We rented the Kayaks with Capt Yak to get to shell beach. Prior to the arrival, his communication was amazing with what to bring and directions to get there. On the day of the rental, the kayaks were out on the water and ready to go. He gave us a map of where to go, what would be easy for my family, locations that would be good to see some animals, fishing and shell hunting. If we go back, we definitely will be renting again from Capt Tak

We had a great experience with Greg on a guided kayak tour of the Shell Key preserve. He brought a wealth of knowledge to the tour and was very personable. We enjoyed mangrove tunnels and bird watching. We liked it so much that we rented kayaks from Greg two days later and had another amazing experience at Shell Key (shelling, fishing). We highly recommend Capt Yak!

Took a kyaking tour to shell perserve. So glad we did the tour. It was a windy day and having a guide know the water made it an easy paddle saw some dolphins, lots for shell, and wildlife. Highly recommend this outfitter!

We paddled with Greg and had the best time!! He didn’t rush us at all and took us through a lot of mangrove tunnels and across the bay. He provided a lot of information on the history of the area and of the wildlife. I would highly recommend Capt Yak’s kayak tours.

We had a blast. Great fun and a great way to get on the water. A casual nature trip excursion in beautiful surroundings. We enjoyed casually paddling and going through the mangrove tunnels. Enjoyed every Minute.

This is a trip not to be missed! We had a fun and informative kayaking experience through the mangroves and mangrove tunnels with Captain Yak. He was a wealth of information, kind and friendly, and found multiple sea life for us to examine. We especially enjoyed seeing dolphins!

The entire experience was awesome. Capt Yak is very personable and provided alot of information about the local birds, sea life etc. one of the groups overturned their kayak and he was right there to help them get back in!

This was an awesome tour! Capt Yak was very informative and accommodating to the group. Cara was also wonderful! We & our kids (14, 12, & 9) all enjoyed it! Such an amazing experience to go through the mangroves. We would highly recommend going!

Very informative and enjoyable. Captain Yak knows the history of the land and peoples and knows the waters around the keys and islands. A very worthwhile excursion for a single, couple or group.

So much fun!! Manatee right under our kayaks, comical birds, and Capt Yak took great care of us. Shell Island was beautiful. Highly recommend for a fun adventure!!

Captain Yak was very kind and helpful. He knew everything about all the neat animals, birds, and sea creatures we encountered. I have kayaked prior but my daughter had not, he kept a nice slow pace and made sure everyone was okay several times. We did see some dolphins and other native species. It was a long trip and my arms are sore but it was beyond worth it. You get a deal with this and would encourage if you want to explore Florida more than just the beach.

I had never been kayaking before, Capt Yak was a great teacher and patient with me on how to use the paddles. He was also very knowledgeable of the wildlife and history of the area. He also took pictures of my friends and I. I’m so glad I did this tour and will definitely schedule another one soon! I truly recommend this tour and Capt Yak, he made our experience great! :)

Highly recommend Capt Yak. Really enjoyed this and wouldn’t hesitate to book it again. Info on the eco system with a sprinkle of history made this more than your typical kayak tour.

Such a great experience!! Highly recommended!!! Capt Yak had a lot of knowledge to share with everyone. We seen birds that swam in the water beside us! The man-coves were so cool to go through as well. Shell Key is beautiful experience as well! Swam and looked for shells.

Capt Yak was funny, informative, and fun to be around. We learned so many things about the area and it's wildlife. Going through the Mangrove tunnels and exploring at Shell Key was my favorite! It was a very peaceful and beautiful trip. We were able to spend more time exploring and really getting close to nature than we would have on a charter boat.

Such an awesome experience! We had so much fun and would definitely do this again. Capt. Yak was great! Would give the excursion more than 5 stars if we could.
