and great crew.

The captain and first mate were informative and were very active with each of us during the tour. They made the tour great and showe us alot of interesting sights. They showed us whales and how to spot whales. They were lively and very friendly.

Captain Marco and co-captain Leila were amazing. We saw whales on the way to the bay which was icing on a great snorkeling experience. Time went by so fast I couldn't believe I spent an hour there. I took a star off because I was not offered a water bottle and the two Asian couples were also not offered a water bottle, only the white family of 5.... I'm sure there is a simple explanation.

This was an amazing adventure with our guides Ron and Brenna! A must when you are visiting Kona. First time snorkeling for us. Safety is a number one priority. Our guides were very well informed and entertaining as well! An awesome experience for us! We highly recommend this tour! You will not be disappointed!

We loved this tour. We had an excellent captain named Aryn. She was so knowledgeable about the area and created a great adventure for everyone on board. I would highly recommend this tour.

Marco and crew provided us with an absolutely amazing experience. All 3 were super knowledgeable and friendly, filled with great stories, endless information about the many critters, and loads of history about the area. They took the time to explain everything and help out folks that had any reservations about the experience (which seemed to dissolve very quickly). The bay itself was just incredible. We are fairly seasoned snorkelers, and the diversity of species, the incredible history, and shear beauty of the area are breathtaking and unlike anything we’ve experienced. The care and concern they demonstrate, combined with true Aloha sprit was much appreciated. We even caught a glimpse of a Humpback, explored some very cool areas along the coast thanks to that zodiac, and learned a bunch about this amazing island. This trip, it was just my wife and I on our 25th anniversary trip… but we will most definitely be back with the kids soon, and will be booking again through Captain Zodiac. These folks are awesome Absolute 5 star experience with some very cool folks that I’d highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed!

Been snorkeling many time in Kealakekua Bay. The Zodiac tour is the best. What made this time especially fun was Captain Marco. A fun ride, lots of history, very personable!

The ride was brutal. We had no life vest during the ride. We had to hold the rope around the boat and hold a handle in the boat, as well as having feet under the rope a security. There was a total of 18 people in the boat (zodiac). It was very thighs. The ride to the spot took 50 minutes. So brutal we all were soar the next day. The snorkeling was good. There other boat that go there, it seems a better ride as well as for safety. Be aware.

This trip was so much fun!! The zodiac was fun to ride in and we visited/learned about many interesting features of the island along the way. The snorkeling was amazing - so many beautiful fish and there was plenty of space to explore in the water. Rick and Davonte were fabulous guides - funny and knowledgeable and super nice!! I highly recommend this for all ages!!

Great experience, Captain Rick gave us nice information and was a save trip captain. Miss B(renda) (who als lived in Den Haag, Netherlands) took good care for her guests. Great hospitality and both very nice people. I can surely advise this trip if you're looking for some action on the water. The snorkling are was good but not special. Lot of snorkling people!

What an amazing way to start off a trip to the Big Island! My husband and I were fortunate enough to have Miranda and Captain Rick taking care of us on this tour to Captain Cook's monument. We enjoyed the adventurous ride with beautiful views of the ocean and landscape. The weather and current couldn't have been more perfect. I would recommend a secure hat with strong drawstrings. No sights of dolphins or whales that morning but that's fine. Captain Rick was very informative throughout the experience where we made different stops along the way to and from the monument. He was great about anticipating our every need and we felt safe. We arrived and got to enjoy the snorkeling for some time before the other tours appeared. We saw a diverse range of sea life and an abundance of coral in pristine clarity. We were lucky enough to find an eel and eagle ray. There was about an hour of snorkeling allowed and Captain Rick made sure to still keep an eye on us and help accommodate our needs during this time. My husband is a fairly new to snorkeling with bad vision and the Captain assisted him with the snorkel mask/goggles. He also provided us the rules and tips on where to go and what to look for. All in all this was a 10/10 experience and would recommend Captain Rick and Captain Zodiac Raft Expeditions to anyone visiting the Big Island

Brenna and Patrick were amazing so good with our kids who are 7, 10, and 13. I’ve been all over the world doing these kind of tours. Brenna and Patrick were the best guides I’ve had on any tour in the world by far.

This tour was awesome with lots of great views, snorkeling, and history! Cory and Brenna were amazing tour guides!
