I had an amazing time on the adventurous tour I went on yesterday. Renate and Sofia, our guides, were absolutely lovely and made sure we had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The highlight for me was definitely visiting the stunning waterfall - it was incredibly beautiful. The traditional Portuguese lunch was delicious, especially the tender meat dishes, and the restaurant had an authentic atmosphere. The kayaking and swimming were great fun, and the off-road journey to the waterfall added an extra thrill with all the bumps along the way. Renate and Sofia shared interesting insights about the village we visited and made sure we got some great pictures. I would wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone looking for adventure and authentic Portuguese experiences!"

Had an amazing time on this tour. Our guide Diogo was super enthusiastic and had great energy and an even greater playlist. The tour is a wonderful way to gain access to parts of Portugal that as a tourist would be difficult to explore off your own back. We learned lots about the culture surrounding the national park and enjoyed the beautiful setting of the trip. Lunch at the restaurant was tasty and filling and the activities throughout the day were thoroughly enjoyable. The highlight of the day was visiting a gorgeous waterfall and swimming in the pool below. Would 100% recommend for anyone wanting a day of adventure and outdoor activities.

Fantastic tour. Nuno is wonderful (and we benefited from two other guides training who will be excellent too!). This company does a wonderful job of giving you the full Gerez experience. The park is beautiful, the waterfalls spectacular, and the setting incredible. We did the kayaking and highly recommend. We are a family of 4 with two kids ages 9 and 7 and they were wonderful with the kids. We couldn’t have asked for more from this experience.

We had a great day with Renate! We were picked up promptly at our hotel and driven to Geres National Park--which is stunningly beautiful. The kyaking was so chill and enjoyable and we had a lovely authentic lunch before departing on our hike. She noticed that we were game for adventure and modified our hike accordingly...we had a great time. I would highly recommend this trip if you want an active day outside of the city. I have actually already referred some of my friends.

Amazing tour! The highlight of my 1 week trip to Portugal! Miguel was an amazing guide. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and charismatic. The tour company as a whole has great respect for the park and the people who live there and it felt very special to be able to visit. Note: The roads in the park are very bumpy, so if you get carsick, you definitely need to pack some Gravol. If you don't get carsick it's a super fun ride.

Thanks for a great trip. Luis and Diogo arrived on time, knew everything about the local area and made for a fun day. The kayaking was awesome, (the fire water less so ;D) and the quality and abundance of the food was really unexpected. Topped off with a freezing waterfall plunge. The description on Tripadvisor says waterfalls, as in plural waterfalls. We only saw one waterfall the whole day and my expectations thought we were going to see more from this due to how they described the tour. Also, the hike to the one waterfall is not for the faint hearted. Very steep, very slippery and overgrown with shrubbery. My legs were cut with almost every step taken due to the prickly bushes that are all through the track. Made it uncomfortable to walk and stressful too. If I had been told, I would have worn long pants and shirts to protect myself. When I came home after the tour my legs were stinging from the cuts and I had to treat with antiseptic cream after showering. When I also explained how intense the walk to the waterfall was to the guide, the response I got was that he took no notice of this because he does this everyday. Perhaps some more information or consideration for first timers would help. The guide had lots of energy and enthusiasm. Would have loved if the guide also explained properly how the day was going to go. We kind of just got in the car and when he said get out we had no idea what for and had to always ask. The kayaking, free swim time at the lake and lunch was great.

The trip was amazing and our guide was incredible. The drive from Porto takes about 1.5 - 2 hours but is well worth it. We stopped for a coffee/toilet break along the way before getting to the park where we started kayaking. We kayaked for about 1.5 hours, stopping halfway to rest and swim. After that, we went to a nearby restaurant for lunch which was very good. Then we had a short drive to our hiking spot. It is a short hike to the waterfall and pool area we went to. After swimming we hiked back to the car and started heading back to Porto. Stopping at scenic points and for ice cream/toilet breaks again on the way back. Overall the trip great and the views were well worth the drive!

Emanuel made this tour incredible!! His energy kept us going throughout the whole day. The water on the lake was like glass, so it made kayaking to the private beach so picturesque. We’re from Florida, so the water was a little cold for us but nothing compared to the folks from England or Scotland! Also, make sure you bring a lot of motion sickness pills if you get a little queasy in car rides because after lunch, you really go off roading! It was so much fun though, we were laughing the whole way to the hiking point, which is a pretty moderate trek down to the waterfall. I would bring something like adventure sandals that have a really good grip so that you can wear those in the kayak and also wear for the hike down to the waterfall. I’ve never felt such cold water but it felt so refreshing after making the hot hike down to the waterfall. This was such an amazing tour. 11/10 would recommend. Book the tour!!!

What a fun trip! Emanuel was fantastic and had us laughing and smiling all day. The national park is stunning and i feel like we got to see some really great parts of it.

The tour guide was very welcoming and friendly. The whole experience is exceptional and well priced for what you get. The pictures don't do it justice.

Due to high wind conditions we ended up rebooking to the 4x4 geres tour. Our guide Diogo made the trip super fun, informative, and safe. Exploring the park, swimming in waterfalls and learning about the villages that live in the area were all great. The hikes were do-able for most ages. I would just recommend wearing pants because some of the brush might poke at your legs. Also, the lunch in the local village was great! Overall, we had a great trip and would rebook with this company again.

We had an absolutely fantastic day in Geres National Park. Our guide, Luis, was superb. He made everyone feel part of the group and had wonderful knowledge about almost everything - although he did enjoy embellishing on the truth at some points! He was a lot of fun and made the day really special for everyone. We loved the kayaking and the off-roading in the Land Rover. The waterfall and streams were so beautiful and somewhere that we would never have gone to on our own. The lunch was tasty and very sociable and it was great to support the local communities too. Thank you so much to Luis and everyone involved. I would recommend this to anyone!

We had an amazing day with Guide Emmanuel , informative from the start , we were only 4 in the group and it really felt like a private customized tour , kayaking was easy , loved swimming in the river , and seeing the waterfalls . Emmanuel was very attentive and accommodating , would definitely recommend.

Wow, exceeded all expectations! Our guide, Renate, was fantastic. Everything was so well organized and fun. It honestly was my favorite thing we did in our 8 days in Portugal. I cannot recommend this enough. Hats off to Renate for providing such an incredible experience and being part of such a memorable day.

Amazing trip! Where to start? Our guide Emanuel was really kind and greeted me with a big smile, his energy was contagious immediately. He was enthusiastic, attentive and knowledgable. The sights were beautiful and it felt like the perfect break from the city into nature & discovering some hidden spots where locals go. The lunch was also in a local restaurant where many of the ingredients were grown in the village (which we were shown too). Perfect day with great people! Except the music in that car, that was really bad :D More than worth the money.

The tour name and briefing notes were misleading because we (and the other guests) expected to do some hiking (possibly a few hours) but we only walked for about 10 minutes to one waterfall. It was a beautiful place though and not busy which was great. Although we enjoyed the kayaking, it was quite short and lacked a bit of purpose. We paddled across the lake to a beach and went for a swim which was fun but we thought there would be more exploring with the guide. The lunch was delicious and plentiful. Diogo was full of energy and exuberance. He was really knowledgable and passionate about the park. I would love to explore the park more with him. Having said all that, we did all enjoy ourselves and perhaps if the title hadn’t mentioned hiking, our expectations would’ve been met.
