We truly enjoyed our day with Scott and Karissa. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and down-to-earth people. Scott gave great kayak pointers before we started our day to ensure a smooth experience. Gave interesting facts about the wildlife and environment of the mangroves. All in all worth the money and would definitely recommend it!!!

Scott grew up in the area and shared a wealth of knowledge, experience and stories about the area and the wildlife. With a few Dad jokes mixed in. We saw dolphins, stingrays, bonnet head sharks, numerous fish species, osprey, pelicans and lots of friendly cormorants. Got a nice long break from the kayaks on Shell Island. Scott and Karrisa did an awesome job. We will be back. I would highly recommend them.

This was my second trip out Kayaking with Island Kayak Tours and I have to say it was just as informative & amazing the second time around. I learned even more and the tour was different this go round. Scott is a wealth of knowledge and is always willing to share it. I love the stories and information shared throughout the tour. I will alway book with them when I come down to visit my friend in Saint Petersburg. Plus they are a family owned & operated business! A BIG plus in my book.

The tour was just as described on the website - a great trip on a beautiful day. The guides were helpful and informative with quality equipment. It was a nice break from the bustle of crowds everywhere else.

My family and I had an amazing kayak adventure with Scott and Chris. Scott was so knowledgeable about the area as he grew up in the area. The mangrove tunnels were amazing and stopping off Shell cove was perfect. We all had an incredible time and was the highlight of our vacation. Thank you again Scott and Chris

Our family took this tour based on a recommendation. I will now be recommending it to others! It was great! Perfect mix between seeing the beautiful mangroves, to seeing Dolphins, birds, and fish along with a chance to explore, swim, and look for shells on the island. All of this with a great guided tour and history of the area. Scott and Karissa are wonderful.

Absolutely amazing and forever memorable! Scott is a knowledgeable and friendly guide, who took us first in the open waters then in fascinating mangroves off the coast of Tierra Verde to Shell Island Preserve. I learned so much about this fascinating ecosystem. We saw a variety of wildlife including dolphins, osprey, crabs, jumping mullets, and much more. I think the $45 per person price is ridiculously low for a 3 hour adventure, so we tipped appropriately! I strongly recommend!

We had a wonderful time kayaking to Shell Key and then back through an area with mangroves. Scott was was very knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting info about the wildlife and the area. Highly recommend!! So worth the time!

Scott and Christy are great kayaking tour guides. In that they grew up and live in the area, they are very knowledgeable about the Shell Keys ecosystem, the history of the Shell Keys along with the local area. A very pleasurable day kayaking. An easy paddle for even first time kayakers.

Best kayaking tour ever. Scott was helpful, knowledgeable and fun. His personal stories added to the adventure. They both attended to the guests needs. The scenery was spectacular and we learned a lot in the process. From beginning to finish, every detail was taken care of...they even carried bags so we could collect shells. Loved the mangrove tunnels. Kudos to Carissa for assisting our grandson when he got a bit tired and panicked by rougher waters at the very end. Would do it again!

What a fantastic day, with incredible weather. Scott and Karissa are awesome hosts for this 3-hour tour. Scott, who grew up wading the very waters and mangrove tunnels on which we were paddling, was a wealth of historical knowledge, weather and current patterns, biology, flora and fauna, and had some great childhood anecdotes as well. I would HIGHLY recommend this excursion to anyone--it was the definitely the highlight of our month-long stay in Florida.

First, not that there should be anything to worry about out there, they are totally dedicated to your safety. Once underway, the fun begins. From his earliest memory Scott has been exploring these islands and his knowledge about them and its natural inhabitants, which he takes great pleasure in sharing, is seemingly bottomless. He's a natural storyteller and teacher, the kind you wish you had in school. Karissa was a perfect partner helping people appreciate the incredible natural setting surrounding them. We did not bring cameras so she generously sent us some of the amazing pictures she had taken. All in all, a thoroughly wonderful afternoon on the water .
